MIND YOUR OWN BISCUITS & GRAVY with a side of life size mimosa (not that scary looking right??)
Flora A.

Went here last weekend to celebrate my friend's birthday with a group of 8 (plus a toddler!) the day before Mother's Day, so we already expected a wait. We called ahead and were quoted about an hour, but ended up waiting closer to 2 hours after checking in. Honestly though, with the holiday weekend and our big group, we understood. While waiting outside, they had Jenga and Connect 4 set up, which was a nice touch and definitely helped pass the time. The restaurant itself had a lively brunch atmosphere and was clearly packed all morning. Once we got seated, our server Ryan took care of us right away. She got our drinks and food orders in quickly, and honestly the turnaround time for everything was surprisingly fast considering how busy it was. Ryan was super fun, attentive, and really matched the energy of our group. She even brought out a little birthday treat for my friend, which was sweet! My friend and I both ordered the "life size" mimosas -- which isn't shocking because of the glass size, but because it's basically a whole bottle of champagne LOL. Huge shoutout to Ryan for recommending the freshly squeezed orange juice because it balanced everything perfectly and wasn't overly sweet at all. I ordered the Mind Your Own Biscuits & Gravy. Solid, classic brunch dish, and the hash browns had an amazing crunch to them. Overall, pretty standard brunch food, but the great service from Ryan really made the experience enjoyable!

Mimosa Flight

My experience at Toast was a great one. I made a last-minute reservation for a large party, and the hostess worked with me to secure a reservation close to the time we originally wanted and get us seated in a timely manner. They did seat us separately, which wasn't what we would have preferred; however, we understand that the reservation was made last minute and we were also on a time crunch, so getting seated quickly was a priority. I know it's not easy accommodating a large group, especially on a busy day, and given our time constraints, I was initially nervous about whether we would be seated and served on time. However, the staff was organized, patient, and friendly throughout, and everything ran smoothly. Despite how busy it was, we received our food promptly, and everything came out well-presented and delicious. The chilaquiles were especially flavorful, and the egg omelet and potatoes were also excellent. Our group also ordered the Korean ribs, which were very tasty, and the French toast as well! For drinks, our group wasn't a big fan of the iced coffee, and the mimosa flights were a bit too sweet for my personal preference. I only really enjoyed two out of the four options. That said, they were beautifully presented and very photogenic. One thing we really appreciated was that they accommodated separate checks for such a large group, which made paying much more convenient. The space offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It is on the smaller side, but they still managed to accommodate our group comfortably. Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I'd definitely consider returning.

NEW YORK STEAK & EGGS

We had a pleasant breakfast this morning at Toast. The cookies and cream cold brew was very sweet and chocolatey for the chocolate lovers. So good. The steak and eggs were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I don't think there's anything you could try on the menu that wouldn't be delicious. It's a great place to come and have a nice breakfast. We will be back!

While in town, I wanted to try this spot for brunch with family and compare to the location or version of it that we have in NY. It didn't disappoint. The menu wasn't overwhelming but had more than enough choices. I probably had the best shrimp and grits in my life so far here. It's a must have if you like shrimp and grits. They have indoor and patio seating which is nice and service was really good even though they were busy for a weekday brunch meal. I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the Temecula area.

Saturday, 6-07-2025: This review is so overdue! This eatery isn't very big but they did have outdoor seating in their spacious side patio. It's a very casual and relaxing ambiance. We had a big group and I was grateful they could accommodate all of us. Of course, I made reservations. This was a nice meet up with our dear family & friends. I do recall we all enjoyed the food and truly appreciated the attentive and absolute care that two servers gave to our large party. We would definitely return. We were impressed with their food and customer service.

CRAB CAKE BENEDICT
Brielle O.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I decided to try out the cinnamon maple toast latte, and it was good but not something I would get again. I also got the crabcake Benedict, which I just don't think that was a good pick for me because the crabcake was very mushy. My boyfriend got the toast burger and he seemed to like it a lot. There was just a lot of onions so he removed them off. I would like to try some other things on the menu, but overall the ambience was very nice sitting outside. The weather was great as well as our server was very friendly and fast as well.

I've been wanting to try this place for a few months now and we were finally able to make it in today. No wait time which was great of course even though they were steadily busy. I bet this place gets insanely busy on the weekends, but it looks like there is the option to join via the Yelp waitlist & I love that. Inside is cute, I really like the booths and their design. There is a one stall restroom for everyone to use, but it was kept pretty tidy so that was great to see. Our food was pretty good, I love corned beef so the Reuben Benedict was perfect, one of us got hash browns and the other go the pecorino potatoes. The pecorino potatoes were good, I think they needed salt in my opinion and they would have been perfect. The portion size was pretty big. I am a big eater and I struggled to finish my food. The crème brûlée french toast was good too. I wasn't a huge fan of the custard in the middle though, there was a lot of it and it was just a bit thick in my opinion. The bread and the syrup with the fresh strawberry were delicious though. I'm excited to come back again and try more menu items. Highly recommend this spot for a brunch outing.

Fried chicken with biscuits and gravy

Great breakfast spot. We secured our place in line through their online booking system, nice and easy. Arrived around 10:30 am and it was very crowded, but we had our reservation so we only waited 10 minutes. They have indoor and fully covered outdoor seating. Nice shaded benches for these waiting. Parking wasn't hard to find. A lot of families and people with celebrations making this place an energetic atmosphere. The food and drinks were very delicious. My sister had the chilaquilles and I had the fried chicken yum! The biscuits that came with the fried chicken looked home made and we awesome, so we're the potatoes and gravy.

Came here twice within the matter of a week because it was so good and worth the drive from San Diego. They had the place decorated so cute for Christmas, i hope they do it again next year. Service was awesome too and they had a lot of neat items on the menu. When we are in Temecula this is now our go-to place for brekkie! We Toast!

To-Go Bacon Benedict and hashbrowns

This place is delicious. Highly recommend. I had looked at an old review which mentioned a corned beef Benedict which I was disappointed not to see on the menu. They had a Rueben one but wasn't what I was craving. So I decided on the corned beef skillet and asked for a side of classic hollandaise. Let me tell you, this was EVERYTHING. By the time my husband was home with the food, the pecorino potatoes weren't crispy but that's what you risk with take out. I can't wait to eat at the restaurant and experience it fresh. My husband loved his bacon Benedict too. Pro tip, if you order online go to the actual ordering menu to see what they have. It's more expansive than the menu they have linked on their website. I wanted to remove a star because I was hoping to be able to place an order over the phone and no one ever answered. My husband however said it was super super busy when he arrived to pick up our food. But the easy online ordering and attention to the special requests gave that star right back! I can't wait to eat here in person.

SMOKED VEGGIE BENEDICT
Brian M.

We were sat quickly, and our server was great. Friendly and helpful service is always a plus. Place is hip, I love the raised booths along the sides of the restaurant, too bad we didn't sit there. Now for the star of the show, the food. What we had: Her: Smoked Veggie Benedict Me: Breakfast Burrito Us: Apple Pie French Toast Food was delicious, fresh and cooked properly. Wife liked her meal but wasn't a fan of the "smoky" flavor of the veggies, apparently when they say smoked they mean it. My burrito tasted great, but a little dry (could have used a little more cheese and a little less cook for the eggs, but still very good. Great spot for a quick brunch!

Christmas decor throughout restaurant!

Toast is the perfect brunch spot, especially during the holidays. From the moment you walk in, the festive decorations sets such a cozy, cheerful tone -it genuinely feels warm and inviting without being over the top. Such a fun place to brunch this time of year. I had the pancakes with fresh strawberries and they were delicious- fluffy, perfectly cooked, and not overly sweet. I also ordered the mimosa flight, which was so fun and perfect for brunch. Each mimosa was refreshing and well balanced, making it a great way to sample different flavors. My husband ordered the burrito and loved it, portions and flavor were great without being too heavy. It does get very busy, especially on weekends, so expect longer wait times. I highly recommend joining the waitlist via Yelp at least 30 minutes ahead of time. Parking is a bit limited as well, so plan accordingly. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made us want to take our time and enjoy the experience. If you're in Temecula during the holidays (or anytime, really), Toast is a must for brunch!

We had breakfast here as part of my birthday weekend with my sisters and it was such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were honestly the best I've had... so flavorful and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, which made it even more special for us. A big shoutout to David, our server, who was amazing. Super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. He really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend this place if you're in Temecula. We'll definitely be back!

The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it.

Then, we ordered the Caesar Brussel Sprouts, the 1909 Burger, the Cilantro Lime Fish Tacos, and a couple more cocktails along the way. Everything was absolutely delicious! The floors were noticeably messy, some might even say gross. There were random spills that clearly had not been wiped up, and even the bathrooms were bad. Should we really be able to see a plunger and a dirty toilet brush while washing our hands? Service-wise, our waitress was nice, but overall it was slow. We waited a long time for our first round of drinks, and when the food finally came out, it was not even hot, which made it even more frustrating. The food itself did not live up to the price. The "tempura" artichoke hearts were basically just heavily breaded and fried, not light or crispy like you would expect or like the menu suggests. The charcuterie board, which was over $50, was kind of shocking. It looked like a random mix of deli meats, basic cheeses, canned fruit, and filler. Nothing felt special or worth the price. It looks amazing, but do not be fooled by what you see around you. You are better off spending $25 at Trader Joe's. The ribeye was wildly underwhelming. If I wanted a steak I could buy at Food 4 Less and grill in the park, I would do it myself. The chicken somehow managed to be even worse, dry and lacking flavor. Lemon and capers, where? Overall, it felt overpriced and poorly executed. Between the cleanliness issues, the long wait, and the disappointing food, it is easy to say it is definitely not worth your time. Check out the Gambling Cowboy instead. This is a no brainer when you read the replies from the owner to any negative feedback. If an establishment feels the need to defend itself in such an unprofessional manner, that tells you everything you need to know about taking your money elsewhere. No ownership, just blame.
