He seemed wonderful the couple of times we met with him in the beginning and his work seemed to be done correctly. He gave us an original quote that was reasonable. He began the work and was paid a portion for the work done. He came back to us a few weeks later and said he had to go up on prices because everything in HVAC had gone up, October 2021. He purchased the unit and left it along with the water heater at our home. We paid him all but $500 of the $10,500 price. We were renovating our home and it wasn't ready to install. When time came to finish the job he didn't answer his cell phone, didn't return calls, rarely returned texts, missed 3 appointments with us. His voicemail was always full. I once called him using *67 and he picked up but just fed us more excuses. He never called to let us know before or after the appointment that he couldn't make it or had to cancel or even provide a legitimate reason why he missed. He had numerous excuses. He was giving us the run around. He basically told us to sue him to try and get our money back. He refused to provide warranties for the unit, condenser, and water heater. I have consulted a lawyer but even if we win in court getting him to pay is another hurdle. I recommend anyone stay away from him with a 20ft pole. Very unprofessional and he will steal from you in a heartbeat. You can't always trust someone no matter how great they seem in the beginning. Save yourself the money and heartache. Don't trust or use Caleb Egli to do ANY work for you!
