    Woody's Bait & Tackle

Great bait and tackle store. They always have fresh bait. Best local fishing rod shop around…read more Highly recommend

I have been a regular customer here for several years now but all of that is changing as of now…read morebecause of the extremely poor customer service. First I had purchased a reel from here that took months to get figured out due to no one having "authority" to do anything about. I just recently had gotten a rod and reel combo for father's day as well. While catfishing at Fort Gibson, a spoonbill must have gotten snagged on my line and long story short my pole broke into pieces before I could do anything. These poles according to the manufacturer are rated for catfishing, pier, and surf fishing. These poles come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty on top of being told at the store that if I had any problems to just bring the item back. My wife brought what was left of the pole ( rest fell in the water) and tried to exchange it (Saturday) which my neighbor across the street had just done recently because of the exact same issue with the same combo. She was told it would not be until Monday that the owner would have to come in and look at it to make a decision. So I went up there myself on Sunday and Joann the owner was there. I explained what happened and was told that my pole had been abused and that my wife was extremely hateful with them. First off, I take VERY good care of all of my fishing equipment so any "abuse" would have been while it stayed the night at their at the shop. When I went in and began to explain, she was the one who began to get hateful with me. At first she told me to take the reel off and purchase a new rod. I was told they no longer carry this (fin chaser) combo anymore and was told that there is no 1 year warranty. I found it funny that they stopped carrying this pole after the first one broke and my friend had to exchange his as well. After she tried to argue with me about it a bit she said, "I'm tired of this, come pick another pole." I received another pole after being treated like I was lying about my situation and with terrible customer service. This was a huge disappointment as I had no problems here before as my friend and I would stop by almost every weekend to pick up bait and tackle. This is the first time I had ever purchased a pole from them and it will be the last. After this incident however I would advise anyone who is thinking of making a purchase here for anything other than bait, be careful because the "policies" change so often. Extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service here. What happened to the customer is always right? I had I know for myself and the people I go fishing with regularly will be taking our business elsewhere due to all of the difficulty we have run into at this location. Very disappointing and frustrating.

i'd visited the pet store yesterday because i've been looking for dog hair gel or dog nail polish,…read moreand ms juniper from petco recommended i ask at the boutique pet store dog dish. immediately, from the name and the corresponding sign in front of the store, i'm drawn to the store, as while i'm not opposed to cats, I'd definitely consider me a dog person. after perusing the store for a few minutes, i'd asked the two young women at the counter if either knew about the store carrying either dog hair gel or dog nail polish, to which i'd received a kind, polite response that neither had heard of such a product. then, displaying superb customer service, one worker, kayla, searched the products online and found that neither is carried in-store locally, but both appeared available on the websites chewy and amazon. nevertheless, not wanting to leave empty-handed, i'd decided to look more closely at the bulk food sort of treat section i'd noticed while perusing, and saw a couple kinds that looked appealing to me for the dogs at the crib, those being pumpkin and peanut butter flower-shaped treats and blueberry and peanut butter bone-shaped treats. then, after weighing the treats i'd selected, 3 of each of the 2 kinds, the aforementioned worker clearly informed me the bulk food treats, though mix and match, have a 1 ounce minimum, and those i'd selected so far had not reached that weight. so, rather than charge me for the minimum ounce price without bringing the treats up to weight, she added more of each kind of treat i'd selected to bring the bag to 1 ounce, definitely a gesture deserving of returning to shop again. and further, the second worker, alex, while her co-worker was filling the bulk food treat bag, gave an enticing description of the k-9 donuts on display at the counter, of which i'd expressed an interest. specifically, she described that the ingredients in the donuts are all-natural, and even friendly for human consumption. so, you know where i'm going next . after breaking the donut into fourths, which, sidebar, the one critique i'd offer is the donut was somewhat hard to break, i'd given a larger pieces to each of the two large dogs at the crib, and gave a smaller piece to the small dog . and with just a few seconds of hestation, i'd decided to taste the second smaller piece to offer a personal review, beyond that of the easy to please dogs, and i'd say that the donut, while not going to be a go-to for me to eat, did have a pleasant taste, and is a treat i'm very content feeding the dogs.
