Got the mango passion... they left date chunks in the bottom that couldn't fit through the star. Flavor was pretty good, not a lot of passion fruit. Size was much smaller than I expected given the price, they left just about a half inch of extra space at the top which I was not happy about. Ambience looks like some health nut food store. Nothing looks appetizing, think more Amazon in real life. Everything is wrapped to the brim in plastic and packaging. They do have smoothies to go and there is a nice seating area outside for the public. Service is pretty fast. Having a shake here can sub for a lunch meal! I actually came here after lunch so now my smoothie is hanging out in the fridge until I am hungry again. I ordered 2 smoothies via the app; though not all the smoothies i saw on the full menu were available to order on the app (couldn't find the blue one). It quoted me that it'll be ready in 4 mins..so off I go and it was ready in the 4 mins quoted! There were a few people ordering at the actual store, I still had to wait in line to tell them I ordered online and the cashier was very nice and knew who ordered online as I may be the only one at the moment. There was also another girl making the smoothies. The fresh made almond milk is very different- make it thicker and leaves you feeling fuller! I got the clean green and the bf got the strawberry banana. Total cost was $19. No reward system unless you want to shell out $100 to buy a membership that will give you $10 for every $100 spent. If you buy more than 10 smoothies a year..that may be worth it, but I don't see myself doing that. read more

Green Mint Protein smoothies that taste like mint chocolate chip ice cream but only have 330 calories and have all of the daily green goodness?!? What's not to love!! The place is pricey, but they do have some pretty tasty items. I work in the building and slowly overtime have tried much of their menu. The best smoothie is the $&"@ing Genius Blueberry. The Acai Blueberry Bowl is great; it is much better than the Blue Magic Protein Bowl. Their soups are pretty hit or miss, but you can get samples. The dehydrated almonds are good and so are the dried mango pieces. The overnight oats are ok. I prefer the Acai over the Blueberry and chocolate. The little Mexican Quinoa Dish in the case is also pretty good. I was craving a healthy juice right after Soul Cycle (ended at 7:15am on a Thursday morning) and there was a Juice Press conveniently located next door. These juices are on the pricier side ranging from $9-12 but emphasizing the freshness and quality of the ingredients like the almond milk that is made in house daily. There were about 3 people waiting before me, but somehow I ended up waiting 20 minutes. Granted, there were some people that came in to get pick up (they have an app), some chose to get the premade juices, but it still should not have taken that long. Additionally, I was watching the lady making my smoothie and what took her so long was when she filled up the cup it only filled up halfway. Instead of making more, she kept hitting the blender to make all of it come up, but either way it wasn't filled to the top which was kind of annoying. I just had one of the nastiest interactions with the worker at this location. I'm positive i didn't instigate, as I walked up to the counter she had a scowl on her face and was rude taking my order. I'm not sure how I got suckered into The Juice Press. As a graduate student, I have an aversion to sipping any liquid that is neither coffee nor beer. As a human, I have an aversion to ingesting things that are not food. The following are not food: 1) Kale is not a food. It is a tough, green piece of textured cardboard masquerading as a food. Because of this fact, I have, for the last several years, rebelled against all things kale. Humans don't have the stomach enzymes to digest cellulose, so it's completely baffling to me as to how this fuzzy vegetable that looks and tastes like a solid sheet of stale mold has generated a cavalcade of millennials and Gen X-ers. 2) Hemp is not a food. It is a rope. Or inchoate marijuana. But a food it is not. Humans are not meant to eat rope. 3) Maple water is also not a food, or a beverage for that matter. It is the liquefied souls of vegan, biking hipsters. I am not a cannibal. I do not enjoy hipsters. Why, then, would I enjoy slurping the souls of men with Weezer glasses and beards the length of John Brown's who fancy themselves contemporaries of Oasis? ... But somehow, when you blend these three not foods together with the luscious juiciness of a tart green apple, the nasal clearing, palate cleansing, power of a ginger root, the sweetness of a few dates (which, as we all know, were created by Nabisco because they're really just candy pretending to be a "fruit"), and a few other ingredients, you have before you a horrifyingly delicious elixir of life called Nurse Ginger Green, who, unlike Nurse Nightingale, reinvigorates her patients with a vitality previously unbeknownst to them. read more

I love a good juice! I went to Juice Press after a workout class next door and it was just what I needed. I got the Blue Magic, because honestly I've never had a blue smoothie and it looked fun. It had so much protein and was so filling I didn't need dinner after. The inside is clean and has seating, there is also seating outside. Legitimately the slowest service ever. 3 staff members, maybe about 1/2 of a human actually doing anything. Outrageously overpriced as well. Waited more than 25 mins for a disgusting, half full açaí bowl with maximum 4 other patrons in and out of the shop. The açaí bowl itself was so poorly blended there was still full chunks of rock solid frozen açaí. And to top it off, paid extra for banana on top and the joke that is the staff puts frozen brown bananas on top without telling you "that's all they have" when you order.
