I definitely recommend getting multiple quotes and asking as many questions as you can about what is what is not included, no matter what. While we went with a different company for the foundation work, DocAir gave a great quote and scope of work for the encapsulation. In the end, we didn't do their recommended "storm water management", as we had only minor water intrusion from the outside, but a lot of water coming from condensation on the air vents from the incredibly high humidity in the crawlspace (over 90% humidity constantly during the summer), which was also soaking and warping the wood support beams and floor joists and getting behind the insulation. We did: 1) fungus remediation, which included the tedious and hard work of removing a huge amount of dirty and wet insulation under the floorboards, 2) trenching the edges of the crawlspace and installing drain pipes and a sump pump, and 3) encapsulation with dehumidifier (drains into the sump pump), which also included sealing points of entry like pipes and external vents. Note that the other quotes were more expensive and did not even include removing insulation or treating fungus (companies often expect you to hire someone else to do that before they start work). To set expectations, they are quite busy so be patient. It took about a month to get scheduled and another month for them to come out and do the work. A two-man team (Joselino and Orlando) did all the work over 3 days, and they were professional, polite, thorough, and did incredibly high quality work. I had the plumbing inspected before they came to ensure no pipes would leak into the encapsulated space, but they still found a leaky coupling and replaced it! DocAir supplies a remote temperature and humidity meter as well so you can continually compare the house to the crawlspace (you can check the outside weather report for another comparison). It's winter now, but we've recently had a few very rainy days with humidity reaching up to 94% outside. The crawlspace humidity has steadily decreased from 55% immediately after installation to 45% (very good!), and the house/crawlspace temperatures have been within about 5 degrees of each other. This suggests that the crawlspace is effectively insulated from outside temperature and humidity. Also, you can optionally have them come inspect the system every 6 months (for $60 a visit) to ensure everything is still working correctly, change the dehumidifier filter, etc. I plan to do this to make sure everything is still working well with the combined effects of humidity and my AC vents!

Since I wasn't physically at the property I decided to call around for some quotes. As soon as I spoke with someone at the Clean Air Co., I knew they were who I wanted to go with. They got it scheduled and said the technician would call me once he assessed the vent. To my surprise, the technician reported that the vent was already really clean and told me it wasn't necessary. He said he'd of course be happy to do it but he thought I'd rather save the money. I'm so grateful for his honesty. Not only was he awesome, but both of the folks in the office who I spoke with were very friendly and helpful as well. So, while I can't speak to the services themselves, I feel I can strongly recommend the Clean Air Co. based on my interactions with three different employees, who were all the kind of people I'd want working for me. I will certainly call them when the need arises. Thanks again y'all!

I wish I could write something positive, but I've lost all confidence in Climate Pro. The owner,…read moreRusty, really seems like a dependable person, but he was unable to stay organized. I was really cheering for him to deliver on promises that were repeatedly left unfulfilled. I had to stay on top of the process with Rusty the entire time. I am still waiting to hear back about warranty coverage. It's common for 2 weeks to go by and I have to follow up again only to be left with no response. I no longer trust that Climate Pro will honor any installation work. Rusty will tell you that he'll take care of all concerns and then not follow up or show up. When one pays over $7K for a new unit installation and duct work, there should be some guarantee of work and a responsive line of communication. My advice for future customers...If you really are compelled to work with Climate Pro, then I'd suggest you hold onto your money until every promise is fulfilled. Do not leave one thing undone, not matter how small. But be warned about the vacant promises... There can be no warranty for his installation work if he is not dependable.

We weren't imagining a national heatwave this week when we scheduled the appointment. Undaunted, Bryan worked through the heat for hours upon hours, even right through dinner, and got the job done beautifully and expertly. He was truly amazing!
