I loved the section offering unique hand crafted bowls, boxes and other tableware. Some appeared to be from local artisans. It's a great little shop to visit when you are in the area.

I ordered a milkshake, and when I received it, it was basically chocolate milk...very thin and lacking the thick, creamy consistency you'd expect from a milkshake. To make matters worse, I had to have it remade because the wrong ice cream was used the first time. I also noticed that the employee preparing my milkshake wasn't wearing gloves either time it was made, which was concerning from a food-handling standpoint. The service overall wasn't very friendly or attentive, and it just wasn't the level of service I've come to expect from this location. The one positive thing I can say is that the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. I've come here multiple times and have never had an experience this bad before. I'm hoping this was just an off day because I've enjoyed my previous visits, but this visit was definitely disappointing.

It is my absolute favorite place to get ice cream and their milk is top-tier. Every time I go, I take a cooler to bring chocolate milk home with me and whole milk home for family. Even if you don't live in the immediate area, this could be a fun little outing for a date or family. Since I have been coming to Riverbend, they have updated and added playground equipment, so kids can play and watch the cows in the pasture. You can either sit on the porch and watch the cows from there or go down to their seating area by the playground. There's also plenty of seating indoors if it's just too hot or the weather isn't great. Staff are kind and attentive and I never have to wait long.
