I don't usually leave bad reviews, but my experience at Nails 2000 in Calabasas was too disappointing not to share. Leanne rushed through my full set of acrylics in 20 minutes, which is the fastest--and worst--I've ever had. There was no cuticle prep, the acrylic was lumpy, the tips didn't fit right, and the nails were shaped crookedly. She didn't blend the edges at all, so they looked grown out immediately. She also left residue and powder all over my hands. The worst part? Several of the nails started popping off within just a few days, which has never happened to me before with a new set. Leanne kept mentioning how she was in a rush to get home and cook for a party, which explained the lack of care. She also made a comment about my weekend plans that felt judgmental and left me feeling uncomfortable. My friend got gel chrome French tips and was just as disappointed. Leanne admitted she didn't really know how to do them but still tried--and it showed. The result was bumpy and uneven polish that looked messy and rushed. We both felt pressured to tip, even though the service didn't meet basic expectations. I left feeling let down and embarrassed--especially since this was meant to be a birthday treat. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this salon and hope they take this feedback seriously. read more

If you come here expecting mediocre service and work, you won't be disappointed. The first time I came here, the lady who did my pedi did a pretty solid job. But today, this other young lady was rather lackadaisical and her work was pretty sloppy too (see attached photo). But I honestly don't care too much because no one is gonna zoom in on my feet and judge me for not having the perfect pedicure. I told them I didn't want gel polish on my toes. They refused to do a regular pedicure. Not sure why. But the polish was already chipped 30 min after leaving, so I'm not sure if it was even really gel, even tho I was charged for gel. Well this place is like any other basic nail place. I paid $30 for my gel nail manicure and $20 for a normal pedi and callus removal.. which by the photo, didn't work. So this is like my 4th time coming here. I thought I finally found my nail place even though it was out of my way from where I live. Idk if it's just my bad luck or what but this always happens to me to every nail place I go to. In the beginning they do such a good job and towards the end they become hella lazy and start rushing to finish up. I've been asking for a specific nail shape and at first I let it slide but this time I showed her a picture and she said "yea, yea I always do that shape", let me clarify she's done it once. I was so angry I wanted to cry. It's like really? I wanted a narrower shape and she gave me a round shape. Idk I mean I know they'll grow back but this isn't free either. I won't be coming back again. The picture with the red nails is what I got and the picture with the pink nails is what I asked for. I would not recommend to go here. I recently went one week ago for dip on my hands and regular pedicure. The woman helping me with my hands began to take off my previous dip gel with her finger nails causing my own finger nails so much pain because she did not soak them in acetone first. When I stopped her mid way and told her, she brushed me off and told me yes she would be but never did. She also did not clean my cuticles. As a result of her trying to take off my previous gel with her own finger nails she completely broke half of my natural nails (which were so long and strong before). After one week two of my fingers also began to chip. This has never happened to me with dip gel polish before at other nail salons. This type of polish usually lasts me up to 4 weeks with not a single chip but not after going here. I don't think the quality of their nail polish was good. I had been to Nails 2000 years ago out of convenience when my friends and I wanted last minute pedis in high school. Now that I am consistently getting my nails done as an adult, I've been seeing Leann and couldn't recommend her service more. Leann is so caring and kind, and will genuinely teach you about different kinds of nail services/styles that are healthy and recommended - varying from gel, powder, acrylic, etc. I can tell she cares for the finished product and makes sure her clients are comfortable and satisfied. Now that I have been coming every few weeks, I look forward to my time with Leann and am really happy with both the results of my mani/pedis when I go in! Tried this place out on a whim. They got me in right away, and Kim & Christine took great care of me. Christine recommended this incredible gel and I'm MIND BLOWN at how well it's lasted. She's also super funny and smart and has great stories. Kim is always SO patient with my color indecisions and always helps me find the perfect fit. She's gentle in her care and my pedicures have never lasted longer. Everyone is super nice, and they make sure I get in the books when it works for me. Kelly is awesome!! I came here as a walk-in one day, got lucky when she took me. She was super sweet from the begining, and i only went in for a polish change... long story short, she is awesome, i'm in LOVE! She is super sweet and great at doing my nails & pedicure! i get the "Gel" on my hands, only $15, thats a great price! She is super quick. I zip over on my lunch break and im in &out within 30mins, with time to still grab some lunch and be back at office before my hour is over. On friday nights i get my pedicures, so she has time to massage :) And they all are great at massages, there is always a client falling asleep in the chair as their getting their shoulders rubbed... I tried this spot for the first time this week. Everything was fine, and the price was bit better than the place I usually would go. I did like that they were very quick with their gel manicure and the pedicure because I usually go crazy if I sit longer than an hour. But do remember, with a quick manicure, some details are lost. I'm also really picky about my nails, cuticles, etc. I docked a point because they weren't as meticulous about those details. All in all, if I was in a rush or needed to get in an out, I would definitely go back. The ladies were also friendly, and they had a great selection of gel colors. The WORST customer service and management skills I have experienced at a nail salon. To say the least, the person I had this encounter with was the MANAGER. I went to get my nails done on a Friday evening and have NEVER had such a horrible experience with a "manager". I am about to go on vacation and decided to get a really pretty design on my nails. Prior to starting my nails, I asked how much for the design and my technician who I love and have been going to for some time now told me it would be $20 extra for design. I said ok. Fast forward, I am about 5 min from being done with my nails and leaving the salon when the manager Leanne tells me that it's going to cost me $10 more. She proceeded to get upset and tell me that normally she would charge double but that she will only charge me $30 instead. She told this to me at the END of me getting my nails done and told me that she didn't see the photo and so because of her lack of proper management of her employees now I have to pay an extra $10 for her error. I will NEVER be going back to her salon because of the lack of customer service and professionalism. The worst management skills I have experienced at a nail salon. i have been coming to this nail salon for 7+ years and all of a sudden some women decided to get her nails done by nail 2000, no big deal...until it was. the only reason i wanted to leave this comment is because these nail techs DID NOT deserve what this women had said or done to them. she only embarrassed not only herself but her friend, and yeah i would feel absolutely horrible about myself to if that's what's you call your so called "friend". long story short this women was absolutely disgusting and disrespectful, after she legit grabbed the nail tools from the nail techs hands and started to do her own pedicure (and when i say i wish i got a photo of this girls nasty toe nails, i mean you all would have been scared). after her making her disgusting presence known, she came back in two minutes later to tell them that they overcharged her, even though the prices were the normal rate...honestly so flabbergasted how people even act like this. read more

I play guitar and get 3 fingers + thumb acrylics/dip every few weeks for past 30 years. Had to do my own for past 2 + months due to covid-19. I asked to have my old ones removed (with acetone) and replaced (normal procedure for acrylics. She did not leave the acetone on long enough nor sand them down enough to remove the old acrylics. She put acrylics/dip on without doing a thorough job removing old ones, hence my nails are two-tone (cloudy and white, and (2 nails) disintegrating within 3 days, see pics ... She took the shine off but was not thorough, hence my nails are partially shiny and partially not. The look horrible. Pictures attached. I will not return nor do I recommend. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for years and I have always loved my nails!!!! I ask for my favorite lady, LEANN because she's an expert and works with me. I like to keep my nails pretty and manicured so it's really important for me to have ones that last for at least 2 wks. Get the gel manicure because it lasts for 2-4wks. If I'm on vacation and doing absolutely nothing (nice right??) then it lasts for a whole month! I saw that there's also a whole array of other nail designs such as hologram, foil art, and chrome ...so maybe I'll try something new for summer. Tip: if you're in a rush, they will fit you in, but it's a hit and miss bc everyone has a different style. I always try to make an appt. read more
