I needed to do a return recently (item purchased at another location), and did a quick look around the store first to see if I could find a pair of sunglasses (of course, I lost the GREAT ones I bought here last summer!!) and a couple of other things. While a small store, they have a lot of great items and everything is REALLY WELL organized! I think the best part of the store are the employees: the nice women organizing/stocking in the aisles all said hello and asked if I needed anything, and the cashiers are awesome! read more

For the first time at this location I was witnessed to a couple of unprofessional actions by an employee. The store was organized and clean there was an older women employee stocking the shelves by candy and very pleasant but what struck me most was a male employee at the register 4 who seems to be abit aggressive and noticed a couple of customers that were not very professionally or properly handled in a business manner and this male middle aged person did not act in the stores best interests! This unfortunate action will definitely affect my returning and I can honestly say those other women will not return. His mannerisms were not warranted by making hand gestured motions rotating his hands as to say you are crazy. Outside the store those women were visibly upset and in disbelief that this male employee would treat women or any customers that way! Not my intention to tell this store Manager how to proceed but security cameras will tell the tale! I know I won't return snd I can say without hesitation that those other women will not also. Human Resources should act swiftly to further stop future unnecessary visual confrontation with its paying customers Unacceptable as this is, no employee should gesture a customer is crazy when the employee was at fault and did not do his job! I am a fair and proper reviewer and I don't relish the fact in leaving a less than favorable review! I hope that those women contact someone in corporate and tell their account of their shopping dilemma! If more customers speak up, businesses will see an increase in Sales! And weak out those employees that just want a pay check! read more

This is an awesome location, amazing parking, clean store, merch is constantly different on a weekly/biweekly basis. There is always new stuff to look through, unlike others in the area that always have the same exact stuff. So what does that mean? Killer clearance sections!!!! read more

Typical small TJ Max's location . Honestly wish there was a Sierra trading post or at least a Marshall's or home goods here instead. This shop in this strip mall seems to cater to the generally older or bargain seeking crowd from Waltham out of convenience . Store employees are nice enough .. just wish the store were bigger and carried something for men. read more

I promised my niece I would get her a toy (it was actually a bribe) and my mom said I should check out TJ Maxx for some good deals; I didn't even know TJ Maxx sold toys. We went to the store, my niece smiling, knowing that soon she'll have a new toy in her hands. Went to the toys department, and right away she found three things she wanted. I told her to pick only one, and of course, she wanted the most expensive toy there. We settled for a Lalaloopsy doll that was only $14.99, which according to my sister, is a good deal. There were many other things in the toy department ranging up baby toys and older kids toys. Now, I know where to shop if I ever need to buy toys again. While I was there, I looked through the women's clearance rack and found two Boston Bruins shirts for $10.00 each. I don't really follow hockey but I'm sure I'll wear the shirts once or twice during hockey season. read more

You should know... - I get headache as soon as I walk in your store. - That your prices aren't all that great. - That your store is always messy - talk about a clusterF**K! - Your layout sucks! - Your clothes are just mediocre and way overpriced. I'd rather just go to the mall and shop in organized clothing that not only fit my budget, but will last a whole lot longer. - You do occasionally have a good deal on something (i.e. Christmas cards) - If you would just tidy up a bit, I wouldn't have such a problem with you. The worst customer service at a TJ MAXX. TJ MAXX is one of my fav stores and i've never had a problem with them til tonight. I had a return with 2 decorative pillows i bought there that were defect. But I lost my recept for them, bc i didn't intend on having them break 2 months later. zipper broke. i told TONY INES (assistant manager) i bought it for 16.99 a piece, a standard price at their store and for most of the pillows that are still there. He looked so annoyed with yet another return in his day, and told me there's NOTHING he can do bc i don't have my receipts. I didn't want $ back, just wanted store credit so i can exchange them for new ones. he didn't try to work with me or sympathize that i spent $34 for nothing, and just kept on telling me he can't do anything. So i got mad and asked what he would do if he was in my position. he replied "i dont know". are you the manager or not? are you kidding me? Then i asked what his first name was, bc his name tag said "T. Ines.." He didn't want to tell me, said he didn't need to tell me his first name. This visit was as difficult as you can imagine. Apparently his name is TONY, incredibly rude and unwilling to help. maybe retail isn't the career path for you then?! A few other associates of the store came up to me after witnessing what happened and told me no one that works there likes him, he's not a nice manager at all. Pretty sad. I grew up five minutes from here. I wouldn't waste my coffee break on this TJ Maxx. The best thing you will find here is Will Smith......... It is more geared towards the projects across the street. This location is a short ride from the last Waltham/Trapelo Road/ exit of 128N....... so if you can just make it a few more exits to Bedford, you will find much better shopping at the Marshalls on the main street there. I don't see why anyone would come here........unless they live in Waltham and have no car. read more

This is the one of the only cheap clothing store in the giant clusterfucky Waltham office park area. As such, especially on payday, all the cheap women in said office park converge on this location to get their past-season shoes. God knows I do. They organize the handbags here by color. They upgraded the checkout counters so they're at German-level speed and efficiency, so you really can just pop in and out over your lunchbreak with a few minutes left over to actually, you know, eat lunch. read more

Beware of buying anything online with TJ Maxx. I bought a black dress at TJ Maxx online for $59.99. It took over two weeks to ship. Customer service did not exist. And my emails requesting an update on the shipping status went unanswered. The dress finally arrived. And then TJ Maxx took $59.99 CASH, plus shipping out of my checking account via PayPal. So tonight I decided I wasn't crazy about the dress and decided to return it. I was well within the 30 day refund period, I had the original receipt plus the plastic bag it was shipped in, plus the tags were on the dress exactly as I had received it. Well I went to the TJ Maxx on Lexington St. in Waltham to return the dress. The manager informed me that the ONLY thing he could do was give me a merchandise credit. TJ Maxx does NOT refund cash when you use PayPal. TJ Maxx had NO PROBLEM extracting the CASH from my checking account. And they took my money, and the only thing I can get is merchandise credit? I DON'T THINK SO. I am not going to even complain to the TJX Corporation, I am going straight to the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection. This is an unfair and deceptive act and I will collect treble damages. Some things are worth the fight. THIS is one of them. I'm going after them. It's not about the money - it's about the principle. I want my money back. Plain and simple. They are holding it hostage. And that is wrong. read more

Props to my local TJMaxx. It's not the best looking store in the world, but there's a few diamonds waiting to be plucked out from the endless racks. The Good: The mens selection is more than adequate at this location. The winner was the rack with the Tommy Hilfiger sweaters, found one for under $40 that's still on the Macy's website for $80. The housewares/food section was crammed with lots of goodies, and its a real treat to find Mighty Leaf tea and Ghirardelli chocolates for a bargain. The Bad: The lines, of course! Not being able to find something you love in the next size up/down. Basically, the same things at every TJMaxx. read more

The only reason why this TJ Maxx is getting above a two is because of their clearance section. I am an avid clearance rack shopper and I found some amazing finds in the range of $7-$20 and to the tune of brands like Michael Kors, Kenzie, lancome, Smashbox, CHI, etc; If it was not for the clearance sections, I would give this location a 2. I only go here because it's so close to work, and convenient to go during my lunch break so I don't have to drag along my kids otherwise. The store seems always disheveled and dirty. Not much of a selection in kids' clothes. I get especially pissed seeing them trying to sell damaged clothing with tears and stretch marks (knitwear on hangers!)...I cannot stand the checkout clerks; they pretend like you're not even there, they just chat amongst themselves. I don't usually write reviews for retail but this place warrants a good one. The remodel looks great the flow is easy and the selection is good. Prices are ridiculous I got an amazing leather Kenneth Cole satchel briefcase for $40 (compared to all others at the mall for up to $1200!) I will NEVER give tjmaxx less than three stars but this is one of the weaker ones in the bunch. That said, there are gems to be found but they are few and far between. The dressing rooms are pretty dirty, even just standing for a few minutes the bottom of my socks got dirty changing in them. The manager is not so great in their return policy. The rest of the staff is pretty nice. The selection is hit or miss, but in general won't buy anything light colored there since it's usually dirty. Have also come across quite a few pairs of shoes on sale that looked like they had been worn heavily. The only thing I now buy here are boxes of thank you cards, and those are pretty reliable. read more

I am usually a big fan of TJ's, but this one is lacking. It just has pretty much nothing. Almost no Bed and Bath Department to speak of. Very disappointed by the lack of selection of bedding stuff. Makes me want to say I wish I was in Michigan because the TJ on Carpenter Rd in Ypsi-Arbor usually has so much more stuff. read more
