It looked good for about one year and then reverted back to what was there before! They had just done cosmetic work, not rehab! Four years ago, my brother had Master Pavers do landscaping and pavers on his property. I have watched it "grow" and it is as good as it was the day they finished the job. July 2026 I contacted M.P. and scheduled an estimate. We agreed on what needed to be done - which was a huge project involving replacing drainage system, irrigation system, tearing out 2 gates, walkways, patio, front porch, and stairs, removing dead plants and lawn and more! Work started a little over a week later and took 8 weeks to complete. Our front and back yard is transformed! We cannot believe how beautiful it looks. Lucy's design was perfect for our space and needs. We also want to give a shout out to the men who did the work! They are incredible and worked under difficult conditions (days that were over 100') in the sun. The very last thing they did was "clean up" and that was impressive as well, because the "tear out" was very messy! When they left, everything looked perfect. It was not "cheap" - but the thoroughness, the design, the quality of the work was excellent! And it will still be excellent 15+ years from now!!!

After complaining, they replanted them days later but the plants did not survive. They also damaged my drip system (they did fix it after I brought to their attention) also, the workers left trash in the yard. John was kind and understanding but I will continue to tell my neighbors to stay away from them.

One specific issue I wanted to note below: Here is what the contract said: "Fix and move existing irrigation in the backyard to new shape of lawn." When they put in new irrigation, they chose to bury an old sprinkler. The old sprinkler is now leaking. Why didn't they just FIX AND MOVE the old sprinkler like the contract said? Owner danced around this question, and they won't repair it. Now I will have to pay a new company to repair it. There were some other questionable events, but I will be respectful and not go into them. I DO NOT recommend using Shear Perfection Landscape.

Chad was friendly, professional, had exceptional working knowledge, explained things perfectly, and listened to my goals (so important!). He immediately understood what I wanted to do with both yards, offering wonderful suggestions based on his years of experience. The quote I received was great, covering everything Chad and I had discussed. They were able to get me on their schedule right away. The team that came out and performed the work (Romeo, Luke, Roberto and Caesar) were exceptional. Always friendly, professional, willing to answer my many questions (lol!), and their work product was perfect. Andrea was a fantastic Admin. She kept all the paperwork and communication flowing, and was a wonderful resource when I had questions. Chad was great - onsite and present often, providing information and ensuring that I was happy with the progress. The project included: demoing the bark, patio and existing fountain; removing plants; replacing old drip and lighting lines; replacing irrigation valves and solenoids; finishing all beds with lava rock; pouring approx (1000) sq ft of concrete - 2 color stamped pattern; installing a header board along a property line; and building a mini retaining wall along the sidewalk. They cleaned up everything when they were finished, it was spotless. The work done was exactly as we discussed and I am so pleased. They will be coming back out to seal the concrete after it is done curing. Based on my wonderful experience with them I highly recommend Shear Perfection Landscaping. This is a cautionary tale! I've spent almost 10 thousand…read moredollars with Santana Landscape Hardscape in the last 4 months. My first experience 4 thousand dollars was satisfactory enough that I felt OK having them back. However, the second experience was a complete disaster! Initially it took several calls to David and several missed appointments to even connect. David and I finally got together to discuss the work and I was given a tentative price of $6500.00, to"oh maybe $7000.00" for cement work and sprinkler repair. While discussing the work we downgraded from the original cement work requested, to lava rock, and then another downgrade from lava rock, to bark chips. Each time we discussed the downgraded medium, I was told by David that it would be a "big cost savings to me". When the work was finally done and the workers left there was a huge pile of debris in my front yard (picture below). I was told they would come back in one to two days to remove the mess! While the work was being done David was nowhere around and there was no one to walk the final job with me or to explain what had been done. As I checked the "finished" work myself, I found that the drip-system, that was requested and agreed upon, did not exist, the repairs to the existing sprinkler system still had several leaks, our gravel driveway had huge gouges, holes and divots from maneuvering their trucks around and most heart breaking the pile of debris in the front yard was thrown on top of an ornamental swan planter, a memento from our daughters wedding. I had to lift one of the rail road ties off the swan myself...I'm 78 years old! But the final blow was when one of the workers told me that David had asked that I give him the check for final payment of $6900.00. Where was the savings from the down grade from cement work, to lava rock, to bark chips? I should have said NO and had David come and explain the bill to me himself! I did talk to David about the unsatisfactory workmanship and missing items which have since been completed, but this experience has left me with a very negative impression of Santana Landscaping and a caution for others to make sure you get a quote in writing!

By eliminating things we never wanted in the first place, got it down to $28,000. It took them 4 months from beginning to end. I like the end result however, I did not get an itemized invoice until the end. 1 tree was $1700. The Sega plants were $330. ea. If they had given me this invoice in the beginning I never would have used them.
