Been going to Todd for 15+ years now, he wont recommend something just to sell it, he's recommending it because he knows his stuff just don't rush him. can't rush perfection. I've seen him take apart reels that is used on party boat that probably should go in the recycling bin already but he can bring it back to life and it'll feel like it's brand new. his custom rods A+

A copy from Avet site with cost & terms to service reel.

Amazing little place doing amazing things! I originally set out to have an Avet reel repaired. It was locking up when I engaged the drag & it wouldn't crank. Took it to Fisherman's warehouse in Fairfield where they gladly took my reel & said I should have it back in 2-3 weeks. Well 2 months later & several stops at the store to ask them about it, they called & said they don't service Avet reels & to come pick it up! Needless to say I was very angry. My next thought was to have it serviced with Avet in So. Cal. But there was a lot of questions about the total cost. From service itself, part replacement, shipping & return time. So I google searched Bay Area reel repair & this little gem pops up. I read a few yelp reviews & I was like I have a Seeker rod that needs a new guide also & if he can't repair the reel he can at least do the guide on the rod. So I go in the store, show him what I got & he quickly diagnosed the problem with reel & explains how it happens. He looks at the rod & says no problem, looks at me & says it's probably going to cost you about $45 parts & labor. I was floored! I couldn't believe the low cost. He had my rod & reel ready for pick up in 5 days & he did an amazing job on the guide replacement. From now on I won't hesitate to bring all my expensive rods & reels here for service! If you live within 40-45 miles give this guy a try. He also makes custom rods & has a small but well stocked tackle shop complete with lures, weights, soft plastics, rods & reels!

My go to place for fishing reel repair. Todd can handle any fishing reel in need of repair and his rates are very reasonable.

(and yes, after you went on break, I did end up buying a Gregory but just a Gregory 20 for this trip lol) i'll be back before for a bigger one next trip. Previous visits here I've tried on a bunch of shoes and can I just mention how amazing the return policy is for members? Once I find a shoe I just keep buying it here because I want this brick and mortar store to stay open. But every once in a while when my shoe changes and I have to find a new one it's nice to know that you have a year to bring it back if it doesn't work out. :-) Keep coming back y'all in person, or the brick and mortar stores will die

My…read moreexperiences have generally been positive--REI employees are typically friendly and helpful, similar to the vibe at Trader Joe's. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at this location. The old lady that works there was unexpectedly rude during an unprompted interaction. With no eye contact or interaction between us she walked up to be and began speaking to me. When I looked up I was just confused because I wasn't even sure she was talking to me or the other person who also walked up next to me on the other side. When I didn't respond her attitude escalated and she spoke to me in a condescending, "talking at" manner, as if I didn't understand English. The completely unprovoked rudeness was so unwarranted.

Angel helped me out and made the whole pickup process smooth and easy. We talked about upgrades and accessories, and I really appreciated how knowledgeable he was about my specific firearm and other options. I have an optic and light ready for it, and he knew exactly which ones and gave me some pointers. This store has a great team all around, and I'll definitely be back for ammo and camping gear in the near future.

I was greeted as I entered the store. I did notice quite a few people waiting. I scanned the QR code, and was 7th in line. I observed other people waiting. Some looked annoyed. It seems like if you're not in line to do paperwork or pick up, it's easy to feel overlooked. I arrived at 12:20 and finished everything: DoJ paperwork, demo, and fingerprint/background payment at 1:09pm. Tabitha assisted me and also scheduled my pickup appointment. She is a gem and gave excellent service. I would recommend doing all firearm-related purchases, paperwork, or pick-ups during the workweek and before 4pm. Use your PTO. You earned it and deserve it. No excuses. Word on the street is that speedy service isn't available on the weekend, and Sunday is the worst day. You've been warned. I purchased my firearm online, completed the demo & paperwork on a Tuesday, and had a pick-up appointment 10 days later on a Friday at 1pm. I also received a text message on pick-up day reminding me to be on time. For appointments, they'll call your name; no need to scan the QR code. My name was called at 1:05, and I was walking out to my car with my firearm by 1:30pm. Shoutout to Edwin. He also provided superb customer service. I visited the store on Saturday evening around 6:30 to pick up a mag loader, and the gun counter was practically a ghost town. The sales associate assisting me at the front said that, hours earlier, roughly 100 people were waiting. Overall, my experience was splendid. I'll definitely be a frequent customer, and I live 48 miles away.
