one of my favorite breakfast spots in the area. toast has such a fun menu of food & coffee drinks, I have a hard time deciding every time I go! the restaurant vibe is 70s retro. Have to give this place another well deserved 5 star rating review! Toast Cedarburg is a true foodie experience. I love how their menu changes with every season, giving us both unique options no other restaurants in the area offer and eccentric twists on classics . You really have to stop in every couple weeks or so to try everything! My most recent stop was for a lunch date with hubby. I had an iced latte & the cowboy brunch burger (beef patty with bacon, fried egg, crispy onions, ppj cheese & bbq sauce) and he ordered the down home biscuits & gravy. Both dishes were cooked and seasoned well, a symphony of flavors --just phenomenally made. You can tell the kitchen staff puts love and care into every meal here. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and a total sweetheart. She was very personable and pleasant, adding to this delightful lunch experience from start to finish. Excellent experience, took my son for a special breakfast. Approaching Toast, my heart sank. The parking lot seemed full; I opened the door, and presto, we were greeted and shown the best table in the house! It only got better, the server brought our donuts fresh and hot from the kitchen, Kona coffee in amazing double serving mugs... everything looked as if it had come for me. Our waiter Dave made my day. First he got me real cream for my coffee. Then I substituted a take home pancake for potatoes and toast. I didn't want the carbs and the pancake was for my dogs. He brought the to go bag and stapled it closed so I would not get into it. What a guy!!! read more

This place is the definition of quirky-Very 70's disco kitsch. While the portions were large and the prices reasonable, service was a tad slow even though the weren't super busy. We all had lunch plates, but the pancakes we saw coming out looked amazing. They had Coke products!! Thank the sweet lord of caffeinated beverages. However, we all thought our pops were flat. We mentioned it and they said they checked the machine but didn't see anything wrong with the CO filter. Instead they refunded out Cokes. This is a very nice little spot! Definitely a popular one as well. Lots of 80's style decor. I ordered the wild mushroom omelette and it was very delicious. I've loved the Toast location in Milwaukee and decided to try this one with my family. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and chorizo skillet. Both were delicious as usual. My family all enjoyed their food too. It was my uncles birthday so they gave us fresh hot donuts on the house which was so nice. On top of that the staff were friendly the entire time. I love how this location kept the groovy 60's/70's theme as well, it make the atmosphere super fun. The only negative thing was the water tasted funky but that could be the local water. read more

Interesting decor and music choice. Wheelchair access was tricky. Kinda far away to drive. Left home at 11:30am and got back at 2:30pm. Felt like Gilligans Island "a 3 hour tour"! We went to Toast in Cedarburg over the weekend. The atmosphere was nice. We arrived about an hour after they opened. The tables weren't full yet but there were plenty of patrons. I assumed it would be busy so I went online prior to make a reservation and was unable to. I tried to join the waitlist and was also unable to. The website didn't work. I assumed it meant there was no need to join a list as in they didn't have a big wait. The hostess told me the lower level was for reservations. Hmm. I tried to make one and couldn't. The hostess first mixed me up with the people in front of us and assumed we were in the same party. When I told her I had 4 adults, 1 child, and 2 toddlers who would need high chairs she said ok and brought me to a table with 4 chairs. I actually thought she couldn't hear me because she kept suggesting that we sit somewhere where we would not all fit. She ultimately sat us right by the front door, squeezing us into a booth. Since the high chairs couldn't be pushed up to the table there was a 6 inch gap where the toddlers were throwing the food on the floor. Also there is no changing table in the bathrooms. Not a (young) child friendly place by any means. My husband tried to order the sausage sliders on Hawaiian rolls. They were out. It was only an hour after they opened. He even told the waitress that's why we came. The food was pretty good but the hostess could use training. My vanilla latte was great. Our waitress was overly friendly and pleasant. Considering I have 3 small children and it definitely is not a family friendly place, I wouldn't go back. read more

The menu is small, but has a good variety of breakfast, lunch, and brunch items. I went with Gordo's Classic - eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. The bacon was delicious as was the breakfast potatoes. The eggs were pretty standard though, nothing that really wowed me. I also choose the sourdough bread for my toast and that I enjoyed as well. My boyfriend tried the Overstuffed Croissant and said it was really good. He went with the hash browns and like how crispy they were. We both agreed we'll be back to try more items. We decided to take my mother out for breakfast fir her 73rd Birthday. Family friendly and kid friendly. Service was quick and our waitress was great ,fast and knowledgeable of the menu. She over heard us speaking about my moms Birthday being that day so she came out with a special treat for her as she sang Happy Birthday Song to her it was amazing. We ordered our food and coffee as we waited the waitress made sure our coffee was topped off each time we were at a half of cup. Our order came quickly but was lukewarm instead of hot. But it was fine we enjoyed our meals anyway. The food portions were nice for the price. The manager came and spoke to us which was awesome. I give it a 9 out of 10. read more

Hubs and I went for breakfast today; he had the ultimate omelette with crispy hash browns and I had the breakfast burger. Both were excellent and I'd say the burger is the best thing on the menu. The burger had a patty, fried egg, bacon, crispy jalapeños, cheese. Soooooo good, but I could only eat half. We sat in the front bar and therefore did not have to wait for a table. Thought we would try it as we like to try new places. Only open till 3 and we got there around 2, probably why not to many customers. The place is clean, that's always a plus. Service was great, waitress was friendly and able to answer my questions. Food was good but a bit expensive. Think that is just a sign of the times but $14 for a waffle and chicken strips is still rather high. one other thing that turned us off, the music was so load we had trouble even taking to each other. One other thing, the tables are too high for the booths, my wife is 5' 2" and had to reach up to eat. Will be go back? Three of us arrived for a Sunday breakfast. We ordered Eggs Benedict, eggs poached hard, and the two girls split an order of chocolate chip pancakes. When the Benedict came, it was covered in a gray something that didn't even closely resemble Hollandaise, and the yolks were not only runny, but still cold. The English muffin and Canadian Bacon were both so hard they could not be cut with the knife. The butter and syrup, when it finally came in paper cups, were both frozen solid. When we finally got the attention of our waitress, no small feat, she shrugged it off and made no attempt to rectify the situation. During the time we were seated, the entire wait staff was off in a corner, laughing and talking, all of their backs to the room! Will we be back? Not during this century. read more

A funky, 70's themed place with great food and really nice people! We had brunch late on a Sunday and our server (Jake) was very pleasant and attentive. My husband ordered the mushroom omelet and declared it superb---and it was enormous! My California Benedict was also quite tasty, although the muffin got a bit soggy from the spinach and tomatoes. Go for the breakfast potatoes instead of the other potato choices, since they're terrific. Bloody Mary was refreshing, spiced just right. Generous pours of Prosecco. Sunday's brunch was an unfortunate experience. Started off by waiting more than 40 minutes past our reservation time for a group of 10. Waitress was asked if separate bills were available. Yes. Order was taken. 15 minutes later she returned to review and take our orders again. A few orders were wrong. When checks came, many were overcharged, up charged with no explanation or choice at time of ordering. When asked to make corrections it was problematic. Just prior to leaving the restaurant, a comment was made by their bartender that was derogatory. Asking if I was planning on beating someone up today. Apparently our apparel was judged.
