For this merry store has it all. Homeward section is enormous and boasts almost anything you could wish to find. Shame there's not one in East London- seems to have all the little houseybasics that I'm bound to forget I need (a dish drying rack, laundry bin etc) Definitely recommend for cheap and cheerful homeward purchases, not necessarily incredible quality but enough that it doesn't fall apart the minute you get home!

I never really went shopping here because, while it has a fair number of shops, it never really has anything that you want or need. Guess that could be just me. The cinema is where I spent most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and watching some films after school. The cinema is average price with student discount and with your standard of sugary rubbish to enjoy while watching a film. The cinema screens themselves are good, the Digital screen is awesome, but the chairs and leg room leave something to be desired. It can get quite uncomfortable if you're a tall and are in a packed screening, but this rarely happens here, which is a other bonus. All in all a good place to while a way a fair number of hours with friends or that special someone.

Although it looks huge it takes hardly any time to go around and has nothing to recommend it in the way of differnt shops. They are the same as any high street. A large open area in the centre was laid out as a furniture vendoes. The stuff was ugly..even tasteless..and overpriced. Quite a few restaurants..untried but mostly the usual chains. The only saving grace, for me, was a pleasant cinema complex where we went to see Stardust. So much anticipation..such a disappointment.

This store sells discounted NEXT clothes, normally out of season or ex sale items…read more Unfortunately what is on offer is a bit hit and miss and does require some rummaging and can be quite limited. You can't really go there with a certain product in mind as you would come away disappointed. If you go with an open mind and are happy to look for bargains then this would be OK. Unfortunately the store doesn't have any changing rooms and there are signs up asking you not to try on clothes in the middle of the store. The other negative point is that they don't give monetary refunds if you return things that don't fit and you are given a credit note instead.

The shop looks very colourful and good selection in different colours and all set out very well. There is all the basic stuff like cheap dishes, ugly keychains..everything you would expect. What is interesting about this place is that there is an Internet cafe upstairs. I found this rather interesting ,catering to the Pound shop market so much. A good idea, all around. One really good bit I almost missed...this shop has a pretty small soap section but they have Schwarzkopf mousse for 1 pound. I use it for the front of my hair.

Perfect for basic things like shampoo and conditioner, they do some of the more expensive brands for much less than it's competitors (Boots/Superdrug- I picked up some John Frieda conditioner for 5 quid less than the same product at Boots) It's truly a jungle of inexpensive goodies and i'd definitely recommend going here for gifts- they have bath and beauty sets on offer and lots of perfume that looks far more expensive than it is. The staff were really helpful and friendly and had a really human quality about them- YES we actually had a real conversation (maybe a normal thing outside of London but still took me off guard). Our cashier was mega-efficient and really knew about the products he was selling as well as their place in the store. A cheap lovely version of Heaven for bargain-hunters!

Asda is pretty much the only reason to visit the town centre in Hatfield these days. I have seen…read morethis store go through many changes over the years and now it is a good store to visit. The shelves are always well stocked and there is a good range of branded items as well as asda own. The clothing range is great especially for childrens clothing. The home section is great too. i did prefer the clothing sections before the recent changes to the store, I'm not sure they stock as much now as they did. The self service petrol is always the cheapest in town and there is rarely if ever a queue so is really convenient.

Hatfield branch Paying by cash is getting more and more…read moredifficult at Tesco, Hatfield. You can either pay cash at the check out counter or in the self checkout basket section which might be 3, 4 or 5 tiles. This changes all the time - apparently the tiles have 'problems' according to one of the staff. Customers are being asked to use the self scan service which works well if you pay by card. If you pay cash then you must queue - WHY. The customer is already doing everything and gets penalised because they pay cash. TESCO wake up to the real world, not everyone has a card !!!!!

The Peace Hospice…read moreShop formerly SW Herts Peace Hospice is one of the many ways that the Hospice raises money in order to give the in/out patient care free of charge to the patients and their families. It has been my pleasure and misfortune to know many patients over the years of the Hospice, and now have family in their inpatient unit. I cannot believe in 20 years this store is flourishing with great items donated by the people of Radlett and the surrounding areas. In the last 14 years of my departure from England the Hospice shop and the volunteers (some I still remember fondly) who are still there run the store as cleanly and pleasantly as the legacy we worked hard to bring. This is not your average charity shop. Featured in an early episode of Little Britain this is a must for anyone visiting Radlett if you can brave the parking.

There are some excellent bargains in here and I do pop in from time to time. It's like a UK vision of Target in the US now - lots of very high-quality merchandise at not unreasonable prices. The cafe here is particularly nice. We had snacks on the first occasion and a bigger meal on the second. A great selection of choices, all served very swiftly by extremely helpful staff. (The peculiarly British quirk of being unable to swap out one side dish for another was a problem on one occasion -- "No, I'm sorry, the manager won't let us do that" is about as useless a response as "Yeah, we don't seem to care what you want; you should have what we've got and be happy!' -- but I'll forgive that because their coffee was actually drinkable, unlike most department store cafes.)
