They are a disaster. I made an appointment for a Monday a week ago. Mgr called half an hour before my appointment to move me to a later time, l agreed. She called me three more times to change the time in one day and within one hour and then she called again to move me to the next day. They had all their staff, but got more walk ins who wanted gel bio$$ and mine was just a manicure and I was leaving the next day to Europe. The mgr is extremely manipulative. i don't even know where to begin. racism. i've been going here on and off a few months, i've forgiven the first time i visited here and i got a finger infection due to unsanitary nail files, bubbles in my manicures, crooked nail applications, you name it. i overlooked it all due to the fact this place is NEVER busy. well, today i learned there's a reason for that . i am a young woman and i have tipped the older lady SEVERAL times very well, often over 100%!!!, $20 on $10 services, $30-$40 on $30 services, and $100+ on $75 dollar services ! Well, today after my manicure was finished, they suddenly acted like they didn't take card payment, and when i didn't have cash it was a big deal, but they literally took cards from me before. I said i could go get cash they said ok fine. i said are you sure?? they're like yes it's fine. so, i assumed they remembered me from all the times before. which they DID, and they knew i was good for it and would be right back. so, i went next door to gelsons which had a bit of a line, to get cash back. less than 5-10 mins later, as i approach the nail salon with the cash, the lady who did my nails runs out the building saying 830! 830! and i'm like huh???? $75 is what they said when i was sent off to get cash, then she said no $85 for tip. (mind you i was ALREADY gonna tip her!!) then she stood there as i'm scuffling my pockets to count the cash out, and she counts behind me. whole time she's looking pissed. there was a middle aged white lady getting the red carpet rolled out to her while this was going on with me, and i was both shocked confused and hurt why the SAME lady i have always taken care of chose to be wildly accusatory of me when i simply did what THEY asked me to do. idk. today was the last straw. racist microaggression. i am young mixed woman of color, and i don't dress head to toe in overt designer, but i CLEARLY have money. they've literally seen that i do, because i routinely over tip, despite sub par service . I'm never coming back here again. trust me, i can go experience racism somewhere in calabasas for FREE. read more

I've been going to KT Nails for over 15 years and have always had a good experience until recently. Since the new management took over, appointments no longer seem to matter. The last two times I've had scheduled appointments, they've taken walk-ins right before I arrived and asked me to wait. Today, I showed up early for my 1:00 appointment and was told to come back in an hour after they seated multiple walk-ins. As a long-time client, it's really disappointing. I won't be back. Here is why: 1. My appointment was for 4:30. They were running late. A nail technician finally took me at 4:45. Only she wasn't ready to help me yet - she was still finishing up with another customer. This is truly unacceptable. 2. My nail technician's hands shook a lot. I tried to ignore it at first, but the shaking was bothering me so much that another technician had to take over the job. As a customer I should have been given a choice of whether I want to have my nails cut and colored by someone with a severe hand shaking condition. 3. They don't take credit cards. Cash, Venmo or Zelle only. I didn't enjoy my visit. There are many great salons in this area and this isn't one of them. read more

Tried this spot on a whim today, and am so happy I did! It's affordable, clean, and staff is friendly. I got a pedicure which was $25. This includes a massage, scrub, and hot towel. My technician was gentle, professional, and leg massage was very relaxing. Chairs are comfy too. I felt like they took their time with each step, and my pedi looks great. The only thing to note is that they don't have a lot of regular polish. If you want a trendy color- bring your own! Massive gel color selection though. read more

I've been here three times for basic mani pedis with fine results but I came back with the thought that as they knew me they would learn what I like. I'm going to a wedding with a pedicure I could have done myself. I've never been left feeling less valuable as a customer. The conversation was all about making a Zelle payment before they even started the work and then repeated requests to go to the atm or give them a cash tip when the WiFi was sketchy. This isn't my regular salon but I was in the area and desperately needed a pedicure. I didn't call ahead, and luckily the salon was fairly empty so I was seen right away. I usually bring my own polish for pedicures but they do have a nice variety available to use. My spa pedicure was very nice, the tech took his time to clean my nails and do the massage. He was very gentle, nice and offered me water. The pedicure came out very nice, unfortunately my nails broke so they're a bit shorter than I prefer. When I asked to pay I was told $22...it's really not a big deal but if that's the price then it should be changed on their menu to reflect the change. Terrible!!!!! I came in the guy told me 10 min ended up waiting almost 40 min!! Once I got seated and started they moved me to someone else. Then the guy didn't really seem to know what he was doing. I showed him a pic of the shape nail I wanted and he completed did them pointy and really not anything like the oicture I asked him to not make then as pointy and more almond and he tried but they came out like this lollllll!! This is not the first bad experioce I've had here but I def do not recommend. Even the gel was not applied correctly it was all of my finger!
