I received a text a short time later saying he didn't have time in his schedule? How could he not have any time when we didn't agree to any timeline? Written quotes with the expectations on a job are to protect both the home owner and contractor. Companies that won't give a written quote, in my opinion are shady and the customer won't have any recourse if the job is not done correctly.

They were responsive and punctual. Michael showed up on time to give an estimate and provided a quote with 3 days. I was stood up and did not receive so much as a phone call from 2 other companies. 2. Prompt and professional customer service. Whenever I sent an email, my questions were promptly answered. 3. Their bid was fair and reasonable. I received in total 3 bids and the one that was like for like as far as material, installation, and time, was significantly incomplete compared to Michael's, so I went with K2. 4. The work was done and completed to my satisfaction, in spite of winter weather challenges, and I appreciate that more than anything. We sought a new fence to keep our pup safe but not detract from the neighborhood beauty. We decided to go with a pressure treated posts hog wire fence. I have a high standard when it comes to completed work. I want it to look good and be aesthetically pleasing top to bottom. That was accomplished with K2. Let me highlight what made this process so enjoyable: * Great design work by Kris Krohn and project management by Dann Van Hook; they did a great job listening to us and coming up with a solid plan. When I had questions, they were quick to respond and find answers. * Hard workers; team of three showed up right after July 4th and were committed to us for about the next 6 weeks. We were their sole job; they weren't jumping back and forth between us and other projects which was tremendous. The team consistently rolled in around 7 am and worked full days to get the job done in a very timely manner. * Genuinely good people working on the job - we had the same team for basically the whole job. Great guys, all friendly and very helpful. Seth Kernodle led the team on the job site and really kept things moving along in a professional manner. One time I was moving furniture off the patio for another contractor and when I came back around the corner, all three individuals had stopped what they were doing and were instead helping me move the remaining furniture. It's hard to find that caliber of a team these days. * Great design was made better by Seth's implementation of new ideas on the fly. He continually looked for ways to make improvements; a little extra rock or dirt became something new and exciting in the plan as it came to life. Alderwood's dynamic approach to implementing the design in real time was tremendous. * Attention to detail/dedication to their craft; we have some large rock retaining walls and we are always getting compliments on them. These are not your basic stacked stone/quick walls. These were carefully crafted with meticulous attention to detail. This attention to detail was repeated all throughout the project.
