Unique breakfast sandwiches. We stopped by to grab a quick bite after out flight landed and before a long drive. The service was incredibly friendly, and you could tell everyone who lives in the neighborhood goes here by how the staff greeted them by name and with a smile. Ordered the Bom Dia and Tuna Melt, both were good. Sandwiches were larger than I expected! Green goddess juice was refreshing. The juice was not very cold, which I was happy with on a rainy day, but if you want it chilled make sure to ask for ice or something. The interior is very small. The toasted sandwiches here are sooo good. The glorious day flat was breakfast perfection - perfectly toasted crunch bread with gooey runny egg, bacon, and tons of cheese. It's what breakfast dreams are made of. While pricey, the portions are large - it's essentially two sandwiches so you won't be left hungry. I didn't try the coffee or smoothies but they seem to offer a nice menu of options. No inside dining though but we found a bench across the street to enjoy our sandwich. Street parking only so you may have to drive around a bit to find a parking spot that isn't residential. Couldn't really see the prices of items on the menu boards though so that was a little annoying. After dropping my love off at the airport I made my first visit at TFs for a latte and toast. It is a crime that they don't have seating. Of course if they did they would never get you to leave : ) A great, comfy, vibe. The crew were full of sunshine and the offerings looked d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!!! My choices were tasty. The toast (flat bread) is a creative twist and the mix of ingredients - spice, avocado, and "Je ne sais quoi" were mouth wateringly pleasant Be patient looking for parking. Park legally, no need to add a parking fine to your total It's not so bad if you have to walk a few blocks to get to this little jewel. Gave 14$ for a small wrap and watched them burned the bread twice so I had to wait long time and the person who's preparing it was pretty sick and kept sneezing around including the food. If I didn't pay beforehand I would just leave while watching how they prepare the sandwiches/wraps. Hygiene is below zero, and that means everything. I saw them dropping the knife to floor and just using it to cut veggies without cleaning it. Idk what else I can add but it was more than enough to see. If I didn't pay I would trash it immediately. One can order from the airport or after getting the rental car, then drive over to the store to pick up the order. We stopped in at 7AM for breakfast after we got off the flight. We ordered online and found street parking near the store. When the order was ready, one would receive a text. The store doesn't have table and chair so we ate in the car. The employees were super nice and accommodating on our order. We didn't wait for the order ready text and just stopped in. We didn't mind to wait but they hurrily prepared our order! The The turkey club is toasted I didn't know this HA despite the name of this eatery LOL I was expecting a regular cold cut sandwich/panini. The latte Is just okay, it lacked espresso flavor, I recommend coming for their toasted flats. Tip: don't order on their Yelp website menu! This is a small cafe in Eastie. It's cute and quick, the workers are all very nice. I'm it definitely feels like a part of the community which I like. The only thing I'll say is the food is just okay. These are definitely items you could make at your own house easily for a fraction of the price. But when you need a quick smoothie or sandwich on the go this is a good option. I got the traditional smoothie (I think that is what it was called) and the blt. I didn't try the smoothie bowls but those looked fantastic and would probably be harder to make yourself so probably a better option. read more

I can't say enough about the lovely people at toasted flats. The food was amazing the atmosphere was great and they saved me from my terrible coffee I bought elsewhere letting me add some much needed milk lol. I had their quinoa power bowl with bacon and avacado and it was so unbelievably good. The eggs and bacon were beyond perfect and the lemony vinegar sauce it came with was a perfect accompaniment. My buddy for an actual flat their bacon egg and cheese and it was also super tasty. Because I'm a sucker for baked goods I had to try their vanilla cake which was like a pound cake but better and so tasty. While looking at pictures of the food....everything looked really good, so I decided to try them out. I could not be more pleased. The food is fantastic and filling. Everything is made fresh. I'm relatively new to the East Boston area and I've been frustrated at the lack of healthy options in the neighborhood. Well, now I have my new favorite spot. It has that genuine, mom and pop, small cafe feel and you can tell everything is fresh. They have pita panini sandwiches (or "flats") with ingredients ranging from pulled chicken and bacon to italian cold cuts and veggies. I opted for the "Mediterranean Flat", which has pulled chicken, spinach, tomato, feta and oil/vinegar and it was absolutely delicious. They also have delicious juices/smoothies etc. as well. I'm hard-pressed to remember when I've had a better breakfast sandwich because the one I got from Toasted Flats was sooo good! I ordered the Greek breakfast flat. It came with feta cheese, eggs, spinach, tomatoes, and olive oil. The eggs were perfect, just the right amount of runny yolk. I also ordered a Toasted Oats smoothie which tasted like a peanut butter banana sandwich, very yummy. I got a chia pudding to have later for lunch and it looks like it has fresh blueberries, coconut and almonds on top. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the space is very cramped. There are no tables or chairs, and if they were super busy I can't imagine how claustrophobic it would be in there, but maybe that's typical for Boston? read more
