Our cat Bella had climbed 60ft up a cedar tree and would not come down after 3 1/2 days in the tree in freezing temperatures, rain, and snow. After a cat rescue service from Spokane came out and assessed that he could not get close enough due to the tree being too small at the top, then calling the fire department to give them a chuckle, we reached out to Don. He came the next day with his boom truck and operator and they got her down in less than 30 minutes from arriving without damaging the surrounding trees. Our daughter is grateful and he was fair on the cost for their time with the right equipment, even though cat rescues are not a listed service. It was a sad occasion that one of our tall trees was dying from the top down. We didn't have any experience with hiring this kind of work so we asked at a nursery. They didn't have a recommendation for me but did mention a couple names and said they hear Don Taylor mentioned as the best but not necessarily the least expensive. Friday 5:45pm I finally find my crying cat 35ft up a pine tree deep on my property!! After calling the FD and every arborist in CDA I receive a call within 15 min from Don. He had one of his climbers at my house within the hour. Josh climbed over 70ft as my scared cat climbed!! Happy to say all ended well. So impressed with Don's response to my families attachment to our furry family member. They were the only arborist to respond even though one was still supposed to be within their posted business hours. I was not pleased with the work I recieved, he did not do as he said. He said property would look like he was never here. They left branches every where wood was not removed as he said it would be, he came back later and wanted to charge me more money. He did not take trees that we talked about his guys stood around half the time doing nothing. I do have a witness to what he told me. This man will say one thing and do totally something else.
