My friend who had known that I was looking for someone since my favorite hair dresser moved out of LA used to do it for me, I was now without it. :( The last when I got my hair relaxed was in the Dominican Republic. Sabrina Murillo has done my hair for the past 6 years & there's a reason I still come back.... All these colors are over the course of 1 year. Before this she did it RED. That top left picture is after ONE session of going from bright red back to blonde. See the process? That took another 2 sessions to go to bright blonde. Hair does not go from red or black or even brown to 0 brass in 2 hours or for $100. FYI her IG does not lie. Those are all real people, and unedited. I've seen a good deal of them over the years walking out of the salons stoked on life and their hair. If you tell her you want something, she'll tell you what is realistically going to happen. If you want something that is going to make you look insane because you want warm colored hair even though you should be rocking some cool tones, she's GOING TO TRY TO STEER YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I have been getting massages from Tony Moore for the past few months and am extremely pleased and would never think of going to anyone else! I highly recommend Tony for a thorough full body massage. If you have a problem spot, he will work a little longer on that area and is amazing at working out the kinks. His Zen like attitude and chill vibes keep me coming back. I have been to many other massage therapists and come out feeling sore, but Tony's pressure is perfect and I leave after 90+ minutes feeling relaxed & rejuvenated. Wish I could hire him once a week! I contacted Kate on several occasions both by voicemail and text to schedule a haircut and style for my teen daughter. You would assume a professional stylist would respond fairly quickly to a potential new client. Instead, Kate responded a week later both times. I told her that her week response time was very unprofessional and a poor reflection of her work. She said I was being childish. If you're looking for a stylist who actually gets back to you in a reasonable timeframe, Kate would NOT be your "go to" gal. Keep looking! (For the record, I do not like leaving negative reviews on someone's livelihood, but the way Kate handled this situation was completely unprofessional and reflected poorly on her business, education, and customer service skills). read more

I am dumbfounded at why I got treated the way I did by Morgan and her friend. It truly hurts my feelings. I have always gone through life to be nice and treat others with respect. As a woman in her 40's I have never felt so disrespected in all my life by a hair person. I only went once and even then to get a response was hard. Morgan did a good job and I wanted to go back but she completely ignored my texts I tried writing her twice. Months later my daughter tried to text her to see if she would respond so I could get my hair done we both left nothing but nice messages and we both got straight up ignored. So rude to just ignore someone. It's very easy to be respectful to others and give them a response. I did absolutely nothing wrong to deserve this. Think long and hard before you lease a studio here. One of the owners is named Donna and she is delightful. The other owner, Becki, is another story. I just left here because she is so abrasive and bossy. She told me it would be almost three weeks to fix the broken AC in the middle of the summer. I just moved my clients for three weeks because I'm really heat sensitive. The AC was fixed two weeks early and she didn't even bother to notify me even though she knew I moved over a dozen clients because of the heat. During the whole process every interaction I had with her was abrasive, rude and dismissive of my concerns. Before I even signed my lease I told them of my prior experiences with salons suites who leave things unfixed for weeks and weeks. She told me that I could just put a portable ac in the room , but the suites here are the smallest I've been in and I had to leave some of my equipment at home, so I'm not sure where I would put the portable ac since I already bump into the equipment I have because of the lack of space. The rent here is almost the exact same amount I paid for a suite on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, but that studio was at least 40% larger than this one is and in a prime area. Now she is threatening to sue me for 14,000$ since I had to terminate my lease because of her withholding info about the ac being fixed already and her horribly abrasive and dismissive texts about the broken ac. There is very little walk in traffic because the salon is in a sleepy town like Thousand Oaks so you will need to advertise to get new clientele. I've been at four salon suites over the last 12 years and each had an automatic lock after 5 for the safety of the staff. Not this place. They have a panic button in the bathroom that's supposed to lock you in to the bathroom but the door is made of easily breakable glass. Go figure on that one. I left a little tiny fan on one time and she had to scold me about it the next day even though their ac is so horribly balanced and bleeding energy. One room will be 65 degrees and the very next room will be 75 degrees. The esthetician have to constantly close the door to their area because she refuses to honor their request to put a door closing hydraulic to limit the extreme noise. The door has huge gaps that just allow noise to permeate your spa space. The room next to mine has huge windows and she refuses to let them close them when it's 100 degrees outside and the room gets terribly hot, because she wants light in the hall when she opens in the morning. She could just get a dang night light if that's the case and be more accommodating of the hot stylist, but she's not accommodating at all. Donna is lovely but she's a bit of a doormat and let's Becky dominate the situation. The parking fills up and it can be sometimes hard to find a parking space where you won't get towed. Think about it before you sign that lease, because Becky thinks the lease is there to protect her right to do nothing and be unpleasant personally. read more

Samantha Brad is terrible, and I felt compelled to share my experience so that others are warned! I had called Samantha to schedule a appointment on the phone for full highlights, and we talked about the possibility of doing partial highlights with the Groupon price she offers. She texted me the the time of the appointment a day before. When I told her that I wanted to do partial highlights after all, she quoted me a much higher price that the Groupon. When I asked about the reason she completely ignored my question and claimed that she can't offer Groupon for returning clients. I told her over 3 times that I am a new client but she just ignored me and kept on stating the new price. I even asked her to give me the date that she thinks I had my original appointment at, and that she could have me confused with someone else. It's totally didn't matter what I said. I have been looking for a hair stylist to get my hair to an extreme light blonde for about a year (maybe even a year and a half). I have tried multiple new hair stylists but no one seemed to get it right. I found Sabrina on Instagram and was blown away by her work! When i texted her for an appointment she got back to me very quickly and booked an appointment for me without a problem. When I got my hair done by her I was SO HAPPY!!! FINALLY SOMEONE GAVE ME THE HAIR STYLE I HAVE WANTED FOR SO LONG!! When i went to school the night I got my hair done 5 different people complimented me (one person even asked if they could touch my hair lol) and the next day at work EVERYONE said they loved my hair and asked who did it. Sabrina Murillo was recommended to me when I was searching for a new stylist. I've been going to her for about 10 months and I've never been happier with my hair! When I first went to visit her, she colored my hair a dark auburn color from a 6 month grown out balayage from a previous stylist. I left the salon happier than I'd been with both my hair and a stylist in years. Since then, Sabrina has dealt with my crazy impulses to go blonde again and I've fallen in love with blonde hair again. Within 3 sessions of going blonde (from RED!) she's managed to get me a beautiful blonde color that I'm obsessed with and eliminate any of the red from the previous two sessions of coloring it red. Sabrina manages to make the salon friendly and welcoming for everyone, no matter if you know the other girls who are there or not. I am still in disbelief on the type of service I was given... I wasn't going to say anything but I can't stand by and let someone else experience what I have. I purchased a Groupon for a partial highlight and haircut by Samantha Bard. I texted her to schedule my appointment and we agreed on May 2nd at 1pm. I scheduled this appointment 2 WEEKS in advance. The day is May 2nd and I arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment, I check in, I sat and waited for her. It was 1 and I was still waiting. There was a stylist walking in and out of the waiting area the whole time and she never bothered to ask who I was waiting for. The time was almost 1:30 and someone finally approached me and asked who I was waiting for.. I tell her "Samantha Bard" and she goes "oh that's me". So finally we go into her suite and situated myself. We start talking and then all of a sudden she asks me for my name. I give her my name. She then looks at her scheduling book and she tells me "I don't have you in my schedule.. I'm sorry but I have someone else scheduled coming right now you'll need to reschedule." I was... shocked. I told her I had scheduled this a couple weeks ago AND I took time off of work for this appointment!! All she said was "Sorry I just don't have time to do your hair right now." She didn't even TRY to accommodate me at a later time the same day or get me in on the weekend when I don't have to beg for time off of work (which was what I had to do) I was as cool as ice about it when I shouldn't have. I felt discriminated against because I was a Groupon. I hope no one ever receives this kind of disrespect. read more
