We see dr Miller and she is great! She makes us feel valued and listens to our concerns. The only downside to this office is the wait time, we have waited for 30+minutes to see her. I try and be the first one there for we won't wait that long but if it is in the middle of the day, different story. We've take our daughter to Dr. Ramirez at TLC since we were released from the hospital. I've seen all but one of the four doctors, and have been extremely pleased with all of them. They offer both a sick and well child waiting room. Our daughter loves the themed rooms. With small children, you will have the inevitable emergencies that require a doctors visit. My child is two now, and we have never been unable to get an emergency/sick appointment. Our phone calls have always been promptly returned on the same day. Anything they told us they were doing, was done as promised. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

Dr Matsumoto is great she has been both of our kid's doc since birth. Great at communication with the kids and the parents. She recognized and helped us with some early intervention for our newborn that I don't think any other DR would have caught. I have also seen DR Ramierez a couple of time and think she is excellent as well. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the front office sucks... I've been taking my kids there for 10 years and certain that nobody other than DR. Matsumoto knows my name. Rarely a warm greeting when you check in, no counter space to fill out paperwork. Waiting room times have improved. When I call the office I always call when I can afford to be on hold for several minutes Care of the kids is most important so I will always recommend them. read more

I have never been disappointed with any doctor in this practice and we have seen all of them. They are thorough, consistent, respectful of your wishes as a parent and have great bedside manner. They have on occasion, stayed late to see my children and even if we're the last one in the office, they don't short you a quality visit. I would recommend them to any parent who wants a really good group of pediatricians. As far as wait times, I personally have never waited more than 15 minutes past my appointment time but honestly when you have good doctors (like those at TLC), they're going to be busy. If the office was empty, I'd be worried. read more

The doctors are fine but the wait times are horrible. I don't expect to be seen right on the dot, but always waiting for nearly an hour with a sick, whiny toddler with all the other equally miserable parents is just dreadful. And I'm a SAHM. I can't imagine how you're going to manage your day if you're taking time off work to be at TLC Peds. The office staff can also be nicer. It's already a stressful time for parents to be dealing with sicks kiddos, some sympathy and smiles would cheer up the patient's day. read more

I would love to talk about the quality of the physicians or how much I like the office, however I found myself unable to make an appointment. While the receptionist was kind and thorough, the doctors in the practice will not accept new patients with an alternate vaccine schedule. Keep in mind I'm not making the choice to not vaccinate my children, only to vaccinate them on a different schedule. In my opinion, a quality pediatric office is open to various vaccination schedules, and should do their best to make parents feel comfortable with their decisions. read more

Been taking both my kids here from day one and I recommend them to everyone! I have always been able to get same day appointments, the staff are always friendly and considerate, they run very close to on time, and the doctors listen to me and take my opinions and thoughts into consideration. That last one is VERY important to me! Plus, Dr. Matsumoto & Dr. Miller both have privileges at Banner Desert/Cardon Children's Medical Center. So I know if my kids end up there, their pediatrican will be able to assist with care. This was also very important when our first born was in the NICU for the first week of his life. read more

We love love love TLC Pediatrics! Everyone from the front office, to billing, to the nurses and doctors is always so kind! I feel so taken care of by them, especially when my children are sick. I know they have my childrens' best interest and well being at heart. It's critical for a mother to be able to trust their pediatrician and their staff. Dr. Matsumoto is kind, gentle and knowledgeable. The on call nurses get back to me right away and are patient and helpful. I literally don't know what I would do without TLC. I think Dr Miller is very good clinically and very compassionate, but for our 6 visits since last November (typical stuff - ear infections, stomach bug, allergic reaction), our average wait time was at least an hour. Even our 18mo check up appointment that was at 8:15 didn't start until 9 because the people with the appointment before us was late. Not our problem... We're going to try elsewhere. read more

I used to take my daughter to TLC, but have stopped going for a couple of reasons. First, the wait time whether we were in the lobby or actual exam room was at least 45 minutes before we saw the doctor regardless of the time of day, season or day of the week. They would always apologize, but nothing was done. It felt like they crammed too many patients in. Second, one of the nurses there was extremely rude. I was a first time Mom and was working on breastfeeding. Most breastfed babies it takes a few days to get going and at my most vulnerable state she snapped and said, "we're not going to starve your baby". Every time we had her she was so cold and it was uncomfortable. I told Dr. Miller about the situation and apparently they have to talk to the nurse about that a few times a year. So that makes it okay?? Dr. Miller was always very nice and comforting, but the cons outweighed the pros. read more

I recently moved from Tucson and was referred by a co worker to tlc pediatrics. The first couple of visits were good except the wait times. This last visit however is making me think I should find my son a new pediatric. As we first walked in the woman at the front desk didn't say anything or even smile so I said hi to her first and she hesitated then said a very unfriendly hello. I sat down and was thinking okay that wasn't a very good sign. We waited awhile as usual and when finally brought back to the room waited some more for the doctor to come back. My whole purpose of my appointment was go talk to the doctor about getting my son a referral (my son has a lot of medical issues) so when the doctor came in I began to explain to her what has been going on with him and kind of going through his medical history with her when all of sudden one of the assistants just opens the door and walks in the room to tell her she had a phone call from a cardiologist. She told her the person on the phone said it was not urgent and that she could call him back. Well to my surprise the doctor just gets up and excuses herself to take the phone call. It was in my opinion, very rude and unprofessional. I was very upset because I had made this appointment two hours before his dentist appointment which is literally next door since I had to take time off work for this I figured I make them back to back. Even when I had scheduled the appointment I told them that. So finally 30 minutes later the doctor comes back and at this point we only had 10 minutes before my son's next appointment so she rushed to do is 4 year wellness check and didn't even give me the referral I needed. And to top it all off they ended up giving my son his 4 year old shots which I had no idea they were going to do. My son's old primary care would advise me all that over the phone so I could be prepared with his shot records and due to my son's extensive medical history I usually talk to him and prepare him for things like that instead of just springing it up on him and making him not trust the doctors even more. So that was my experience and I will probably not return there again. read more

I have been going to this medical office for 8 years. The first few years were wonderful and Dr. Moulton is great. However, lately, he's always been booked months and months in advance and I'm delegated to the Nurse Practitioner which changes constantly. I have finally given up and moved my kids from this office. The last straw was they charged me for a no show after I missed my kids appointment. They normally give phone call reminders a day or so on the appointment but I didn't receive it. They refuse to waive the fee. Thinking after all the bills I paid, they refuse to waive the fee, and not being able to see the actual doctor, but their nurse practitioner, this is my last straw. read more

dr. matsumoto and her team are the best! she came recommended to me by a friend who also goes there. they truly care about the WHOLE child and not just their medical care. we have seen 3 of the pediatricians in the office and they have all been great. we developed a special bond with Dr. Miller during a very lengthy health issue with my son. it's a 45 minute drive for us now that we've moved, but we still make the drive to see dr. miller because we trust her to make the right decisions and offer the best advice for my child's health. read more

We've actually left this office after I spent another 20 mins on the phone to cancel an appointment. Another reason is that they don't offer combination vaccines. It's cheaper for pediatric offices to carry individual vaccines, but as far as I'm concerned, if I can get the same vaccines in 2 shots somewhere else vs. 4 shots that TLC peds does, I'm going else where. As I mentioned in my previous review they were also too loose with referrals (in my opinion), I was interested in a different physician style. read more

Have been to this practice multiple times with all 3 kids throughout the years. Very responsive to our needs. The office is clean and kid-friendly. No significant wait time with scheduled appointments, and we can always get in to see a physician when the unexpected need arises. read more

We started going to this office in 2012. The Dr we saw from 2012 to 2016 was amazing and the reason we kept going to the practice. She left in 2016 and we decided not to keep going to TLC because the office is very poorly run. For a typical visit we would spend 15-20 minutes in the waiting room, then another 20-30 minutes in the exam room waiting for the Doctor. Anyone with kids knows that having to wait in a confined space with a toddler with very little entertainment for a half hour is torture. On one occasion after enduring the waiting room and exam room waits, our child needed vaccines so the doctor said the nurse would be in shortly for that. 25 minutes later I opened the door and asked someone what was taking so long. Turned out they had totally forgotten about us! It took another 5 minutes for them to prepare the vaccines so we could leave. For that visit we spent over an hour and a half there. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. read more

Dr. Miller is great and has been the reason we keep returning. However the wait times are too long. It takes anywhere from 30- 60 minutes after your apt time to see the dr. Even if you go right after lunch. I assume this is because they take sick kids in the day of. Which would also be a benefit I guess. My biggest complaint is when my child goes there, he always gets sick. Maybe the rooms could be a little cleaner? Or nurses and drs can wash hands more often. Or even , wipe down the scale once in a while. This is very frustrating and is one of the reasons I will be looking for another dr. It's a shame because we really like the drs. read more

We've been coming to the TLC practice for over 13 years (my oldest since he was a year old and my youngest since the day he was born, when Dr Matsumoto came to exam him in the hospital). One of my kids had a lot of health issues so I can say we were in the office ALOT when he was young. He's now a teenager. We've seen most all the docs but Dr Matsumoto is our primary Dr. She spends quality time with us and her diagnosis of any ailment my boys ever have had has always been spot ON! If there was ever a need for more info we are immediately sent for appropriate tests. Dr Matsumoto has 5 or 6 kids herself. She gets it and knows first hand what it's like!!! The staff at TLC are great and always seem to work wonders to get us seen when possible if something urgent could be happening. The TLC Nurse staff is always helpful and they call bk when msgs are left on the nurse line with any questions I've had. Dr Matsumoto is very thorough and we're very happy with the level of care our family receives at this practice from the staff and all the providers we've had. I can't say enough good things, we feel like our kids are in great hands at TLC!!! read more

Being a military family we have been to so many pediatricians both good and bad... but I have never come across Dr's quite like the ones at TLC ( and I'm a nurse who works w/ drs all day everyday). My children see Dr nania... she's soft spoken calm passionate and understanding with my concerns. She's called me @ 8pm once to let me know a RX is ready that she called in. My son had blood work done today and Dr. Miller ( who we're not even a pt of ) called @ 930pm to let me know his labs are normal. For a mother that's a breath of fresh air, and AMAZING that she took time out her busy schedule to let me know and relieve some fears . A++ for TLC pediatrics highly recommend to anyone who really wants the best for their child/children. read more

We just moved here from Nashville and saw this office close to my house. My sons first appointment seemed to go okay. Didn't spend a lot of time with us. We had to bring our son back a few times and the wait time was ridiculous! By the 3 visit I couldn't do it anymore. I waited over an hour outside with no communication from front office. We will be switching doctors. read more

I didn't go personally with my child to see Dr. Nania, my spouse did. I was told the Dr. was "blah". I know she is a general Dr. and we just needed to be referred to a specialist but I expected more because I heard this was such a great practice. My child needed blood work done and she didn't even bother to tell us that my child needed to fast before going to the lab. I spent my day off juggling my errands around to be able to make an appointment at the lab and take my child out of school to get this done. I am not happy and will not be going back to this practice. read more

I love Dr. Matsumoto and so do my three children. Our insurance changed earlier this year and TLC didn't accept my new insurance so I had to go to another pediatrician. However, in November, we were able to get new insurance and TLC is covered again. We are so excited to be going back to Dr. Matsumoto. read more

I am so frustrated with this office. When I first started going to TLC they were great, I got right in with my kid and I loved Dr. Nania. Over the last year the office has gotten progressively worse. If our appointment is at 10am, we don't even get brought into the back until 11am and then sit back there 30 minutes before we are seen. This happens every time. My friend who goes there said the same thing happens to her. The other thing that has been an issue is their billing department. The let go their old manager and hired a new lady who is very rude and hard to deal with. While I love Dr. Nania, I will no longer bring my kids there. read more
