Mom's was always my go-to when I needed a little bit of 10 different spices for cooking/baking, and finding bulk spices is an amazing thing! While I couldn't think of what spices I might need for anything coming up, I knew I needed some pecans and they have those by the pound as well. I filled a bag with what I needed and had a great conversation at the register with Ben, who moved up here from the Philadelphia area (where he worked for the company). Friendly guy and easy to see why the company would want him here (sorry, Philly!!). The store is very bright, cheerful and spotless - everything a grocery store should be, but often is not. Lots of parking right out front and on the eastbound side of Route 9.

Whole Foods in South End/Ink Block is probably one of my favorite locations to go to!…read moreI love that they have a (free) LARGE parking lot. This is unlike the one on Cambridge St by MGH, as that one is a paid parking lot. Now, the reason why I love this location so much is simply because it is humongous! Seriously. I could spend hours at this Whole Foods and not get tired at all. Bakery section, deli, hot foods, liquor... amazing. Also, very organized in here and never had a bad experience shopping here. Produce is always very fresh and remember to always check what deals they're having. Pricier market but they do have sales. Love, love, LOVE the cakes! Especially the berry chantilly! Their cakes are not too sweet and very moist.

Their vegan fast food station leaves me with stomach aches, but other than that it's decent. Do not get the falafel at the hot bar. It's dry and hard as a rock, it looks like it hasn't been cooked through. Sushi is actually very expensive at 9 or 10$ for the vegetable rolls. Why wouldn't I go to an actual restaurant and get it there? I wonder. I wish this Whole Foods had good fresh pizza like the one in Beverly. Oh wait. That one is sinking into the ground because they built it on top of a marsh....

Their offerings of teas, healthy snacks and sourdough bread are very impressive, much more than Whole Foods. Good customer service, they called in more cashiers when needed. This store is small but it is densely packed with a lot of organic options. Very clean and organized. They have a lot of unique products that can't be found in other grocery stores. The layout of the store is stratigically like a maze that would take you through the entire store leading to the cashier. The produce section is small. They tend to have a lot of clean organic food, which I love. I truly believe in their organic philosophy on their website. There are way too many nasty chemicals in foods these days. It is nice that Mom's organics exist. My only complaint is the price. I'm my opinion, they are overpriced. Look at the price of the coconut water in my picture. Compare it to Costco or Amazon and you can see the difference, even at this store's "sales" price. Overall, this is a much needed store but if it remains expensive, I don't think it will replace Wegmans nor whole food. Wegmans still give better value for $ on their organic foods.
