Even though it is winter in the middle of a pandemic, this place had a line outside the door. And I found out it is worth the wait. We stopped by on Friday and had to stand in line to place our order and then take a number and wait on our order to be prepared. The employees were so kind you didn't even mind the wait. Plus, you get a show! The kitchen is open, so you can see them making the ice cream rolls and the fun shakes that they offer. It isn't just a gimmick either, everything tastes wonderful! We had a brownie sundae, a mint chocolate chip rolled ice cream and a S'mores rolled ice cream. The clear winner was the brownie sundae with a homemade brownie, served warm to make the ice cream melty. Oh my. The rolled ice cream is so creamy you can actually taste the buttery flavor and slickness on the roof of your mouth. I can only imagine how wrapped up this place would be in the summer. Not worth it when over charged and they will not correct it and when order wrong 3 times and they will not fix it. Instead told us not their problem . I was so disappointed! We had driven an hour and thought this would be a treat, it wasn't. Very disappointed. When did it become acceptable to over charge and not correct ??? Or not give what a customer ordered and paid (more) for?? And no one wanted to fix it. CookOut milkshakes are much better and reasonably priced and where we will go for now on. I wish the management would have stepped up and assisted us. read more

We went on a Wednesday night around 7:20 and there were not a lot of people in line. It does take a few minutes for them to make your specialty, hand-rolled ice cream, but the wait is worthwhile. Watching your ice cream cremation being made is also mesmerizing, so just relax and enjoy the experience. This place is so cool because you can taste each flavor of your creation so well. This place is amazing!!! I tell everyone I can about how awesome the food, service and atmosphere is! I was extremely impressed with the safeguards in place during COVID. There were stickers on the floor to ensure social distancing and the employees wore masks and were extremely courteous. Anytime we come through Morganton, we stop in and get something! I'm not sure why there aren't many reviews of this place. I looked it up and was skeptical about coming, but my husband and I decided to stop by anyways and we were not disappointed. We walked up to a long line and were surprised to see all the yummy combinations of rolled ice cream they had. While we waited in line we even saw the baked goods they had! Patience is required. Ice cream is pretty good but I'm not sure it's worth the wait or price. It is good though. And it's kind of fun to watch it made - just loses its fun after like ten minutes. We waited more than 25 for ours. If you want lighter ice cream - not super rich heavy ice cream, then this is definitely the place to get that. Definitely go here. It's cool. And fun. They also have a bakery serving Mr. Bob's Doughnuts, cakes, and pastries. The process to order and receive ice cream, however is broken. It is 4:10 now. There are 15 people in line. I have been waiting 25 minutes in line and still not to the counter. 6 associates are working behind.
