Had a great experience at this location I am not one to use a dry cleaners but needed too this time. The staff were very friendly and the work was done quick. It was done within one day for three sweaters. There was an accident on one of my items but the manager Jessica was extremely friendly and ready to help and refund me what needed. This experience won me over. Nothing worse than a mishap and people not taking accountability for it. We are regulars at Today. I grew up laundering and ironing my dad's work shirts. I can distinctly remember thinking I would marry a man you would send his shirts out, and I did. For years we use One Hour and switched to Today after OH was no longer around. The service is good. We have the occasional mishaps, but they always make things right. You can expect them to be as they say....in by 11, ready by 4. Typically, there is no hurry, but it's nice to know they are there on those rare occasions when it is a hurry. I recommend Today for your regular cleaning service. They don't go above the regular service. My husband prefers the hangers hung the opposite way, so we have to do that on our own. They are reliable and friendly, so the most important things are provided. read more

I wear a suit a lot. As a matter of fact, I have quite a bit of suits. Today I picked up my suits from the cleaners and it almost took two trips. Not because of the amount of suits I took in, but because of the amount of hanger that they use for my suits. No wonder I paid over $100 with the coupon. You're charging me for all the metal. Can I sell this back for scrap!? Jeeez it's a lot. 14 hangers. I only need 7 in my closet. Next time I'm just going to take my hangers with me when I pick up. Now I have to dispose of these. How about reducing your costs by reducing how many hangers you give me. I know, first world problems, right. Probably true. Anyway. Their service is good and their employees are typically friendly. Unfortunately, I will have to search for a new dry cleaner. 3 of my 11 items were messed up at Today Cleaners. A white button up had a dark stain, a dress had its front stitching ruined (can't be fixed), and one came out looking worn out with fuzzies (it was only worn twice). I hate to be overcharged to get my nice clothes destroyed. Their prices are too high and it's hard to find another cleaner with the monopoly they have on Bakersfield. There is nothing spectacular about this dry cleaners but they do a decent job of my hubby's shirts. He learned from me (ha!) in being thrifty and uses coupons he gets via email. Then takes his shirts in, 5 or so at a time. Nothing so far has been lost or damaged. He gets them cleaned, pressed with light starch. He likes how they ask him how much starch he wants. He also likes that once the shirts are done, he gets an e-mail for pick up. Usually they are done the next day at no extra charge! There are a few parking spots designated where you pull up, staff will run out to your car (even in the rain!), ask your name and number, take your goods, give you a ticket stub and off you go! We had switched from another cleaners that actually took our clothing and did not clean them so... so far so good here, fingers crossed. read more

We have gone here several times, each time hoping it would get better since it is close to home. Unfortunately this time will be the last. After unwrapping the clothes we brought home, we discovered a huge stain down the front of one of the dresses, black marks on the legs of a pair of pants, and the dress shirts are covered in lint. The lint and the poor ironing have been repeat issues, but destroying a dress I love is the last straw. I will never again use this place. read more

We've been using today's Cleaners for about two years now and I have to say we have really only had one problem with one associate that I don't even feel it's worth mentioning. We have used both Stockdale and the Ming locations. We go to Stockdale location the most because it's less than a mile away from where we live. My review is really based off my experience from yesterday. Well, you see I took my hubby's dry cleaning in yesterday right before 11am. I received a text message and an email that his clothes were ready around 4pm. So, we leave to go pick them up as bout an hour later. I would uh kid like to note that I never take his dry cleaning on the weekend, but it so happens this time he needed me to. So, I didn't pay attention to the time. We get there and it's about 5:13pm. They were already closed! We started freaking out! He needed his dry cleaning because he worked last night. It just so happens two of the associates were still in the store. I jumped out of the car wallet in hand and persistently knocked. One of the associates opened the door and generously allowed me to pay for his dry cleaning and take it home. Moral of my review, dont be me, pay attention, because they close early on the weekends. Thank you to the associates who were really nice! read more

I went to get a couple suits tailored and one of them I brought with me was the same suit I brought to Today Cleaners months ago (where they ruined my pants). The Tailor notices a similar hole in the suit jacket. I couldn't believe it. Perfectly good suit ruined by Today Cleaners. it's too late to dispute it now. Guess I'll just have to eat it and and pay more attention next time. No more Today Cleaners on Coffee Rd for my expensive clothing. read more

By far the greatest customer service you could ever ask for. Walked in to beautiful smiling faces, and a warm greeting. I wear white and work with food. Over time my shirts got faded to a yellow tint, brought them in and now they are brand new and look amazing. Granted I don't dry clean a lot of my clothes, & have never given them anything "tricky" but I really have no complaints because they do stick by that policy, my clothes have come back clean, and they're generally pretty friendly. It is a little more expensive that other places that I've been to out of town, and they don't have an in-shop tailor (again, like other places I've been to out of town). It'll do for now! read more

I have used many cleaners over the years and never tried Today until recently. I am very happy with the results. Every time you pull up to either deliver or pick up your clothes you are met with a friendly person,... so excellent customer service. They send an e-mail confirmation that your clothes are ready for pick up which is the same day if you dropped them before 11am. The prices are quite affordable especially in comparison to others that are near by. Very simply, they make it easy and who doesn't benefit from that. read more

The last 2 suits I've taken here have not been cleaned. The first one I didn't notice until I took the plastic off 3 days later when I went to wear it. The 2nd one I inspected before leaving and found that spots from the coffee that was spilled on it were still there. It looks like they just pressed it. I pointed it out and the Asst Manager, Misch or however she spelled it, told me that they don't guarantee spot removal. I pointed out that there was lint all over it and doesn't even look like it was cleaned. She told me all she could do was clean it again but I couldn't pick it up today because it was after 11:00. It was 11:15. She also tried to charge me $17 in which I replied that I've never paid over $14. Not that $3 is a big deal but clean it for Christ sake. Never going back to these incompetent employees ever again. Wish I could give it ZERO stars. read more

Decent cleaning. Ironing is not always crisp and perfect. Price is very expensive. I was shocked when I got the bill the first time. Dry cleaning a men's pant or shirt is $8.49 and basic washing and ironing of a dress shirt is $3.15! I was expecting $2.00 for washing and ironing of a shirt. $3.15 just seems excessive, especially for Bakersfield. read more

I regularly use this location to have my comforter cleaned. I really like that I can pull up & they will come out to my vehicle to take care of the rest. However, my most recent experience, last week, was NOT good. I picked up my comforter, took it home & put it on my bed, only to discover BLACK streaks & marks on my white comforter that were absolutely not there prior to its "cleaning". I called immediately & the managers response was they "can't guarantee removal of all spots". I told her that was irrelevant because the spots where not there prior to me dropping it off. I told her it looked like it had gotten caught in their washing machine. She agreed to "Re-Do" the comforter free of charge. Once I dropped it off, the attendant argued with me that it looked like a "pop up stain"... Because ya know stains on my white comforter can be invisible & once it's cleaned out pops black stains! After getting it back after the second cleaning the black marks are almost all gone but some very faded marks still remain. I think we will find a new place to go! read more
