The people who work here are definitely lovely and very kind. But I cannot say the same thing about the quality of their manicures. If you're looking for bumpy uneven nail polish application then this is the place for you, otherwise I suggest you get a gel manicure or something else because regular manicures are definitely not their strong suit. read more

At first I sat in my chair writing the worst yelp review in my head but I soon realized that I had two options (see http://www.yelp.com/biz/cq-nails-calabasas#hrid:3RLnnOAT5oNV9_SYFLFS9g/src:self ) and this one was far better than the previous. Alright here are some of the deats. The woman I had spoke great english....just really softly. So softly that I would often have to say " Sorry, what?" "Oh, yes, file please." I did this a few times and then finally stopped trying. I kinda wished they weren't playing sports on tv, even a reality show would have been better than the replay of some college basketball game. This is a salon isn't it? The only part of salons I hate are the parts where you SWEAR they're talking about you in vietnamese, but realize you'll never know and just when you thought they were done snickering, they start again. This happened a lot..regardless of the sign on the door that says "Only English is Spoken Here." Anyways, I had to hand it to em. I went with two other girls who got manicures and my Mani/Pedi was done way before theirs. $30 for a mani/pedi isn't bad either. So although there were some quirks, I'm going to give it an A-Ok. read more

I have been coming here for a little over five months and have gotten my nails done every two weeks during that period so I have a pretty solid idea of the quality and people as I've encountered almost all the workers. All in all this place is horrible, I reiterate HORRID! The quality is never up to par, it tends to look like the same work I could have done and one better not even ask for designs, they'll botch it somehow. Today is the last day I go- mark my words. The edges of my nails always look crummy, the polish never covers my entire nail bed and sometimes while getting gel polish, I feel like my fingers are burning under the uv light. I'm disappointed because I live so close by but this only reminds me that I should simply do my nails myself...save money, time and embarrassment when people clown me for doing a poor job on myself only to let them know I actually paid for the shoddy work. read more

Tk Nails - Look at the edges, just look!! All kinds of horrible happening here... - Nail Salons Near Me - Calabasas, California

I really like this nail salon. I'm been here several times, with large gaps of time in between, and I have never left unhappy... I've gotten acrylics done here a couple times, and I can say this is my favorite place to have them done up. I barely ever got scraped by the spinning thing, and if I when I did, they would apply some kind of ointment or cream or something that makes the pain go away instantly. The tips were nice, clean and even... Which is a big deal to me. I just wish I had the money to maintain the upkeep.. So for now, just manicures for me. This last time, i just had a simple manicure with french tips.. The lady did a great job, and really she was nice... and she didn't stop to pick up her cell phone when it rang. THANK GOODNESS. I HATE when someone is working on my nails, and they pick up their phone and start gossiping away. Seriously, my number 1 pet peeve! Everyone who has ever helped me has spoken really good English, which is probably my favorite part about this salon, because I have trouble hearing through accents. I always feel bad, but I can't understand an accent unless I have them repeat what they say about 5 times.. and that is just embarrassing. But here, its easy to strike up a conversation. And as far as I noticed, there isn't too much side conversation between everyone who works there. They all seem to be very focused on whoever is sitting in front of them. Which is really all I ever want in a nail salon.. I love this place, I come back whenever I'm in the area. read more

Tina did SUCH incredible work on my nails!! I showed her a design of some mistletoe for Xmas and what she did on my nails was even prettier than the initial design! I love the perfect coffin shape and the matte pink background. Also very affordable and always so kind Update: 17 Days later and not a single chip or blemish!! Amazing read more

This salon is so close to my apartment complex so I really was hoping it was good. I went around noon on a Wednesday. The salon was much smaller than I was expecting. Thankfully it wasn't especially busy because if it was I think it would feel very cramped. The woman who did my nails was sweet, quiet and diligent. She really took her time to make sure that they looked just right and that I liked how they looked. The price was very comparable to what I pay at home in Orange County for a gel manicure. The only thing I did not like was that she watched over my shoulder as I was signing and tipping on the receipt. Overall it was a good experience with good results. I think I will be back! read more

I came here at the last-minute before leaving on a trip. They were fabulous and attentive to detail. Most of all, they were very kind and not annoyed when I smudged a finger nail - TWICE! I came in the next day, and they fixed it with such understanding and friendliness. (Usually, I can tell at other places when they are annoyed to re-polish.) Pricing is very reasonable. I am so glad I found it along my commute route; will be back! read more

My 14 year old daughter regularly gets her nails done in Northern California with me. This past Monday she needed a nail fixed while visiting her father in Calabasas. I cannot believe that any professional would think that this was the type of service to be proud of. I'm not the type to yelp. In fact this is my first review ever. It's really more to communicate to the owner so they may have a training opportunity. read more

I can't even believe this place is in business , came for a reg pedicure no polish nothing and it was awful lady was nice and pregnant so I felt bad gave a tip on top of the price but I'll never come back and ashamed this is what calabasas has to offer!!!! I started going to TK nails over 6 years ago and have always been pleased with just about every service. While not the swankiest place it's super clean and they do speak English! You have the option of a spa chair or regular foot bath pedicure ( unlike some please where you must use & pay for the spa chair). Walk in's are welcome and they're honest about the wait time. I've used coupons for other local salons to get a discount but never pleased enough to make a change. I love Anna & Kim.... read more

The worse service u have ever seen. They r not professional, clean or even capable to provide the min service. ALWAYS over book and end up running 30 mins behind and let me not get started about the service. They r dirty and not at all able to even give the decent mani or pedi. Save ur self and DO NOT go there. read more

Tk is in a convenient location, right next to Albertsons and across the lot from Starbucks. I stopped in spur of the moment, and they were able to seat me right away. I will say that it's a small space, so you'll definitely hear every conversation going on. The workers were all very nice though and also offer you a drink. Service-wise, I enjoyed my pedicure, but in retrospect, it's cheaper to just get your toes done without using the spa chair, which is an option. As with most salons, you'll be pressured to get both hands and feet done. I wasn't planning on getting a manicure, but figured $15 more wouldn't break my budget. The manicurist was sweet, but the job was a bit sloppy. The layers of polish weren't even and there were some missed spots on the nail. I did appreciate that they didn't rush me out the door though and encouraged me to just sit and relax for a bit. If you're in the area and don't have too many options, it's not bad, but there's definitely more affordable places 15-20 minutes away. read more

First time there and last time there. Besides a Mediocre spa pedicure and 2 manicures and a tip of $15 cash (remember this is tax free) the woman who took the tip, was upset at me because she thought $15 cash was too low Back to BGBG Calabasas for me! read more

I loved this place. Nancy was very friendly, courteous and efficient. It's quiet and clean and they took me right away to do both my gel pedicure and gel manicure. Decent prices and great service. I don't know why they don't have better ratings? read more

I went here for a pedicure and it was awful. My feet were in a legit bucket with a plastic bag. It's something I could have done at home.

They did the worse job ever on fillings acrylics ! Went there and got a fill, the lady didn't even do my nails straight I don't know how she managed to do that. She also didnt even paint the entire nail, she missed parts of the sides and had to tell her to do them. Needless to say I decided to give them a second chance. Worst idea ever. After two days, not one but THREE of my nails broke completely. Mind you I hardly use my hands at all and I get my acrylics filled down as short as the could possibly be. Finally after a week and a half went by and 5 more nails broke I had to get them filled again elsewhere. Apparently the reason why they all broke, according to the lady that filled them at the new place was because he made then thick by the cuticles and thin at the tips. This caused water to go under them and left me vulnerable to infection. Don't ever go here read more

Tina by far is the best, I've followed her for years. She does AMAZING toe art here are just a few designs she has done for me!!

Like another reviewer, I went in to get my gel polish removed. They put my fingertips in acetone for 10 mins.I asked why they didn't use cotton and foil and she said it was because they were busy and didn't have the time. She did trim and file my nails and got all the gel polish off. She also put a nail strengthener on my nails. I thought that was nice. I gave her a 20% tip to which I got a cold response. Not going back. read more

Thought I would give this place another chance after a bad experience 2 years ago. MY BAD. Still rude, overpriced, pushy liars. They beg for tips after they do a crappy job. I watched the technician only do one coat of polish and asked her why. She lied to my face and said she had done 2. Shame on me for thinking they could clean up their act. read more

They don't do powder dip properly at all and the gel always chips within a day or two. This being said, on all three occasions that this happened to me they fixed it. Sadly, even though they are super close to me I won't be going back. read more

I really wish I could give this place a better review. Although my manicurist (did I just make up a word) was sweet as can be, I really hate to say, that I could've done a better job at home (and I suck). My cuticles were not removed well. And the nail polish application was poorly done. Also, some of my toes are missing the top coat. Pretty shitty for $35. I'd give this place a one star, but the lady was so friendly that I bumped up a star. read more

It sucks that Calabasas doesn't have quality nail shops. This place is not that great. I guess with any place you go to it depends on the person that is performing the service. When the guy was doing my nails I told him my middle finger nail was about to crack (i saw the crack before leaving) he assured me it wouldn't and to come back if it did. Heres my thing, do it righ the first time. People dont have time to come back when it can be fixed. I came back and he was looking at me crazy. No worries, I will get my repair somewhere else. Came in to buy a gift card and they made us pay in cash... in this day and age people don't always carry cash. My family has been coming to this salon for over 10 years and they've never demanded cash. I guess since they didn't recognize me, they tried to pull this crap. Their reasoning "day before Christmas, only cash." Good job, you took the cash I was going to use for donations. Would give zero stars for their unprofessionalism. read more

I have gone from Palmdale to West Covina and many cities in between to do my nails and I hated every place I went to. It is far from where I live but it's worth it having my nails last a month. Okay so honestly, every few weeks I get cracks or I find a divet/dip/hole/lumps in my fill, June is great but every few times she doesn't hit the mark ever so slightly. They do an excellent eyebrow wax and their prices can't be beat, so of course I stay loyal because they've had to remove all my acrylics and they didn't charge more than just the fill price to do it. Just remember to tip cash, they accept servic payments on your card but you cannot add the tip. I will continue to go even though my acrylics look funny every 3rd fill or so, but it is what it is, best price in town, gotta take the good with the bad. read more
