We went with Forever Builders, who also did some demo for us when we first moved in. Among other things, we 1) stripped and replaced the floor, 2) demoed the built-in tub and replaced it with a soaking tub, 3) replaced the vanity countertops, 4) installed a chandelier and sconces, and 5) installed a custom shower door. Steve was our project manager for the entire project, which took 3-4 weeks. We are so incredibly pleased with the result, and just as happy with the service and professionalism we received from Steve and his team. Steve managed every aspect of this complex project flawlessly, stopped by frequently to check progress and QC each phase of work, and was consistently responsive and professional. He took my calls on nights and weekends, and I always felt taken care of and valued as an important customer--such a rare occurrence these days. The craftsmanship was flawless too. I am a detail-oriented person and tend to demand perfection, and Forever Builders exceeded my expectations. As a bonus, they also installed a floating vanity for me in a secondary bathroom, as a complimentary part of the project. Since then, I have also asked Steve and Forever Builders to patch up a huge portion of ceiling drywall at my mom's house that was screwed up by another company, and they did an amazing job with that as well. You will not find a more consistently exceptional company. I'm a customer for life.

Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

We hired EZ Design and build to remodel our upstairs guest bathroom, Downstairs bathroom and Bar…read more We also asked them to upgrade our electric panel to accommodate the installation of a Jacuzzi tub in the downstairs bathroom. The upstairs work consisted of the rip out of the countertop, sinks, floor tile, bath and shower and toilet. The existing cabinets were refaced with new doors and drawer. A tiled shower was built, new floor, lighting and re-fabrication of the area we decided to have a door removed from. A new quartz counter top was installed. The walls were textured and painted. We worked with Eden Tcherchi for all of our remodeling. From our very first meeting I felt confident I picked the right builder. My wife and I was amazed by her knowledge in all areas of construction. She has it all down, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and electrical. Besides those skills she is also a top notch interior designer. She took us shopping for tile, Quartz and plumbing fixtures and gave us some excellent advice and examples that made things really easy for us. Eden stays in touch through every process. She made several visits just to make sure we were happy. She monitors her work crews very well and kept us informed of any delays. Eden is very caring and passionate in her work. She will not let her team cut corners and has a very sharp eye for detail and precision. If you pick something out on your own she will ask you questions you never thought of. We decided to keep going after our beautiful upstairs guest bath was finished and asked Eden to put in new cabinets in our bar to replace a mirrored glass wall and glass shelves. They also replaced the existing cabinet doors and painted. The downstairs bath involved a rip out of the tub and counter top. Our new jacuzzi tub was installed, new showers fixtures and the walls were tiled. The counter top was replaced with quartz and the cabinets re-painted. Eventually we are going to get tired of walking around on our uneven brick patio. Eden said they could do it in pavers and make everything nice and even. EZ Design and build will always be my choice and will be who I refer. They can do it all and do it with the highest level of quality.

Bear in mind, I had a family friend perform the work. However, Mark came out on short notice to estimate the work that needed to be done. He was friendly, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. His schedule was flexible to perform the work in a very timely manner, being that it was an urgent repair. He gave me a fair and reasonable estimate, and specifically stated he will not increase the price of the job if any unforeseen problems came up with the fence posts needing to be replaced. I will certainly call him to perform any future handyman work that may be needed. BTW, Alex Nolin Construction came out for an estimate as well and quoted me for 3x the cost of Mark's estimate. Shame on them! I'd be highly wary of them!!! Thanks Mark!!

TLDR: Had we done more research beforehand, we would not have hired Mark. Trust the many negative…read morereviews already posted. Mark presents himself as a professional handyman with over 40 years of experience, yet the work we received was amateur and lacked attention to detail. We hired Mark to paint two bedrooms in our home. During our initial conversation, he indicated that his quote included all prep work. One of the rooms required drywall repair. As the work progressed, we checked in throughout the day and assumed he would properly prep the patched areas by sanding and smoothing them before painting. After the first coat, the walls looked very rough. We expected further corrections, but became concerned when outlet covers were reinstalled while the walls were still in poor condition, with visible rough areas and spots lacking adequate paint coverage. We raised these concerns, explaining that this was not what we expected. He went back to re-prep the wall and repaint, but applied heavy, uneven strokes of joint compound. After repainting, the original wall texture and the compound did not match, and the flaws remained clearly visible. We found paint on our floors, door handles, and driveway, and noticed that paintbrush splatters had been shaken onto our plants. Overall, the work felt sloppy and careless, falling well short of the expectations set by someone with his claimed level of experience. We also observed similar quality issues in work he performed at our neighbor's home. On his final day, we sent a follow-up text expressing our disappointment for someone who prides himself on his reputation. That message was ignored. Oh yeah, and he broke our computer monitor.

Hi Radi, As your response suggests, I had an interaction with two of your employees. And it does not take a contract to have an interaction. We met with Radi from Repipe On Time and immediately felt comfortable. He was knowledgeable, honest, and took the time to answer all of our questions without any pressure. We did get another quote, but after comparing our options, we felt the most confident moving forward with Radi and his team, and we're so glad we did. They completed a full house repipe, installed a new water heater, and a whole-house filtration system in just three days. We were even able to stay in our home the entire time because they made sure our water was back on every evening, which made the process much easier than we expected. A huge thank you to Rudy and Alex, who handled the work. They were professional, friendly, communicative, and treated our home with great care. It's amazing how much they accomplished in such a short time. Even though they had to open several walls for the repipe, the drywall and texture repairs were so well done that you can hardly tell they were ever there. They also did an excellent job cleaning up. From start to finish, everyone at Repipe On Time exceeded our expectations. If you're considering a whole-house repipe or any plumbing project, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Five stars all the way! Thank you so much, Rudy, Alex, and Radi!
