Having moved back to Dallas from living in Austin for many years, I had always missed going to a…read morequirky, cozy divey-feeling bar or restaurant. The moment we walked in the decor really catches your eye and there is a small stage on the right. The bar has cute light fixtures over it and there are coin pool tables with pink and purple felt. The seating varies from sofas to chairs to bar stools inside. Outside they have a patio that extends beyond what you might expect. In other words it is massive! There is also another stage out there and the ambience is very cool. It almost feels like a brewery with tons of picnic table seating and open air for the smokers who want to smoke and socialize. The service was great, the drink selection was good, and the inside/outside hang out space was really just the best. The only downside that I can think of for this place is maybe that they don't have that much parking space? I mean that's me trying hard to come up with some flaw about this place! Come check them out, period. You won't regret it!

So I prefer to sit outside with a group of friends. There is also a foosball table in pool table inside. Drinks are pretty well priced and affordable. I also tried the food from the left part of the building and got a burger and it was good. Service is pretty good overall.

Food is amazing, best veggie burger in town, the lentil soup is perfect! Recently tried the chicken sliders (too damn delicious) to try something new - at my daughter's request - that is how long I have been coming back, long enough to become a mom, raise her up and take her to the best dining spots :) I highly recommend the black widow, it is my go to daytime sip if we stop in for lunch, daughter recommends the Shirley Temple, says "they do it right." During the day and early evening this is easily a family friendly spot, we often see babies. But never may kids to make you regret stopping in, it is relaxing and fun. Drinks are amazing, the entire food menu is phenomenal - you can't go wrong. ***I do miss the old cheese board set up, but I get that change has to happen and we love you just the same Old Monk. This place is a must try if you are a tourist, and if you a local, why are you not a regular already?

We are committed to coming back tomorrow for the fish&chips. Total dive bar pricing but phenomenal atmosphere. Not the sleezy kind, although we enjoy those too at times. J is an incredible bartender and has attention to detail down packed! He is a great mixologist so test him with a cocktail and he will blow your mind! We come all the way from Arlington for the prices, food, drinks...but mostly for the staff. Truly an amazing crew!

On a nice day, it's easy to imagine settling in with friends for a few beers and staying awhile. We shared the steak chimichurri nachos and tried three beers we don't usually find outside the brewery: Red Gate, Gold Flash, and Wise Monkeys. The food and drinks were excellent. The place got incredibly busy while we were there, but the atmosphere stayed lively and welcoming. It's family friendly, and pets are welcome on the patio. We'd definitely come back!

This was my first time actually trying the food, and I was so impressed. My friend and I both ordered the Salmon Bowl with garlic aioli sauce--it was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and super filling! My husband took advantage of their Taco Tuesday special and really enjoyed his tacos. While he felt the rice and beans were a bit on the bland side, the tacos more than made up for it. To top it all off, the beer was nice and ice-cold, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We had a fantastic night catching up and can't wait for our next visit!

They have a nice relaxed space and awesome pizza!…read more The outdoor area has covered and open tables which was really nice to have some options. It also made it easy for my 2 year old to run around a little. The beer was tasty but I was shocked how good the pizza was. I usually am not a big pizza fan but this really hit the spot. The crust was so soft and perfectly chewy and all the toppings so flavorful. The tater kegs were also so delicious and cheesy.

It is a beautiful brewery, with amazing brick walls and concrete floors that give the place a bit of an old time industrial feel. The staff here is really upbeat and friendly, and really work hard to make your visit a good one. The menu here is a simple one. One that makes me think about when I watch a Gordon Ramsey show and he tells restauranteurs the are trying to do too much and to simplify their menu. This menu is simple...Cheese Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Fingers with Fries, Chicken Wings, or Caesar Salad. There is no criticizing these guys for over-complicating things, lol! We ordered Chicken Fingers and a Pepperoni Pizza. Both were better than I anticipated and way beyond the "bar food" stigma so many of these types of places have. Seriously, I would order them both again!
