This TJ Maxx is located in Brentwood Place, the massive and always busy complex that sits along Franklin Road in Brentwood. So, with that...be prepared for your normal TJ Maxx crowds, but this location is also the combo HomeGoods, so again...be ready! I honestly come to this location for the HomeGoods portion, but can't help wondering around the clothing section for a solid deal on a good polo. The store, like many TJ Maxx/HomeGoods is packed with merchandise of all varieties. You honestly never walk in with a plan, you let the store guide you and tell you what you need! Service at this location is usually pretty solid. Folks are helpful on the floor and at the register, along with being efficient when the line starts to back up. I like shopping at T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods. They have a decent selection in merchandise. You can find just about anything in store worth its value. I wish that their app offered the same when trying to browse and shop for in store items online. However, it would be nice if the store was less congested with aisles and products being too close together. More space throughout the store including the aisles would be nice to make a better shopping experience in my opinion. Not just for me as a customer but for all shoppers. read more

I always love a good tj maxx. Who doesn't?! The prices and selection are always pretty good. It makes me wonder why people still shop at over priced places, but I am glad they do so there is more selection left for me! I think I accidentally encountered the manager the other day and if it was him, he was very pleasant and seemed helpful. That is a lot more than I can say for some places!! The only downfall I can think of for this store is the parking and the lines. The lines are always painful long and the parking lot is usually full of people who I have to question if they have ever actually been taught how to drive. Great place to go if you want to feel like you're trapped in an avalanche of consumer culture from the rude customers to the horrible service. Can't even walk around without feeling like I can't breathe being crammed in with all the stuff. Don't even think of grabbing a cart. This is a great TJ Maxx/Home Good's store. They always have a ton of stuff, usually at pretty decent deals. The check out lines can be long but there's usually a lot of cashiers available - just a lot of people. Beware of the line though, lots of temptations for you to purchase! As a side note one time there was a shirt with a small stain and I really wanted it and it was the only one. They were not willing to offer a discount though and obviously if I couldn't get it out I couldn't return. Most stores usually offer a small discount but this one did not. read more

Went here just to look at spring decor, furniture, and clothes with my husband this passed Saturday. This is the only Home Goods/TJ Maxx near me and it was an hour drive. We definitely made a mistake coming here on a Saturday even though it was in the evening. We tried to get in and out ASAP. They need a bigger lot for all of the merchandise they have because we couldn't get down one aisle without almost bumping into another person or knocking over items that are pretty much falling off of the shelves. The aisles are too narrow and if you decide to push your cart down one you will most likely get trapped from other shoppers sandwiching you in. It was very nerve racking and we couldn't even take our time looking. Never going here again. I'll just wait until we move to Texas to go to TJ Maxx/Home Goods. read more

This a really great store...they have a great selection of men's fragrances and everything else on the planet and ALWAYS have a good number of cashiers working. Well. howdy Marc Jacobs robe. My my, Original retail price is $168. Your special price? $48. Oh, YES. I couldn't pass that one up. However, I behaved myself and passed up the Missoni boots, LAMB skirt, and Helmut Lang tunic... this broad was on a mission to score some goods for my home. I instead found a Kate Spade comforter and shams for over 65% off and some whimsical crystal Kate Spade home decor for 70% off, some professional grade Calphalon pots and pans at a fraction of the cost, and literally a really rad metal 6 foot tall knight in shining armor to put in my entryway for around $100. If I would have gone anywhere else for a piece like this, it would have cost me a LOT more. (be sure to check out the photo that I uploaded of the man of the house!) Needless to say, this is the spot if you need anything and everything and it sure is dangerous to come here if you have any extra cash... it will most certainly be gone by the time you leave. Horrible mis-management. Customers walking out due to a too-long line... THREE registers had lights on but there was only ONE person actually working. Had seen other employees wandering.... not even pretending to straighten shelves. Too many on break at once??? Manager on duty, Miss Terry, was too busy looking around for someone else to work the register & then arguing with him when he came bak up.... to actually provide some customer SERVICE. A word of recognition to the customers for their plight would have gonna long way toward good will. SAD state of affairs, here. NOT the store it once was. If I asked if they could honor that, they wouldn't. What's frustrated is, you have someone putting the wrong price then won't honor the price you are advertising it for. Yes, I know this is a chain...but enough Yelpers ask where to find excellent deals on nice clothes here in Nashville, and this particular location is a hotspot for inexpensive designer goods! A few years ago TJ Maxx redesigned this store, and it now carries a huge selection of furniture, bedding, bath, kitchen ware, and anything else you can think of for the home. Additionally, they added a "Runway" section in the women's department--it's all designer clothes at fabulous prices! A friend of mine bought a $6,000 classic black Armani evening gown for $600!!!! I'm not kidding. They always have several racks full of jeans too--Sevens, Rock & Republic, Chip and Pepper, J Brand, Earl Jean, DVB, 579, Paige, and so many more--all for under $100! Even some for under $50. Before you go jeans shopping--go here! Other great finds at this TJ Maxx are luggage, bags, and suits--I buy all my suits here! Tons of Anne Klein and Tahari. Don't overlook the shoe section either! It's hit or miss, but they usually have a lot of BCBGirls and Michael Kors in stock, as well as good ole' Nine West. I was in the store last night. Went for a certain item only to be immediately sidetracked by other things. In fact, I wasted so much time - all the while fighting the crowds - that they started announcing the store closing before I'd even looked for that one item! But, the fact of the matter is, although I find all sorts of "crap" to spend my money on, I pretty much never find what I need. Whether its women's wear, home goods, or whatever. It's a struggle to even move around in the crowds of people. You would've thought they were having a 75% off sale with the way these shoppers were behaving. It's nuts, and not worth it to me. And the line?? Crazy every single time I've been in there. I was creeped out by a group of men, speaking a foreign language, who were pushing me out of the way in the PURSE section. They were on their phones and up and down the aisles, and invading "the bubble" so much so that I finally left the purse section. This TJ's is usually my first stop when I'm looking for a new wardrobe item. It's inexpensive and the location is convenient, even if the layout is not. If you're a woman, you'll have a far greater selection, but you REALLY have to dig to find things that aren't just outlandish; TJ's acquires their merchandise in a process similar to Big Lots. Sometimes you get stuff that is just out of season, sometimes you get stuff that didn't sell at full retail for a reason. If you're a man, you don't have to dig as much, but the selection isn't nearly as good. I do like to stroll through the Home Goods portion of the store as well, I've found some pretty good decor and storage solutions for my home. In short, TJ's is a place that's best visited semi-regularly so that you can see what new arrivals they have. If you're willing to work for it, you usually can find a deal, but sometimes you strike out. read more

The is the Cadillac of TJ Maxx. In my travels far and wide, even compared to the TK Maxx overseas, this one blows them all away. Shopping at TJ Maxx often leaves much to be desired. You get lured in with the promise of finding big ticket designer apparel at a miserly price. The reality that you usually end up in however is a chaos of employees who care nothing about their jobs, clothes scattered randomly everywhere, and long unorganized checkout lines that move more slowly than Nashville's rush hour. It is more or less the equivalent of dumpster diving for clothes. When you do actually find something (hint: whatever you are looking for will not be located where it should be) you kind of feel like you just won the shopping lottery since locating said item was likely a four hour adventure. So, this is still a TJ Maxx, and it will suffer from some of those issues, but for the most part it suffers from all those the least of any other TJ Maxx I've visited (I'm looking at you, 100 Oaks). The clothing is as organized as can be expected, sizes are grouped and labeled, and the checkout always seems to have enough cashiers to keep the line humming. An added bonus is that have a substantial home goods selection, hence the name, duh. If you want to go treasure hunting for clothes, designer cologne, or that must have 10pc dishware set, this should be your first stop. read more

My home away from home! All TJ Maxxes are not created equal, and this one is one of the best I've been to! Great selection of purses, shoes, and clothing. The beauty area seems a little small in scale, but seems like there's still a lot to choose from. Their Runway section of the store is small, but has some great high-fashion items. None I can afford, but I always browse its clearance section with hope. Also LOVE the HomeGoods being attached. Plenty of parking, too! If you live in Nashville, make the trip to Brentwood! I read a review that the Brentwood TJ Maxx was one of the few locations that had a designer section so I decided to check it out. The local Tj Maxx that I'm used to in PA has a huge designer selection of clothes and shoes. It really is nice. So I was excited! I was also impressed that they were open until 9:30 because its difficult to find shops that are open later. Anyway, when I entered, I realized there was nothing there for me. The dresses were ugly and they had an extremely limited selection and the tee's were abundant but all from cheap brands and yet somehow still not cheap. The designer section had almost nothing! Also, they were limited in the men's section, jewelry section, and the shoes were ugly. However, I did notice that they had a wide selection of women's fitness clothes and the infant/ child section. I didn't really like their purses either. So yeah, went out empty handed. Also, don't stay a minute past 9:30 because the power goes off at 9:30 on the dot... its kind of scary. read more
