Will and the team at Griffin Mechanical took great care of us after my 1970's unit finally bit the dust. My wife was pregnant and it was getting hot out so this was not ideal timing. The guys were very respectful of my wishes and helped me size the system to add some ducts where needed. I changed where the air handler and condenser lived and it was not an issue for them. I am a construction worker, I'm particular about my house and want things done right. They not only did a great job, but they were friendly. Recently they called ME to set up a free service call to check the system and made sure we were tip top. That's right, I didn't have to call them. Now that's customer service. I told them to install Nest thermostat so I can test it for work, and I don't love it. They are going to come back out and put a regular one in. The tech tried to tell me but I was insisting for test reasoning. HVAC is expensive, so spend your money with the professional people at Griffin Mechanical. Saturday afternoon after Thanksgiving (holiday weekend of course) our heat pump stopped blowing air and of course the temperature was going to the 30's Sunday morning. The technician from Griffin returned my call in 15 minutes. While I was explaining the issue the heat came on so we decided to let it run hopefully until Monday. Sunday morning it wasn't working and smelled like something was burning. He was here within 30 minutes, discovered that the fan motor was burning out and the circuit breaker was hot and ready to burn. Sunday was cold. Sunday night was cold. Monday morning a tech was here with the new parts and had the heat back on before mid day. FANTASTIC and friendly service. We highly recommend Griffin Mechanical for HVAC and plumbing needs, especially if you have an outage and need to get your heat or air back on. First rate group and best service we have seen in this sector. We had an issue with our water heater continually shutting down in high winds. GM tech came to the house and immediately discerned the issue-- vent pipe too low. To fix required going to buy pipe extension and then getting on our roof- very high. Did the work and we have not had a problem since. Also fixed water pressure issue that was also a simple fix but other plumbing/HVAC firms missed. Go to Griffin for results. read more
