Had a huge beer fan, but this place was really fun and had lots of space for all types of groups. Decided to go upstairs after we had ordered our beers. Employees were really nice and allowing us to try a different kinds before we ordered. I ended up getting the Duke, which was pretty sweet. Still not the biggest fan of beer and would prefer cider, but this one was not too bad. Upstairs they had games like foosball, and ping-pong. Downstairs there is a lot of benches and tables with board games and one of the corners. His place is really really big and perfect for a private event or a large party. We had seen that the upstairs was reserved from 7 PM until late night. Will definitely come back for a huge event. As suggested, we stopped at Peticolas Brewing, we had the Sit Down Imperial IPA...wow! Get a room or plan a nice long walk before getting in the car. Very tasty and literally hit the spot! Nice place, ping pong table, foosball and various other games to keep you entertained. The bartender was very informative and overall a nice locals hang out. If I lived in the area I'd be a regular here. Food truck outside and plenty of parking around the area. I've tried this place a couple times, most recently for one of their social 5K runs. For $30 you get 3 beers (to-go option as well), 2 tacos ($4 each), and some great exercise. I tried the "Hive Dive" and the "Don't Think it Won't Happen." Both were tasty. I preferred the "Don't Think it Won't Happen." I also took home a "Velvet Hammer." The staff are very friendly. Peticolas IMHO has always been that hidden gem of breweries in Dallas. If I had a favorite brewery or beer, it would be Peticolas. They have a beer for everyone. And I have never found a single one to be bad in any way. Peticolas is constantly coming out with new beers every month, along with their constant staples, which I personally love. I always bring anyone new to Dallas to Peticolas. I always try to have some Peticolas beer (Velvet Hammer, Sit Down, Opportunity, ...) in my fridge. All beers I rate 10/10, and there are quite a few. This was a fantastic space! The venue is spacious with plenty of seating and some fun games upstairs. The customer service was awesome and we got great recommendations from the bartender. The beer selection was diverse and everything we tried was really delicious. They have a nice selection of beers to go and a lot of merchandise. My understanding is that the beer is not available outside the venue, which sadly means future visits! That's not a sad thought actually. It's worth the drive. read more

This place is an institution. One of my favorite stories to tell people is that the first day my wife and I moved to Dallas from California, a rep from Peticolas let me try some velvet hammer for free and take it home... and this was in the before times when you could only get beer home in a growler! So for someone just out of college and just getting their start in a hot hot apartment, having a growler of velvet hammer and no furniture but making it work is a very special special memory to me. I go out of my way to get their beer whenever I can, especially at Torchys! I've run their 5K twice, and it's a super fun event with an excellent vibe and excellent swag. I had the honor of meeting the founder at an event at Alamo Drafthouse, and getting to tell him my story and he seems like a totally great dude! Peticolas is a hidden gem near downtown Dallas. They basically have 3 levels with seating and when we cool down a great garage door opens to hang out and people watch as they come through the door. I went against my usual The Duke to try something new. I had the Alfred Brown. It was rich, and nutty and increased with flavor as it warmed in my hands. I have high hopes that Skaters State of Mind will be on the tap list as a staple. Go and have a glass and take some home! read more

From the atmosphere, which include 2 levels of fun (on my visit), consisting of live music, games, including video game console areas, foos ball, shuffleboard, and ping pong and a fun crowd, you're bound to enjoy yourself here. The servers were super friendly, and the beer, top notch with some super catchy names. I only had time for a Golden Opportunity kolsch and a Royal Scandal (English Pale Ale) but both were delicious. Peticolas hosted an event my colleague and I had in their loft game room - and it was the absolutely perfect spot for a fun business oriented networking party! Travis and the staff were absolutely invaluable to helping our event go smoothly - and the beer was a big hit with the crowd. The favorite seemed to be Golden Opportunity, although Long Distance Relationship was another winner. Known about the beer for a while. A friend moved to the neighborhood and we decided to visit his new place, and the brewery. It strikes me as an odd location. I know they hold a couple of 5K races here, but I'm not to crazy about the area to run, unless somehow there is access to a trail along the nearby river, assuming there is a trail. Brewery is a nice setup. Not very big. Did not see much of an outdoor area, so maybe I missed it. It was a rainy Wednesday, so we didn't really look. There's an upstairs area with (I think) ping pong tables. Also the typical collection of box games. Peticolas has a good collection of tasty beers. I like the darker ones quite a bit. Also seems to be a lot of unique offerings too. Friendly staff. Nice gift shop. Bottom line: Definitely worth a visit, especially if you like beer. read more

Had an awesome first time at Peticolas last night with some friends. The brewery had an adult game night with tons of fun games and of course delicious craft beer! Peticolas is located in the reviving market district area surrounded by new and local restaurants, businesses, and warehouses. Upon entering Peticolas you are greeted by the beautifully wood wrapped stairs and floor. The stairs open up to their medium sized bar area with open air seating on the left side and closed seating on the right side. There is tons of room to spread out, have a meet up, and just relax and have a few beers. And the beers are delicious! I am not a huge beer drinker, but the peach ale and the don't call it a cola were my jam! The peach ale was very light and refreshing and at 12% ABV is stronger than you think--but so easy to have one or two, okay maybe three. The don't call it a cola was a dark beer with a nice hint of vanilla. Unfortunately they do not have food on site, but you are welcome to bring in your own. The staff are super nice as well and allow you to try various beers and they are just gracious hosts. I definitely would come back to Peticolas for their beer and for some games; and of course the amazing customer service! I felt like I was at home! read more

I travel for work and always try to hit at least one local brewery in each city. Peticolas remains one of my favorites anywhere. Laidback spot and great customer service, always a great food popup. I have always been a fan of Peticolas beers and now I am a fan of the taproom as well. We arrived about 15 minutes before they opened and when they saw us waiting they ushered us in early! The first level has their merch area, a fridge with sodas and beer to go choices, a large selection of board games, and tables to relax and play at. The next level has the bar- 17 beers on tap, I think and more seating. The third level has a ping pong table, shuffleboard and Foosball. It is a really neat place. They don't serve food but encourage you to bring food in. The staff were all great and very friendly. And the beer? Excellent! I had a couple of IPAs(cask Dr's Order's and Pineapple Sit Down) a Brown(Ghost of Alfred Brown brewed with ghost peppers) and a Cherry vanilla Imperial stout(Worth the Wait). None disappointed- I have enjoyed every beer I have ever had from Peticolas. I will be making a return visit in the very near futute! read more
