I visited a dear friend in Malibu and it was always a hassle trying to find these items in Malibu. Sephora opened up and their selection is nice, with this location carrying higher end fragrances, skin care brands a variety of health goods. I've shopped at the Malibu Sephora frequently and had many positive experiences over time, which is…read moreexactly why this interaction was so disappointing: a store I had trusted for years handled a straightforward customer-service issue with strikingly little care. I brought in a brand-new product in its original packaging that appeared defective and asked whether its value could be applied toward more than $500 in merchandise I was prepared to purchase that day- not cash back. Mandy Boblett, manager, declined to inspect or handle the product, repeatedly directed me to call Customer Service, rolled her eyes when I asked for clarification, and was dismissive and condescending throughout the exchange. Had a respectable policy prevented the transaction, I would have respected a clear explanation. Instead, I encountered no apparent effort to problem-solve or provide basic customer care. I ultimately left both the defective product and the $500+ purchase behind. For a store that relies on loyalty and client experience, this was a remarkable failure of customer retention. One poor interaction does not erase the many good ones I've had here, but when the person in leadership is the least interested in helping, it changes how you view the store. Customer service is not simply saying no; it is how you communicate, problem-solve, and make customers feel respected.

I absolutely hated how I looked!!! I called Ellie crying. She said don't touch them but after my entire family laughed at my very dark 3x thicker eyebrows, I tried to wash it away. The color calmed down after about 10 days but then I had this weird shadow. I thought it was bc I washed them. I went back to Ellie (NOT a student) and she touched them twice. I paid good money and here I am 6 months later with this weird bluish shadow on top of my original eyebrows. A few weeks ago, I saw a close friend and noticed how nice and full her eyebrows looked. OMG!!! I thought she had some procedure done where her actual eyebrow hair grew. I got the info from her and just had mine done again last week from Snazzy Brows. I love my new thicker fuller eyebrows!!Naz took almost 20 minutes just drawing them. Whereas Ellie completed the entire procedure in that time. Do your homework!! Reminder that yelp can be written up by friends. Also I would definitely ignore all comments posted by students unless you're a student. I am ONLY posting this bc this is YOUR FACE. Do not mess around with it!!! Message me if you need info for the place that fixed my eyebrows in case yelp asks me to take down the name. I am ONLY yelping this for eyebrows so I have no idea if Ellie does better work with other procedures. Photos are in order of: #1- original eyebrows #2- first visit with Ellie #3- two weeks ago (6 months later consisting of 2 touch ups from Ellie) #4 one week ago first visit with Naz at snazzy eyebro
