I've taken my kids several different places and this was such a great office. The provider that saw my son was very caring. The provider was very informative and gave really good quality feedback. I definitely will be back to bring my second son. The office reminds me of the finding Nemo movie with the fish tank. There's also a really great view from the second story. I've taken all five of my children here since my now 19 year was 2. I read some of the negative reviews and do have to say that the drs here do things a specific way for a reason and I'll share one so holding your child during shots can be very dangerous for your child if the flail their arm/leg the needle could break off and get stuck I had a nurse a different pediatrician scream at me because I didn't hold my child correctly and that's why I came to Dr novy and Dr Kraig and I shared my experience with them. If you are unaware this office has been featured in parenting magazines numerous times the stay up to date on everything to care for our children and you won't get turned down for your new patient appt if you show up to do the paperwork at the time you are supposed. They are running a business and have other children that need to be seen as well so show up on time is your responsibility not theirs. Dr. Novy is by far the best Dr you could have for your children she explains things plainly so you don't have to guess or pretend you know what she means she is super supportive of mothers and families and has gone above and beyond for me and mine over the past nearly 20 years. We have finally switched doctors! I highly highly do not recommend Dr Kraig. I'm a first time mama and she's always made me feel like I'm dumb, and have no idea what I'm talking about. What really sent me over the edge with her care was my sons 9 month check up. We were sitting in the room 45 minutes past our appointment time! And my son was hungry so I fed him his snacks, I'm not going to starve my kid while waiting on you. Anyways, Dr Kraig came in while I was giving him snacks. And she literally yelled at me and said " there's no food allowed in here, I have too look into his mouth and I'd appreciate not having to see half chewed up food. And if you would like to hold you child in your arms during vaccines don't go here, they make you lay them down on the table alone, and you have to hold them down for shots. No way in hell I will ever go back to this place. We love Acts of Kidness, and I'm so happy we're switching back! read more

Both doctors are very thorough and knowledgeable. Dr Kreig always asks, "What questions do you have?" and then takes her time to answer them. She communicates directly with the children and we have never felt rushed. They always do their best to fit us in when we need to be seen same day. read more

My child has a cold and upon calling the office here, the office manager Jani literally told me to go to CVS. I have never seen or heard of a children's pediatrician office tell a patient to go to cvs. She was very rude and yelling in such a disrespectful manner. I've already contacted her insurance and changed her pediatrician which is sad because the doctors here are amazing but the office manager must be replaced. In no way is it okay to speak to me disrespectfully and tell me to go to cvs. Dr Katherine Krieg has been her pediatrician for 3 years now so we are not new patients. I have been a customer for 15+ years between my 2 daughters and had such an unfortunate experience with the Office Manager that it actually troubled me. I was even so concerned on treatment of people that I called my daughters mom who I was horrified to find out has had similar issues this year with the office staff. During a call today where I was trying to understand a message I received I was told they wont help and I have to figure it out. When I asked what they meant by the terms they were using, I was told to figure it out myself (seriously). When I said I was concerned on rudeness and would like to speak with her boss (her being the Office Manager) I was told I wasnt important enough to speak to the doctors, so they won't talk to me and she decides if she as the office manager talks to me or not. I was beyond shocked. Among other rude comments, I had to disconnect the call. Normally I would just walk away from a service as no reason to ever get mad, but I am so shocked that I honestly am trying to contact the business owner as I am scared what other families may be experiencing. We always had good luck with the doctors but I would be surprised if they knew what was going on with the Office Manager and potentially office staff. I really hope this helps drive change. I am writing a letter to the doctors and will try to find ways to give them this feedback. We will obviously never go back for the comments this person made but I hope to talk to other families I know to warn them. read more

Writing another review because Children's oasis absolutely deserves it. My daughter sees Dr. Novy now, and boy let me tell you how thankful I am for her!!!! Every concern, every worry, every sickness.. she listens to me, she addresses it, we make a plan to treat it and get my daughter feeling well. She's so quick to send in prescriptions or orders for anything, one time she even called the next day after seeing my daughter to check on her and see how her night went. She listens to my every concern and is gentle and kind. The staff is unbelievably the kindest staff I've ever encountered. Julia is a DOLL. She's one of the nurses. I came in one day crying, sleep deprived, worried and stressed. She hugged me and reassured me and just made me feel better. I am so thankful for Children's oasis in more ways than one and all of the staff working there. You guys are the best and I just truly cannot thank you all enough!! I have been disappointed with the care provided for years. Finally decided to part ways. I felt like Dr Craig was pushy and rude.

I have been taking my (5) kids here for 18+ years and Dr.Krieg has always been absolutely fantastic! My kids look forward to seeing her and I love that! They always make sure my kids get seen when I need to bring them in. They also have an on-call nurse for after hours in which I've called several times. I highly recommend this office! read more

The front office staff is HORRIBLE!! A pediatricians office and when I'm 7 mins late (due to a train that runs by their office) then I am told I have to reschedule. I look in the waiting room and there is not a soul in sight and say we could wait around for an appt or for her to fit us in for an annual wellness check and that was NOT an option and no willingness to work with clients at all. In 43 years, I've never experienced a doctor's office that wouldn't work with clients to fit them in for quick appts when they are late...especially a pediatricians office where HELLO PARENTS ARE RANGLING KIDS TO GET THEM IN THERE...THEY MIGHT BE A COUPLE MINS LATE...GIVE THEM A BREAK!!! We used to see Dr Novy and Dr Craig. Dr Novy was the better of the two but hard to get on to see. I have two boys that are 18 months apart. I remember going in and mentioning that my younger one was colicky and Dr Craig's response to me was, "all babies Cry." Well it turned out that my first child was high functioning autistic and I wasn't used to having a normal child. I had brought up numerous times to both about his walking delays, speech delays, and other things but they never really mentioned much. By the time we switched peds it was too late for him to get early intervention and we had to go through the school and other routes. The final straw was when I went in with my oldest son who had a fever and sore throat. Dr Novy took a swab culture and sent us on our way saying it was just a virus. I never heard back from the office. A few days latter a took my other son to urgent care and he tested positive for strep. At this point I realized that my oldest son had strep too and took him to urgent care also. He was covered in a rash and had a high fever with a very bad case of strep. A week later I received a letter from the lab test notifying us that the strep test that dr Novy took was positive. Never got a call. The boys also ended up with pneumonia multiple times because we were brushed off with just having colds and ended up going back to their office 2-3 times in a short period. One of them ended up being pretty sick for 3 weeks read more

Dr. Novy is unprofessional, careless, egotistical, and disrespectful. She saw my son multiple times for a chronic rash. She kept passing it off as eczema and told us not to worry about it. As it kept getting worse we asked her for a referral to see a dermatologist. She said and I quote "I've been to a dermatology seminar, so I'm just As qualified as a dermatologist", and refused to let us see any type of specialist. During this discussion she continuously talked over us in a very aggressive manner, which was extremely frustrating and uncomfortable. Needless to say we've switched pediatricians and found out from a specialist that my son didn't have eczema, it was actually an allergic reaction. We never would have known about this if we'd stuck with dr Novy. I highly recommend seeing a different pediatrician who is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. read more

The doctors here are very experienced and worth the visit. Saturday appointments really help with our schedule . We have never had any issues and our daughter has been with this group since she was little. She is 16 years old now and they treat her just as well now as when she was 6. Complaint: Dr Krieg was intimidating and threatening when we disclosed that we had been and wanted to continue to breast feed 100% for up to a year. She offered no support, no Lactation nurse on staff, no knowledge of the subtleties of breastfeeding compared to formula feeding of which she was prompting us to do because he was not gaining enough weight based on a chart for formula fed infants. She never offered to recommend a lactation specialist, nor were there any signs of the guidelines set forth by the state and the AAP in her office. She went on further in threatening to call CPS if we did not submit our otherwise healthy baby to a hospital immediately. Evidence: No signage in the office. No lactation nurse/specialist on staff. Other Info: DHS, AAP and the Arizona AG's office are all being cc'd and contacted to file formal complaints by end of business day today as well. read more

The front desk people are super unprofessional! Rude and inconsiderate. We came in today with my daughter (16 years old) who was getting checked for a UTI or an issue with her vagina. I asked if we as in me and my 4 year old could wait outside the room to give her her privacy while being checked down there. They told me no we had to be in there. After filling out paperwork the front desk lady was complaining about having to work today and how she wasn't supposed to work to another patients mother. When it was my turn the front desk lady rolled her eyes at me. Looked at my paperwork and said because my daughter wasn't my "biological" daughter I couldn't take her to the doctor which was never an issue her whole life until today. I have taken her to every doctors appointment I've even taken my nieces to the doctor I don't see the issue? I have taken my other kids there and it wasn't a problem. I am married to her biological father who was at work and she didn't feel comfortable talking about her vagina with him. What teenage girl does?? And if he would have came they would of made him be in the room while she was getting looked at???? I spoke to the "Manager" that didn't even listen to me or even care what I had to say. She did say we could be seen but my husband had to fill out her hippa form. At this point I decided to go elsewhere! I have blue cross insurance we pay a lot for healthcare why would I want to pay this doctor office for poor treatment. We ended up going to a different place and she was treated with no attitude and no problems. I have never in my life been treated so poorly. I also asked them to cancel all future appointments and accounts for my other 3 children. I have 5 kids total 3 are biologically mine this has never been an issue ever!!!! We just had our baby girl 3 days ago, and because of circumstances during her first couple of days with us needed to see a doctor in the following couple of days. We chose this office because of a recommendation we received and made an appointment with them just before we left the hospital. Unfortunately, getting everyone ready in the morning took a bit longer than we expected and we were running a bit late. We called the office to let them know that we were running late and we were told that we couldn't come in and had to reschedule our appointment. We also came to the understanding that if we had just showed up at the office late that they would have seen us, but because we called them to be courteous they turned us away. The woman that my girl friend spoke to on the phone to notify the office that we were running late was utterly rude to her, and I assume that I spoke to the same person when I called - because she didn't seem to have any interest in making things right. Clearly this tells me that: a.) This office does not have my daughter's best interests in mind. b.) They are unprofessional I was shocked that they didn't seem to care about my daughters health, that they didn't want our business and that they acted so unprofessionally. I'm glad that I was able to find another doctor's office who was willing to immediately fit us in, even though they were booked for the day. If anyone finds themselves needing a pediatrician go with East Valley Pediatrics, not these jerks. read more

My children have been seeing Dr Novy for over 10 years and I have had nothing but superior care from the office manager to the office receptionist and everyone in between!! So friendly. Very knowledgeable. Extremely professional. They always work us in when one of my boys needed to be seen. Just love love this practice!!! Dr. Novy has been my son's doctor for the first year of his life. I will not be returning after our one year checkup we had with her this week where she basically told me I need to wean my breastfed son. She is a friendly doctor but there have been multiple occasions where her comments on our parenting style just did not sit right with me. She also did not provide the breastfeeding support I was hoping for. For example my son got his first tooth at 5 months and when I asked her what I could do about preventing biting, she just laughed it off and didn't offer any suggestions. At our most recent appointment she kept telling me I need to wean my son, the sooner the better, and the longer I wait to give him cows milk, the worse it will be. She was very adamant that I need to pick a day to wean him and to stick to it, no matter how much he wants to continue. I just felt it was very unprofessional and honestly felt like I was being scolded for wanting to nurse my son. If you are not breastfeeding you may have better luck. I loved the nurses we saw but we did wait up to an hour at each well check. read more

We were very uncomfortably, Dr. Krieg was not warm or nurturing and has a complete lack of respect for people with other opinions and how to raise there own children. And I waited a while to write a review one I was angry and do to my husband and I were still in shock as we were leaving, we have had the same family Dr. For ever and we had just moved here, And he never made us feel this way . You can have other opinions on (shots, dental, and nutrition) as long as the child is health happy and well cared for and you equally have the child's best interest at heart ! That's what it's really about !! But even after all was said and done and she had basically picked us apart we were told our kids were in perfect health and right where they should be ? Needless to say having your 10 year old ask you if he was going to die because we refused the flu shot is not a experience my kids need or us as parents need. Any Dr that would say if child gets sick and dies because we didn't want a flu shot...dont call her !! Right infrount of our 2 and 10 year old is not for us .. I would not take your children to this pediatrician!!! They are awful!! Dr. Krieg is a horrible doctor!!! We are reporting her. She saw my son twice and wanted me to stop breastfeeding and formula feed as he was not gaining that much weight. She went ahead to say he was extremely healthy but needed to gain weight. She never offered me any support of any kind. She wanted to admit him to the hospital even though he was healthy. We told her we were going to get a 2nd opinion and she said we could do what we wanted but she was discharging him as a patient immediately and calling CPS on us. We went to Agave Pediatrics the next day and immediately they told us our son had tongue-tie. Dr. Krieg didn't even check for this she just wanted to send him to the hospital and discharge him as her patient. Wow what a great doctor!! She is a horrible human being!!!! How dare she try to call me an unfit mother and call CPS on me!!!! She obviously in an unfit doctor to not even look and see our son has tongue-tie!!!! I recently visited Oasis Pediatrics, Dr. Novy was our scheduled pediatrician. This was a visit for standard 11 year vaccinations. The school district requirement being, DTAP, and meningococcal. Upon meeting Dr. Novy for the first time, she reviewed the questions pertaining to the check up, then stated that we were there to receive the vaccines, and she added HPV vaccine. I stated, we would decline the HPV at that time, as we are still discussing as a family. She became very persistent, and aggressive with rebuttals to my response, stating the it is required to administer the HPV vaccine. I replied, that it is in fact not required, but highly recommended. I stated that I would go with the school districts requirements for now. She stated that the schools are 20 years behind the Pediatric Boards. I again reiterated that we would decline for now... She responded again, more aggressively, about how the antibodies are better at 11 then 15. I declined once again, and stated that we are reviewing, and not ready. She then replied, " Fine..when she gets cancer it is not our fault..." in front of my daughter, who has lost an aunt to cancer, and has a grandmother, living with cancer now... I then said that I was leaving, and we would not ever be back. I took my daughter's hand, and we parted ways after I stated we would be leaving as she was aggressive and condescending...Now I will say, vaccines are permanent, and can not be reversed. My family is very analytical, we do not make important decisions hastily. It is our prerogative to do our research. Regardless of our difference of opinion, for her to state this in front of my child is abusive, and at a level of unprofessionalism, that I have never seen in my life. When taking the Hippocratic oath, " First, do no harm," that includes with her ideas, and words. Now my child has that severely negative experience, of having a doctor verbally attack me, about her acquiring cancer..DO NOT go here...find a better doctor who will not plant those destructive seeds, and try to strong arm you into a vaccine you are not sure about..On a positive note, my daughter was able to witness what standing up for yourself, (and family) looks like, and I know that she know s I will always move mountains for her and her sister. read more

Just moved from Michigan & wanted to do a meet and greet with this office before making our decision on who should care for our son. I am a first time mom, moved from a small town & checking out a couple different places. The receptionist was SO rude!!!! My husbands new insurance was pending since he just signed up for It not even 24 hours before through his work. This office would NOT even see my son, not a meet in greet... NOTHING. they wanted me to pay $150 to meet the pediatrician!!!! I have insurance through Michigan & they wouldn't accept it because they have never heard of it before. Then the office manager came out and was VERY rude as well. As she was walking away, she made a comment under he breath while shaking her head. What a great first impression.. I was shocked. we moved to the gilbert area for multiple reasons, and word of mouth that "its a friendly" town was one of them.. what a way to start our first week in this town!!!! Staff is great!... Both doctors are NOT. They are culturally insensitive and seem to "tolerate" ethnic patients when I observe their interaction . Additionally, they act as though you are trying to diagnose your child when they ask you to describe the symptoms. I had two kids with strep and days later I came with my 3rd child which tested negative although he was running a fever, sore throat, and all the signs of the first two with strep.... but was diagnosed with a virus. I never voiced an opinion either way but she remembered me because I had been there twice within a week with my other kids. I did comment " once 1 child gets it, it seems as though the rest get sick" ( all parents know this) I guess this must of sent her on some ego trip because she wanted to keep mentioning a viral infection. ....shortened story, 4 hours later I took him to urgent care and the throat swipe came back positive for strep!! read more
