This place is a family business Mindy is also terrific. I personally just go to either Anton or Mindy which is Anton's sister in law I believe. I generally like my haircuts with a taper and a one on the sides and back. Typically more of a combover type of haircut. I've consistently gone to this location time to time for haircuts for 4+ years now and the wait does tend to be long sometimes. As a result, I've tried out different barbers as I don't like waiting too long and although they each have different skill levels, I would say that I've generally enjoyed the haircuts that I've received here. Their price is only $11 for a haircut which is really cheap for the quality of haircut you're receiving as I know many barbershops are charging at least twice the amount. I was referred here by a friend of mine. The waits are usually long for highly requested barbers. My friend was waiting for a gentleman named "John." While I was waiting I was asking around the people that were waiting. They were waiting for A gentleman named "Anton," I decided to roll the dice and went for Anton and Boy did I make the best decision. His fades are on point, he communicates with you before he cuts certain areas to make sure you're pleased with his work. Not to take anything away from all the other barbers, they're all good but I was willing to wait 1 hour and a half or come in the next the following day to make sure he cuts my hair. I was recommended by coworkers to try Today Barber. I thought, $11 seems too good to be true. But hey, let's check it out. The worse case scenario I just buzz it after. I get to the shop and it seems busy already. I was told it is walk in only which I'm not used to. Luckily, I got paired with Antom as my barber. I sit down and he asks me what I wanted. I told him that I always get 2 on the sides blended and trim the top with scissors. Antom is very fast at cutting. At first I was a little worried of the end result. You know that moment where the barber is halfway through the cut and you're afraid it's going downhill from there? I was kind of feeling that at first. But then I realized Antom just does his fades and cut differently than other barbers I've been to . He ended up blending and lining up properly and even was nice enough to correct a part of my hair I saw sticking out. After the cut I can tell these guys don't mess around. Antom definitely delivered. I got compliments from people at work and even my wife. That's a win in my book. Oh and yes, it only cost me $11 plus tip. read more

Today Barber has been my go to place for haircuts for the past 3 years! They are always reliable because all of them cut hair differently, but still turn out really well! I usually get a combover, 1 on the sides, a line, and a taper. I usually go late in the day or early in the morning! Never midday from like 12-6. That is the woooorst because you'll wait for like 30-45 mins. I usually go to Anne or Ant! But I've recently liked the other guy who works there also with a manbun. They all really take the time to do your hair right and it comes out really sharp and clean, always to my liking. It's now $11 compared to the $9 two years ago, but fir that kind of haircut, I'm glad to pay that price and tip. Try to pay with Cash! I believe they take credit cards but charge a fee. This has been my go to place for a haircut for the past two years but in the current pandemic, I'm not sure if I will be continuing to go here. I should disclose that the haircuts I get here are often great with no issue (besides with the newer staff seeming to cut the top of my hair differently each time). Stick with the barbers I mention next and you'll be golden. I came in when high risk businesses were reopened in OC back in June before closing down again. There were four barbers there at the time I believe: Phillip, Anton, Kenny, and the owner. All fantastic, I'd get a haircut from any of them. There was someone doing sign ins and temperature checks, there were disposable capes, all the barbers had gloves, surgical masks AND face shields as well, on top of the dividers between chairs and spacing between each barber. It was incredibly comforting. I returned this weekend (beginning of September) to see the opposite staffing (3 different barbers, I think 2 were relatively new compared to the rest of the barbers). I thought no big deal, I need a new cut and they can all give a solid fade. I noticed that there were no temperature checks given, threw me off a bit but there weren't many customers inside so it's alright. The lady that seated me and cut my hair initially *wasn't* wearing gloves and was snide when I asked her to wear gloves. They are hand sanitising frequently (at least the barber next to us) but that still wasn't good enough for my comfort given the amount of contact for hair cuts. The tone shifted from there and I didn't feel welcome anymore. I don't think I'm asking for too much; if food service workers are held to higher standards regardless of a pandemic, I think barbers should be able to at least wear and change out gloves. I still want to come back next time when it's a bit safer. read more

Best barbershop in OC hands down! I always get a medium high skin fade with a trim on the top and I'm in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. Antom is my guy and I think he only does appointments only. His fades are always consistent. I get a cut every 10 days, but always on a weekday morning around 11 so the shop isn't usually busy at that time. The shop itself is clean and there's always a sports channel playing on their TV. I haven't gotten a haircut from anyone else there, so I can only vouch for Antom. If you're reading this Antom, you're the best! read more

Heard about this place from a buddy of mine, my RA, and a guy from the gym. 3 different sources all recommending the same place so I gave it a try.
