I had a great experience. Lalane I believe was the ladies name at the jewelry counter. She was so sweet.

Love the housewares and purses here. I've never really looked at the other departments but those two are so good. I like the employees too.

Watch out if you are buying jewelry as a gift. If your recipient doesn't have the receipt they won't accept a return or store credit.

Amazing deals!!! I just LOVE IT! The people are always very kind and nice. There is one closer to me in shoreline, but it is not the same. Puyallup is the way to go!!!!!!!

Im done! I really tried. The quality wasn't good to begin with. I started going because it was a…read morefun thing to do with friends, and it was dirt cheap when they started. But lets examine the fall here, shall we? First off, customer service was always bad. I cant even list to you the amount of times I've gotten yelled at for being in the way by the previous manager, the bald dude. the employees would often seem on edge, and if there was a good employee the next times I went I would never see them again (seems like the good ones quit). They've changed managers to a lady, and she seems ok, but the quality of the customer service from the workers has totally gone down it seems. One reason I went was because I would get a damage discount on top of stuff that was already almost cheap. The old manager was sickenly sweet to me whenever I was with my mom, but seemed to hate me when I wasn't. I think this has to do with looking young. and although I'm glad it seems like hes gone, I reiterate the service seems to be even less quality. The reason I mention this is because I guess only the manager can offer damage discounts, and I didn't know this. This time I went last, not only did the girl at the front not offer to get the manager and just say "I cant change prices on items" blatantly, but overall didn't seem like she cared about the interaction at all. Which is fine, but don't expect me to come back. The list is long, so this was the straw that broke the camels back. The long list: I've been yelled at least twice that I can remember, there's been people at the front that can't even speak english so you cant really get help (not faulting them maybe, but seems like they should be stocking instead of up front), often the quality of the items is so bad. They didn't check the cds I got the first time I bought any, and one of the disks for the game I got wasn't in there to begin with, but I checked it too late so I couldn't get money back. The pricing is now on par with goodwill ($25 for a cast iron skillet, $8 for table cloths with stains etc) but lower quality than I find at goodwill; the time before last I went I 1) found a cookie and toilet paper inside one of the coats I tried on 2) saw poop stains on clothes on the racks 3) saw sticky substance on a book with what looked like (hopefully) dog hair). I've heard the previous manager yelling at the workers. I have overheard someone say someone has taken stuff out of her cart before to buy themselves. or maybe steal? idk. but I believe it. People will follow you and wait till you look at something with interest, then snatch it up after you walk away. To top it all off, you will still have to ask people to open up locked boxes for some items. I might have more that I remember later, but I'll stop here. If all of this sounds good to you, and you dont care? then that's fine. I will take me and mine elsewhere where I know there are both great deals, they know my name, and treat me well. Hope this was helpful to someone and thanks for reading! The discounts aren't worth it, and maybe never really were.

This place makes adulting fun! I don't know why I never discovered this before. It's got everything…read moreI've ever wanted to look at all in one place. From knives to pots and pans to kitchen gadgets you didn't think you would need until you see them. They even have makeup, hair products, clothes, and anything you can think of. It was so much fun roaming around this store, and they have a variety of the same item. For example, my goal was to get a butcher knife. They have big ones, small ones, heavy ones, ones with short handles, and ones with longer handles. I spent a long time picking one out to my liking. The inside feels like a big warehouse with everything neatly placed in a way that you can just walk up and down the aisles with ease. There was so much to look at that I felt like I spent close to an hour or more here. Some things were reasonably priced, while others were a little higher. It really depends on what you plan on getting from here. I almost got a wok from there but decided against it because the one on sale was a little bit too heavy for me. If you are in the area and love kitchen things, I would suggest going to Shin Shin to check it out. It was fun for me, and I plan to take my mom there on our next trip to Seattle. However, I might regret that decision later, because my mom would just spend her entire trip there and not want to leave. Haha, I will keep you posted on this. Parking is plentiful. Credit cards are accepted. One thing that caught my attention, though, was that the employees would stare you down after a little while. Instead of having security cameras, they have employees at every corner who would randomly show up next to you to ensure you are "shopping" and not stealing. If you are okay with having a personal bodyguard while you shop, then there would be no issues at all. Have fun!

I had driven past Shin Shin several times in Lakewood, but always headed elsewhere. This time I…read moremade it a point to detour and check it out (4/17/26). It is a fairly large retail site that carried assorted housewares, some alcohol, restaurant gear, small appliances, bedding and linen, Korean hair & skincare products, and clothing. I was rather amused at the gigantic sizes of some bowls, woks, rice cookers, and cooking pots...literally could hold a toddler or two. As other Yelp posts have noted, they do have attentive store personnel that are at the ready should you have any questions. Unless you're a regular shopper, one will definitely be wandering and browsing every aisle since there are no overhead signage. After all that wandering, I did end up paying for a substantial back scratcher for The Homie and a floral print quilted vest for my mom. Both were reasonable and one was even on sale! Chalk it up to, you don't think you'll find anything in particular, but stop in Shin Shin for some momentary retail therapy.
