I did business with Sawchuck's for the first time in June 2018 after a disappointing experience with the local Chevy dealer who failed two times in a row to correctly repair the transmission in my 2008 Chevy Impala, So I took the car to Sawchuck's instead, and they repaired the transmission correctly and also replaced the power steering pump and the rack & pinion assembly which were also in need of repair. Best thing of all is that they got it right the first time! Fast forward to January 2019 the "new" power steering pump Sawchuck's installed 6 months ago started to make noise and I took the car back to have them take a look at it. They determined that the "new" pump had indeed gone bad and replaced it at no charge for parts or labor under their 1-year warranty. The lesson learned is that it's false economy when the authorized dealer can't get it right, and charges you multiple times for the same repair, and still can't get it right. While Sawchuck's is not the least expensive shop in the area they more than make-up for in their expertise and ability to take-on repairs the other guys (even the dealers) can't get right.

I came in and Keith looked the car over said since the engine will be torn apart if I wanted to replace the serpentine belt (it was wearing out), sparks plugs (they had never been changed because you have to take the top part of the engine off to do it and it costs about $600) and timing chain (the parts were about $300 and having the peace of mind of a new timing chain was worth it) I would only be charged for the parts since the labor is the same. Doing all that was still less than what the dealer wanted to charge just for the water pump. Excellent service, they went out of their way to have the car ready. The office staff is great. The car now runs great! I highly recommend them.
