Customer Service is horrible... I have been there when they are packed and today was not that day... Went in for them to fix/get SNS nail that broke (and was done there). Was told it would be a long time until someone could get to me and she said to come back at 4:30. I could not do that and ask how long the wait would be and she would not say. She said just come back tomorrow which I couldn't do because it's a work day and have a child to get after work. I left and as I looked up other salons to just start over I saw others walk in and were not told to leave because they stayed. Rude and nasty received gel polish on Saturday and Sunday they were all chipped went in and asked to fix issues and they were rude

I usually go to this salon often, gotten my eyebrows done there and usually pedicures, but the one time I came in to do SNS dip I had a bad experience. I got it done on a Sunday... by wed the some of my nails were looking like it was about to crack as shown in the pictures below, so I decided to come back that Thursday because of me being stuck in traffic I wasn't going to make it back to their salon in time, when I came in I showed the receptionist my fingers it was at least 3 or 4 fingers, they tried to tell me that Its 3 full business days that I have to come in and get it fixed for free, to see if its my mistake or their error, I don't work a heavy labor or heavy duty job and SNS should last at least 2-3 weeks!! I think the tec on Sunday just made it too thick she also left so much powder and residue on my fingers and side of nail, and told me water will make it come off, it did not for a few days! not sure what happened but now one completely chipped off and this is after I went in to get my nails re fixed!! After all that they legit charged me $10! Not sure if they are using old products or cheap dipping products but it legit made me confused I had to pay to get it fixed when clearly the product wasn't good, not sure if ill ever get my hands done there again maybe stick to pedicure and eyebrows but really disappointed wasn't even a full week before nails look like spiderwebs fully cracking read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I've been coming regularly since last November. But recently I got a dip. The guy that did them didn't know what he was doing. It took him 2 hours and my nails were still a hot mess. First of all, he cut my nails off which I didn't want. So now he has to put on tips. Then he puts the wrong color on. So now I have to choose a different color than I wanted because of his 2nd mistake. Then another girl came to do my other hand. He then proceeds to take off what she had done. WTH? I asked him not to but he said he had to. He kept dipping a few of the nails over and over in the dip powder. He missed one of my thumbs that the other girl did but then came back and tried to dip it more. It had already been dipped in color 3x. I told him not to dip it again. He said yes yes. I said DO NOT DIP IT AGAIN! Some nails are so thick. Then he messed up the top coat and there are bubbles on just about every finger. I was charged extra for the tips. I asked why I have to pay extra for his mistake. They didn't care. Still made me pay. The next day I came back to complain. My nails are looking so horrible. They still didn't care until I raised my voice. Then they asked me to go outside. Outside I was told to come back the next Tuesday or Wednesday and they would fix the top coat. Then the next time I come they would give me a discount. Well. I work in healthcare. I can't just come when it's convenient for them. So my nails weren't fixed. This customer service was just unacceptable. I had to pay extra. I had to wait 2 hours for this guy to do work. I had a color I didn't want. I had uneven, bumpy thick nails. What I would've liked is for them to redo my nails the right way. They wouldn't do that. They made mistakes but wouldn't make it right. That's all I wanted was for them to make it right. Most expensive nail place I have ever been to. They did my nails while I was getting my pedicure and with two people working on me at once not relaxing. They did not coordinate and were both pulling me different directions. The gel light almost fell on me multiple times. I'm surprised I didn't burn my hand. They then upsold my pedicure halfway through not providing all the parts and making the manicure more expensive because it was not part of the combo. They then overcharged me by $10. read more

I was there 3 weeks ago & because it was July 3 they decided to close early (normal close time 7:30). I got there at 4pm, had to wait 15 minutes so settled in for pedicure & SNS at 4:15. They closed at 5pm that day (no time posted on door as to what time they were closing). I was the last person that day. They were so eager to get rid of me that the person doing my SNS didn't cut my nails down as requested & put gel on top instead of clear polish to get me out quickly. Both ladies were beyond tentative, knowledgeable and professional. Finding good technicians that would have your nails's back can be as hard as finding the perfect cream to your coffee (trust me on this). I have been coming to TK Nail Bar for about 3 months now consistently getting a pedicure with a nail dip for my nails. When I first came I did realize the prices were expensive to say the least but I have been on a straight mission to pamper myself being a working mom! I never minded that they teamed up to give me faster service seems how I have a busy life style. But what disappointed me today was that I went in and had a simple conversation of how my last nail dip had pretty much crumbled off of my finger tips leaving me with 3 missing tips and a couple cracks in some other nails and that I was just very disappointed, I remembered which dip I used and that I didn't want to use that kind again. The gentleman directed me to have a seat, I give my new dip I would like, he works on my nails. I was not irate or even looking per say for a discount even though I whole heartily feel that fixing them should have been on them! But I have money and can pay it's not the issue! So I was charged full price-OK I paid and EVEN tipped! ‍ Go to my vehicle and they are of horrifying shape...not a little off.. but extreme I noticed when I sat in my vehicle being that I didn't check when I was in the salon. I didn't go back in.. head home, turned around once to go back and then turned back again to go home. We have very frequently received services at TK nail since they opened. For the past 2 years we have seen a high turn around with staff- Understandable with Covid. Their quality has been going down. It is also frustrating to go in there when they are not too busy and have people that came in after us go before us. I used to love this place, but lately, not so much. The last several times I have been, my manicure and pedicure have been horrible. I got home and realized on my gel pedi, that one foot was glossy and the other not. My big toe had polished scraped off from where she put the UV light. Also, my speed manicure was HORRIBLE. I have been a loyal customer for approximately 2 years and have always had a decent experience. However, during a recent visit, I was very disappointed in Tina and Kelly. The first issue was, they have a protocol in place for Covid -19, to take each customer's temperature and have them sanitize their hands prior to service. During this particular day, a woman walked in and they took her temperature 3 times back to back without any rest period. Apparently, her temperature was elevated. The woman explained that she wasn't sick because she just left work. So, they proceeded to service her. They didn't even allow her to sit for at least 5 or 10 minutes and then retake her temperature. What's the protocol for if it's not going to be enforced. Second issue was, Tina has always done my nails. This particular day I asked for a regular mani and a regular pedi and Tina charged me $50 dollars. I thought the price was a little high, but Tina insisted that the price was correct. So I paid the $ 50 dollars, plus a $7 dollar tip. After leaving, I still thought that the price was a little high. So, I called back a few days later and asked how much for a mani and pedi and was told $43 dollars! I'm very disappointed in Tina and Kelly the Owner. I subsequently spoke with Kelly, the owner and she justified the customer with the elevated temperature being serviced . Also, she never addressed Tina overcharging me and didn't offer to give me back the difference. Both of them are dishonest and unprofessional! I will never return to TK again. I usually always go here and never have a problem. I went in today to get my nails and toes done. When I walked in I was told it would be a 20 minute wait and I ended up waiting an hour. The girl beside me had an appointment at 3 and didn't even get started until 3:45. Anyways, after waiting for an hour I finally was able to get my nails done. They weren't done the way I wanted but I had waited so long that I didn't even care at that point. I had told them at the beginning I needed my toes done too and I also told the lady who was doing my nails. So then when my nails are done I go to wash my hands and sit back down. There were two teenage girls who were basically running the place and one of them came up to me and told me I was good to go. I reminded her that I needed my toes done as well. So she sits me in a chair and another lady walks in after me. They sit her in a chair to get her toes done and tells her that when one of the ladies are finished they will come and help her. Mind you I was there first. So then one of the ladies doing toes goes up to the teenagers working and asks who's next. They both point at the girl who walked in after I was already waiting. I walk up and tell them I just want to pay since they want to keep skipping me. They say okay, no apology what so ever. Then I pay with cash and when I was getting my change the ones were stapled together so one of the teenagers starts ripping them out. I told her I was not accepting that and that she needed to take the staple out. They both yelled at me and said that it was going to rip either way. Then a man walks over and takes the staple out because that's common sense and gives me my change. I then go over to gloss to get my toes done. I got in immediately and they were so incredibly nice. I just don't understand why TK has two teenage girls running their business because they had no respect and no idea what they were doing. It's a good was to lose customers. Let me just start by saying that this is one of the most beautiful nail salons I've ever been to so I had really high hopes as I sat down. I went in to get my acrylic/gel polish soaked off and just gel polish put back on and my toes painted. A very nice gentleman who worked there talked me into getting a manicure because he said the gel polish would look better. I agreed that I needed a manicure too. This gentleman sat me down and drilled off my gel polish. There, we talked about nail salons in the area and how sanitation was seriously lacking and he assured me that they never use the same file or buffer on the same person because they cared about the well being of the customer. (I sighed in relief and started to envision myself making this my new nail home) I was then moved to the pedicure chairs where a lady took over and polished my toes while my nails soaked. While sitting there, I noticed the file and buffer were VERY used. Now I'm no snob but I was literally JUST told that they would never do that. I'm confused... So at this point I'm starting to feel disappointed at yet another Lake Wylie nail salon. I just kept quiet and closed my eyes and tried to relax. She worked on getting the acrylic nails off while I sat in the pedicure chair. Once she scraped and filed my nails, she moved me back to the nail bar to do my manicure and gel polish. Well... I thought anyway! She went right into the gel polish with old lumpy acrylic still stuck to the bottoms of my fingers and no manicure. I didn't say any thing, I just felt disappointment. Now don't get me wrong, my gel nails look ok but definitely would have looked better if I got the manicure that we ALL (including her) agreed that I needed. Can't give a real review consider I never got the chance to get my services done. Went in at 6 to get a manicure and pedicure, with my friend. Two ladies who came in after us got out in the pedi chairs before us. We waited 20 mins for pedi chairs. They finally had two chairs ready for us so we soaked for 25 mins. The lady in the chair beside us had been waiting for 45 mins for them to finish her pedi. Three nail techs were at register trying to help guest with her gift card. Three... we finally decided to just leave. My friend had been there before and had great reviews as did the people before me. Wish I could of gotten the chance to write a great review too! read more

i usually have decent experiences here but today was the worst i've had at any salon. the lady who did my nails did not soak my old set off, she used something sharp and took them off that way which was very damaging to my natural nail. she also made the thumbs of my new set so much shorter than the rest of my nails; and there are so many other things that made this experience terrible. i did not say anything then because it was past time for them to close and i felt bad but i will not be returning. read more
