Service was very kind, and this donut shop is just three doors down from my dentist (oh the sweet irony) , so I had high hopes for TK. Selection was quite small (a couple of rows on one glass case), but I was pleased to see that they had three flavored cronut types in addition to the original. I chose the chocolate covered cronut plus a mini blueberry cake donut. The nice server gifted me a strawberry jam filled donut hole. Unfortunately, I did not like the blueberry donut at all. It was a plain cake base, with an artificial tasting blueberry icing. The chocolate covered cronut was heavy, and not quite as flaky as I would have liked, but good overall. I have been coming here since I was in elementary school. My dad would take me in the morning before church. Then as I had kids I took them there as they grew up. The sweet owner always remembered me- it was so cute. We have moved out of state but still visit once a year & every time we visit we make sure to come to TK donuts multiple times! We live in TN now & there are no donut places there like the ones we have in SD. We always get sugar & chocolate twists! Soooooo fresh & fluffy & delicious! We even went this year on 4th of July & they were open & even had fun 4th of July decorated donuts. We stopped here at 6am on our way to the airport heading home & got some donuts to take home. Wow these donuts really blew me away I showed up on a Saturday morning before 8am and tried the blueberry glazed (thanks to those for mentioning in the reviews!!), strawberry/cream cheese, a cinnamon crumble cronut recommended by the employee, and the classic old-fashioned. I liked them each for different reasons, though maybe the blueberry the most. And they threw in a couple complimentary donut holes, possibly bc it was my first visit. Everyone was so fresh, obviously sweet but not over slathered like I've had at other donut shops. Definitely recommend for a morning indulgence. The breakfast sandwiches were so delicious and were the first things I thought of when I decided to thank my child's teachers on his last day of school. I called and left a message on the weekend after hours and was called back by the owner, who kindly placed my order. On the day of pickup, everything was ready to go, and the staff was so sweet throughout the transaction. They even threw in some donut holes and the cutest rainbow themed doughnut for my child. The store was impeccably, clean, smelled like heaven, and all of the donuts looked absolutely perfect and so appetizing. Their food is delicious, but their customer service is top-notch as well. We needed a quick breakfast on our way out of town and who doesn't love donuts? Stopped in and there was a short wait. They have a pretty small space so only 2 people could enter at a time. They have a large selection of donuts, fritters, bars, and croissants. It smelled like a sweet chocolate heaven in there. We ended up ordering way more than we needed but a warm freshly made donut is good for most of the day. We had donut holes, a blueberry donut, maple bar, chocolate cake donut, and a strawberry cheese filled Danish. Some of them were still warm and all of them were fresh. Freddie Mercury  The drive to TK Donuts is familiar to me.  During my college days I made this drive Sunday evenings to the Sunset Bowl.  I was in the Muir college bowling league.  Those were great times and I still meet up with my best friend I met while bowling Steve W.  Our team won the championship once.  Trophy still sits in the garage along with my bowling ball.  TK Donuts is located in a strip mall facing the street.  I found out about this place reading Kirk's blog mmm-yoso. Cinnamon roll was a mix of soft fluffy pastry, layers of sweet cinnamon, and topped off with super sweet icing.  Loved the mix of flavors after I scraped off a bit of the icing. Butter croissant was light and airy with a sweet buttery flavor.  Usually I don't get croissants at donut shops but this one was very good. Apple fritter was extremely sweet from the crunchy outer layer of icing and had apple bits inside.  I'd prefer less sweetness and more apple bits as there was too much sweetness to taste much apple flavor. Glazed donut with confetti sprinkles was fluffy inside with a sweet glaze on top.  Nice mild flavor to this yeast based dough. Very sweet. Sugar raised donut was fluffy and just the right balance of flavors from the yeast based dough and the sprinkled on sugar.  My favorite donut here. TK Donuts has a good variety of donuts.  I love their sugar raised donut and will visit again next time I'm in the area. The sun set on Sunset Bowl in August 2005. I watch the sun rise over the condo's where the sound of my bowling ball once crashed into pins.  Farewell Sunset Bowl.  I will always remember for one season we were champions. read more
