I came here to be rescued. My longtime stylist bailed on me for the last time before a trip so when I returned, I tried someone new out of necessity and desperation. New person completely fried my hair. It was pretty devastating and I knew I couldn't go back to my original girl so I changed it up and tried Daniella at Cie Salon after seeing her blondes on instagram. She's been taking great care of my hair since the beginning of this year (2024). We started with Milbon fine hair treatment. She turned me onto K 18 and she does offer olaPlex thank God. Between those three additions, her talented hands, and a daily dose of hydrolyzed collagen in my coffee (hydrolyzed is key!) my hair is slowly improving and Daniella is ensuring the color stays dynamic and vibrant without sacrificing the condition of my hair. While I'm still taking a lot of vitamins to keep my hair in optimal condition, Daniella is the real secret behind it. Daniella is a professional and true artist and colorist. I can count on her to be gentle with my baby fine strands and send me confidently out the door after the end of my appointment. The location is perfect as well because who doesn't adore the country mart? Plenty of free parking and you can order from Lucky's next door while at your appointment to help pass the time. The owner is rude, she would complain the entire time while doing your hair and she steals clients away from her staff. I watch her while she was doing my hair stop to talk to walk ins and tell them she will help them in a certain time to come back or wait instead of giving one of the other stylists in the shop the client. The person who did my hair was very sweet and she had great customer service however she went a little bleach Crazy. I asked for highlights and I got my hair bleached practically. It's so embarrassing. The first day leaving the solan of course it didn't look too bad but after a couple days i realized it was bad but not terrible.. then i realized how much she actually bleached. Not only that it's splotchy. She saw the front pieces of my hair splotchy and tried to fix it but ultimately left it and put toner over. I didn't expect a perfect job. Heather has been doing my hair for 15 years now. I followed her from Beverly Hills. I did hair and owned my own salon back in the day. I have never been able to find someone who knows color like she does. I have brown hair with carmel highlights. First time I went to her she did exactly what I wanted. The tone is always right and the condition of my hair has never been better. I highly recommend Heather if your looking for someone that knows color like nobody else. I just want to inform you guys that I'm very disappointed with how my hair was treated. I have very fine hair that can't be treated like other hair. I left with damage I never came in with in the form of breakage from my hair stylist working too aggressively on my hair. Thin hair should never be brushed wet especially with a metal brush, that's how you get breakage. Thin hair should also not be blown out with such a hard bristled brush which also causes breakage. I'm not sure how a stylist doesn't know that, that should be basic knowledge. I hope you are able to educate your stylists properly in the future about different hair textures. This is very hard for me to handle because I spent a lot of time trying to reverse the damage my hair has previously had. You guys should really look into the merit of your establishment if you can't even educate your hair dressers on the difference between hair textures. I literally came in for a trim and was left with horrible damage, your establishment should be ashamed. read more

I wrote a review previously but not sure what happened to it. I am writing another commentary because the experience was so memorable and not in a good way: rather, it was probably one of the worst experiences that I've had and I've been going to hair salons all over the world since a young age. I got my color done with the owner Heather Cie S. (see picture of her attached; she deleted her Yelp profile picture and changed her name now "Cie S." after I wrote my review) and it washed away within a week. She failed to mix the correct color and I had to go to a more trusted source in order to fix what she had done to my hair. She was also rude and unprofessional. Actually the salon called me because the time that I had originally scheduled was inconvenient for her and she wanted to reschedule. At the actual appointment, Heather was making comments to one of her minions right in front of me and giving me dirty looks. After she applied the color and let it sit for a while, she plopped herself in the middle of the salon checking her phone with her legs sprawled wide apart like she was sitting in the middle of her own living room. To say the least, this vulgarity was unpleasant to witness. She left early and did not even check the quality of the color, a basic step that every other colorist I've seen does not skip. It's insulting that this person considers herself a "master colorist." It is simply not enough to lay claim to mastery, to name-drop and to sell the "natural Californian blonde" fantasy, a stance which in and of itself is problematic given that it ignores the diversity of what constitutes "California" and LA and endorses white supremacy, a factor that has probably escaped the capacities of her thinking mind. I should add that I did not request her when booking but was unlucky to be assigned to her. She will probably write a response to this review claiming that I was never a customer at her salon: another manifestation of her crooked tactics. The color in and of itself was a sham and definitely not worth the price! It was a very odd situation in which I was paying to get disrespected and to receive horrible service. If you ask me, this is absolutely my favorite hair salon! Best colorists and stylists around!

The last haircut I got was pre-pandemic. A desperate walk in to a chain I will not name. Let's just say you get what you pay for. A botch job that was uneven in many different places. Luckily Cie Salon is now open post pandemic and I got highlights, cut, blow out and Malibu Crystals treatment. heather is the owner and does amazing color! She is fun to be around and uses a balayage technique where the highlight is hand painted on. Nathan did my cut and blow out and he was excellent. Andrew also does amazing color honestly the whole staff is amazing. I was happy to see the safety measures in place at the salon: glass partitions, a pop up location next store to help with social distancing. You're promptly greeted with a form to sign and if you meet the criteria you may then enter. Heather explained to me the safety measures the employees are taking like extra cleaning of high touch areas, social distancing through out the salon, all hairdressers checking temperature before they start work. They are unable to offer refreshments at this time due to quarantine but hope to have them available as soon as possible! Be sure to book in with them ASAP because not many salons have reopened and their spots are filling up fast! read more

I recently went to CIE Salon in the Trancas Marketplace for a wash/blowout for a wedding that evening by Daniella. Her service was excellent, she was very attentive and thorough, as well as such a positive demeanor! I left with my jaw on the floor because that woman blessed me with a hairstyle that I wouldn't be able to do on my own and compliments that led to me referring her to friends for their next event!
