When he finally showed up, he didn't have any helpers. He dropped limbs on other small trees without any concern for damage. I had to help clean up the branches because he doesn't have employees. Couldn't get him to stay on the job more than 4 hours at a time so it took several days to finish. He never returned to do the clean out on the two trees that I paid extra for. I personally think trees add a ton of beauty and value to a neighborhood and I wanted to take good care of the ones at our home. We had purchased our home a few years ago and wanted to get our many Ponderosa Pines checked out as it had appeared they had not been trimmed. There were clearly a few dead trees and some unsightly dead branches, but we didn't want to remove anything unnecessarily (and we didn't want to get scammed into paying for perfectly healthy trees to be taken out). Enter Windham Woodworks.... two local arborists, who clearly love trees came out to my house and gave me an incredible maintenance quote. They came on time, took care of the trees (performing highly technical work), and were pleasant to have around! I personally am really happy to pay someone else to climb up into a shaky tree and make sure it comes down without taking out my neighbor's rad playhouse! They also were able to educate me on some of the native plants in my garden (one of which I didn't know was edible!). PS. We saved a little money on our quote by having doing the majority of the cleanup from the project (instead of the professionals hauling wood, we had them leave it for us to use in our firepit and hugelkultur beds).
