Well its not real nice but apparently the County operates it and the camping spots are free. Also you are allowed to bring home furnishings, vehicles, boats and rubbish or whatever you want and leave it here and it'll get picked up and hauled away free of charge. I believe the waste pick up is bidecade so I can get a bit crowded around there. It is situated walking distance from lovely Crockett and all the residents are very friendly to Marine Center visitors. In order to be hospitable the residents have been known to let you take anything out of their vehicles that you may need to make your stay more enjoyable. That is if their vehicle doors are unlocked. The residence do discourage smash and grab. I believe the Marine Service area as well as the entire town of Crockett is pet friendly as there are pit bulls and other animals running freely around with and without leashes. I will definitely visit again.

Inventory has reportedly been reduced from 9 boats to 5, including only 2 surf boats, while pricing remains unchanged. At the same time, members are being asked to move to an "unlimited bookings" model that still limits usage to no more than 3 bookings per month!!! Last season alone, boats experienced issues ranging from failed ballast pumps and broken amps to damaged railings and inconsistent availability. Yet despite reduced inventory, aging equipment, and declining service levels, ownership appears intent on maintaining the same pricing without meaningful reinvestment. Anyone considering joining should do their homework, verify the facts independently, and speak with former members. Membership has reportedly fallen from 42 to 17 and continues to trend downward. That kind of decline does not happen without reason.

We sailed out of Sausalito floating across the Bay. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz and Angel Island. The city, the Golden Gate, and the Bay Bridge all looked so tiny and beautiful in the distance. It was so fun waving to people on the shore and having people on the other boats wave back to us. It was just such a happy, fun, and delightful experience!! The crew was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the whole trip even better!
