Stopped Past TKK Fried Chicken on a random Saturday. I ordered the spicy three piece, and chicken tenders with curly fries for my little one. They were seasoned and fried to perfection! Our teas were also very delicious. The only downside is that they don't offer a kids meal so we did end up with leftovers which my kid isn't too crazy about heating up fast food/takeout. KFT has a number of perks if you download the app, so I came by for a couple of drinks on several occasions. Bubble tea is pretty standard here, KFT uses milk powder for the milk teas but I appreciate that they have lactose free milk options called the WOW series. My first visit I came around 8PM and the boba wasn't cooked right, hardened from maybe sitting out for a while? 2nd and 3rd visit a bit earlier in the evening the boba was cooked ok. Not consistent, I like them cooked a lil soft. I tried their TKK Fried chicken thighs "Crispy Mild" and didn't taste any spicy heat. The chicken is pretty crispy, came out piping hot but I had to wait over 15-20 minutes for it to be ready... I asked why it was taking so long and the staff person said it's because they "make it fresh". I think the chicken is kinda pricey though, 2 thighs for $5 and their combo meals, sandwiches, etc are definitely pricier than similar style Chick-fil-A or KFC. I didn't like that they charge $0.25 extra if you want some dipping sauce for the chicken. read more

Man the number of times I had wished there was a Kung Fu tea in Baltimore city....my wish has finally come true! I stopped by to grab a grapefruit yogurt tea with aloe and to try the TKK fried chicken. The grapefruit yogurt tea was a little watered down compared to other drinks I've gotten from other locatinos. I got TKK wings, which were freshly fried. I was impressed with how crispy and juicy the chicken was. It was well seasoned with salt, but I do wish it was seasoned like Taiwanese fried chicken. Although my arteries probably can't handle frequent fried chicken trips, I am jealous of all the undergrads and students at the JHU campus who are so close to this location. read more

Now I have been walking past this place for months, never went in. It wasn't until I was leaving a nearby brewery that my friends said they wanted TKK Fried Chicken. I opted to try the 6 piece with 2 sides, mashed potatoes and corn. I will say this, the chicken was nice and hot and crispy, their sides was really good. Now I didn't get a chance to eat all 6 pieces that night, so I saved some for the next day, the chicken is really good the initial day, anything after that it's ok. FINALLY! I always have a craving for milk tea and to have a KFT open up in the neighborhood is dangerous for my wallet. My go-to is always the Jasmine Green Milk Tea, No Ice, and 30% sugar. I don't particularly have a large sweet tooth so 30% is oftentimes more than enough sweetness. Anything above that simply overpowers the tea taste. If you are in a rush, I would recommend ordering ahead of time through the app to avoid the wait during rush hour and it helps you build up rewards if you are a frequent bubble tea drinker. read more

I arrived 5 minutes early for a mobile order of a milk tea and a slush. The line was super long and the store was very busy. I saw my order no where on the counter, so I waited patiently for the line to die down. 2 minutes after my scheduled pickup time, I asked politely if my order was ready. The cashier pulled it out from around the corner and shoved my now melted slush in front of me. I explained that I was waiting patiently and was not helped. I asked if she could make the slush again, and she angrily threw it into the garbage and got to work making my slush. I sat back down and then overheard she and another employee talking about me angrily while making my drink. I was going to ignore it until the one man called me a PANDEJO. That's when I lost my cool and walked to the counter for an apology. Both refused to apologize until I said I would call corporate. The cashier looked at me, sarcastically said, "I'm sorry. sir. Have a nice day" before angrily shoving my order in front of me and walking away. I will NEVER go back to this location and am so disappointed. I have been to many other locations and have been so impressed with the service and product. Customers should NEVER be treated this way. YES!! I can't believe there is finally a Kung Fu Tea at the JHU Homewood campus. Bubble tea is my go-to snack at all times of the day, and I will be visiting this place often. What's even better is that this KFT has partnered with TKK Fried Chicken, a Taiwanese chain of fried chicken restaurants headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan that just recently came to the US. That means you can get delicious fried chicken alongside KFT drinks!! I came on a Friday evening to order dinner for take-out. Things were pretty COVID-safe, with a plastic shield between the workers and customers, contactless payment, and signs at each table asking people to wear masks in the store. We ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, spicy crunchy tenders with sweet chilli sauce, and TKK famous fried chicken. One bite of their spicy hot chicken sandwich and I was floored...so juicy and flavorful!! Also, I was surprised by how the breading was nice and thin yet crispy (they say they only do a single layer of breading fried in pure soybean oil to preserve juiciness). Each combo comes with a side dish of your choice and a biscuit, definitely enough food for a whole dinner meal. Sauces are $0.25 extra and lots of options here: tangy honey mustard, spicy buffalo, classic ranch, sweet chilli, and smokey BBQ. I had a hankering for tea and came across this spot near JHU. The smell of the chicken was divine, but I resisted and chose a Thai milk tea with boba. I thoroughly enjoyed it on a warmer day. The place has a giant menu with drinks made-to-order. You can choose your own level of sweetness and ice content. There are definite undergrad vibes in the restaurant which is staffed with what I presume are college kids. They were are efficient and courteous. And no, my hand isn't huge; the drinks are a bit small for the price which is my only gripe. read more

Place looks small on the outside but surprisingly spacious inside. It's a nice, cozy place to sit and relax as you eat/drink. Workers are kind and accommodating. In prior visits, I ordered the 3 pc chicken, and the portions were large and delicious. Their iconic Kung Fu Milk Tea seems like their best drink so far, refreshing and with the perfect amount of sweetness. The oolong milk tea has a weak flavor. The taro milk tea feels less of a taro drink as it reminds me of some yogurt. The mango green tea doesn't have much distinct mango flavor. Overall, the drinks aren't great, especially compared to boba/bubble tea in SoCal, but they're still satisfactory whenever I get a craving for milk tea. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. So many things went wrong here. Judging by the pictures we just knew we were in for a treat and would be ordering the best fried chicken ever. We ordered a 3pc and a 2pc. The sides were curly fries, coleslaw and mash potatoes. None of the sides tasted good. None of them. The fries were cold and soggy (they actually forgot to give them to us and we had to go back for it so imagine how much more disappointed we were). The chicken was oily and undercooked it's pink in the middle. To make matters worse everything was salty. This was the worse chicken I've ever had and I went to a place that gave me food poisoning. Decided to try out this spot last Friday to try some of their chicken and kwa kwa bao, alongside the almond milk tea drink. I ordered sweet potato fries as a side as well. The white meat chicken spicy was seasoned well. The sweet potato fries were very disappointing, and almost had no seasoning or flavor to it. The kwa kwa bao was okay, not great.
