She was very nice and helpful. We shared a piña con coco cocktail, which I really enjoyed. It had a spicy rim and was sweet, but not too sweet. We ordered the guacamole, which was made tableside. I ordered the enchiladas al comal, which looked really good. Unfortunately, I didn't love the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas and wished I had ordered a more traditional red or green sauce. But it was still good, and I can see why it's popular. I did enjoy the steak and vegetables inside the enchiladas. I was leaning toward a 4-star rating since I didn't love my enchiladas and wouldn't order them again. But Isabella's service was so excellent that it alone pushed my review to a 5.

The food was fresh and hot just as I love it. I had a torta cubana and I was blown away. I'm a tough critic of the tortas and they did not disappoint. The staff was excellent and very friendly. They even kept an eye on items I had in the back of ny truck so that I could enjoy my meal. They kept noticing that I kept looking outside and they said "enjoy your food we will keep an eye out", which made me laugh and happy at the same time. The ambiance was as you would expect any other authentic Mexican restaurant to be, true to its roots. Thank you. I will be back soon.

The maximum occupancy is 49 people, but it felt roomier inside than that. The decor is okay and the place seemed clean overall. Service - Service was pretty good. Our server was very friendly, and service wasn't bad. The only blemish was she did not check in on refills very frequently. I managed to get one, but my wife did not. By the time she asked again, we had finished our meal and were ready to go. A pretty small blemish, and not a dealbreaker for us. Food - The food was outstanding. My wife got the fajitas and they looked great! She loved them. I got the alambres and they were fantastic. Add in the homemade tortillas (both flour and corn) and it's an easy five stars! Their rice, beans, and salsa were all good too. No complaints at all with the food. Overall, I'd definitely come back again. The food was great, the people were super friendly and welcoming, and we were able to get a table right away. It's very close to the freeway, so when coming from out of town it's an easy on/off too. Great spot!

Then she went back to the back to talk to cooks some more, finally began to take our order then said she needed to take a call from her boss because they were having issues with printer. Had us wait more time, she went to the back again came back to register played with device to try to reset it all to then tell us they couldn't serve us. Complete waste of our time. Every time we have been here there has been so sort of issue. As a side note they rip customers off too- I like to add my own salsa so I always ask for it on the side and I've been charged for it even though I don't want extra just would normally come with food but I have seen cashier give customers dining in more salsa at counter after getting their food without charging them. It's like they just add random charges and sneak extra money out of customers getting food to go without even letting one know of the extra charges. So please be aware if you choose to take your chances here.

La Mesa is the forgotten child. When going to MT and PT it feels upscale and an experience, with excellent food to boot! But La Mesa's ambiance, food and asmosphete is just not hitting the same. I bet with some aesthetic adjustments and a shift to more upscale dining like their sister restaurants this has a lot of potential. Ordered supper burritos from door dash twice and it was soooooo good! It was fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered our two burritos and it was ready in less than 5 minutes. Super burrito is a 10/10 for me (when fresh, hot and with grilled cheese on tortilla) I will still support in the future for sure.
