I stopped in this Tjmaxx for the first time and I will say it's a nicer experience than what I've had at the other sister stores in Philly. Way less crowding, quicker lines, nicer associates and not to mention the better variety of goods. When I say it was Stanley cup galore, authentic Burberry bags and designer shades. I could spend hours in here honestly. Most of the items were of great value and I can attest as a frequent tjmaxx shopper that you will not find these kind of items at their stores in Philly, which I can understand... the city is too chaotic and I'm sure loss prevention takes a big hit every year compared to what they would here. Small location, usually pretty messy and somewhat dirty. The employees are usually nice and friendly at checkout. This location carries the usual TJ Maxx products but not much selection. Small Runway section available as well. Usually had good sales. read more

Went in for lip gloss, perfume, a luggage scale, a dog ball launcher, and essential oil. Almost NONE of those items were available (though almost all were available at the St. Davids store). Came out with a 12" marble ampersand, a cheap Wahl trimmer, and I did get the luggage scale. Bill was under $32. It is typical to leave TJ's with crap you never knew you "needed." But as others have said, I used to come out with a lot more. Selection is sparse, at this location there is less emphasis on clothing than there ever used to be, and a lot more total floor space given to homewares, pet, toiletries, and random foodstuffs. I just can't bring myself to buy food at TJX. (They had a whole aisle devoted to a circus of tchotchkes!) I've done well for activewear here, but if you want more exciting clothes, go to the St. Davids store. read more

As a man in this store, there were not many options of clothes as a woman has. The men section of clothes was a straight mess. Couldn't find my type of clothes at all. Manager of this store was very rude. read more

Dear TJ, Sometimes you're like my best friend, hooking me up with all the best deals and coolest stuff on the downlow. Other times, you're stingy and keep all the best stuff, making sure to hide it out of range of my bargain hunting radar. That being said, this visit I was only able to find a pet bed for one of my cats. It was rather nice: black square enclosed pillow with a fleece blanket for the center and a fleece bone that said 'fetch' (Okay so it was a small dog bed...but who says my cat can't fetch?). It was $19.99 which isn't cheap, but its not super expensive either, since it was a really nice bed. There was also a nice black tee with angel wings on the back, but I didn't believe it was worth the $13.99 it was marked. Same with the $229 bag by the door; it was nice and all, but I don't have that kind of cash; therefore I will lash out at you with a lukewarm review! The store manager (Anne Marie Dimartini) was my cashier today and throughout the entire transaction she was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I've never had such a bad and uncomfortable customer service experience when all I was doing was making a purchase, there was no reason for the attitude and rude comments. I left very confused by this style of management and won't be returning. Edit: this woman has brown hair, is short, older, with glasses. I noticed a few other reviewers had a similar experience as mine. What a shame read more

Went in yesterday and hit BIG - a Tommy Hilfiger Dress for $40 and a Calvin Klein Dress - also for $40. Restrooms are filthy, dressing room attended was not a happy camper, but I managed to get in and out - tried on 8 dresses and bought 2. Not bad! Gotta love that "no sales tax on clothing" in PA thing! read more

On a Sat the managers of the store will let 10 people on line with a couple cashiers before they will step up to help I witnessed one - a coordinator named Tanja just stand there with a huge line and when a woman asked her why she was helping she was very nasty read more

I stopped by this TJ Maxx after having lunch a few doors down. I love TJ Maxx, and always pop in when I see one, because you can typically get fragrances for a really good price. However, at this branch, they were actually quite expensive. There's not much point of shopping here if you can get the very same thing for $10 or $20 less online. Actually, I only checked out the fragrances, so they may have some great finds in other departments. Probably worth a look! read more

I've been shopping at this TJ Maxx location for years. The two-star rating is only for the product selection.. Lately, it has been pretty sparse. I used to spend hundreds of dollars here but now my typical purchase is only around fifty. As far as customer service, I give it a zero. I can't remember the last time I saw a sales associate smile or have any attitude other than "I hate my job, what do you want...." And that is IF they can even muster that much personality. I will say, the last few times I've been in, I haven't seen the creepy guy that always used to hit on me (I lost count of how many times he gave me his number, made inappropriate comments, etc). I actually started shopping at other TJ Maxx locations simply to avoid his presence. Kudos to this location for (I assume) finally terminating him. read more

Returned jewelry that broke after wearing twice (defective basket in earrings). I was not upset and the jewelry counter person could not have been nicer. However, she called the store manger (?) Charmaine King. She was abrupt and dismissive; behaved angrily about my request. I've gone there to shop for years but won't return. It's important to treat customers with respect and there are plenty of other stores in this area that have great customer service. I'll be taking my $$ elsewhere. read more

Like all TJ Maxx stores, you really have to keep checking in to see when new merchandise arrives. Some days you will find amazing products and low prices, but that merchandise always sells out quickly! This weekend I really lucked out at this location. Among other things, I got a pair of lilac colored Seven jeans for only $17. I will say that the handbag selection at this location seems rather limited. The staff was very nice both at the fitting room and at the check out counter! read more

Love the scarf and purse selection here! This another one of my favorite stores to get lost in. I could literally own everything in the store and still want to come back here for newer items! I had the worst shopping experiance of my life on this store!!! I purchased something and desided to return it a few days later with the reciept. I was told I could not because I didn't buy it there. How is that possible I had the receipt in had tags on the item!!! So they called me a liar and a theif. Basicly the manager has no control of the stores inventory and either another customer slipped something by the "slow" employees that work there or one of them is a theif themselves or the company that doesn't put The name of the produce they are selling on the store tags so they can sell stuff fruadgilently and not take the return. I.e. I think they buy things at dollar stores display it with branded items and sell it as a brand name. Every TJ Maxx I have ever bee in looks like an earthquake hit it. The employees always act as if you are interupting there conversations. It just the worst store I have every had the displasure of shopping at. I really like the selection at this store and have shopped there multiple times. I purchased a piece of luggage that defective. I misplaced my receipt but I had my bank statement that showed the day and amount of purchase. The manager refused to take the item back and told me that it should be covered under warranty. What kind of customer service is this. A store credit or a replacement was all that I wanted. No going here again. If this is the general store policy I will not shop here again. read more

I don't usually like shopping in this shopping center as there's always a surplus of snobbery in every store. Not so much with the clerks, but the shoppers. Anyway, I have mixed reviews about the staff at this location. I first asked a new employee for help. She was very friendly and although she couldn't answer my question, she found someone (also very friendly) who could. I was looking for leggings. I found a few with help and proceeded to check out. The woman that checked me out was NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL! I felt like i was bothering her by bringing my purchases to her register. She was shorter with glasses middle aged and had brown hair. I will never go to her register ever again. I greeted her with kindness and was met with grunts and short answers. Then, after she THREW my stuff in a bag, she walked away before i even took it off the counter. I walked away making a face and the customer next to me said "yikes! Maybe she's having a bad day?" She was the worst. All in all. my experience was ok. The first two employees were phenomenal while the last was a total witch. I'm hoping she's not always like that. read more

I like this TJ Maxx. They have a selection of designer jeans, dresses, tops, sunglasses, and handbags that are priced lower than regular retail prices. Why would I pay full price at Nordstrom when I can get the same thing here. Not a great shoe selection. read more

It's hard to give TJ Maxx anything but a 3 star rating, but this one is a little more special to me. I mean, it's the same everywhere. You search around the racks, find something great, realize the hanger number is actually much smaller than the size of said garment, move on, etc. However, I think this location realizes that it caters to a more affluent contingent of cheapskates, hence the Runway section of the store. It's still super expensive for anything there, but if you're really into designer clothing, you may be in luck. I was in there today and found more Kate Spade (the only brand about which I'm a brand whore) than in any other TJ Maxx/Marshall's I frequent. They had at least 12 KS pieces of clothing, and I saw 3 KS bags. I can't verbalize why I like this location better (the selection is inevitably hit or miss, and the service is distant but polite enough), but I always seem to walk out of here with the most stuff. read more
