OHHHH WOWWWW! I had their SURF & TURF QUESADILLA for the 1st time today. It was to-die-for! #excellent You MUST try one. The shrimp is plump, succulent, tasty, fresh, & cooked perfectly. The carne asada is very tasty. They do not skimp on how much of both that they load the nice flour tortilla with. I put the green hot sauce on each bite, & also some sour cream from my refrigerator. Service and location are good. The truck looks clean and maintained. There wasn't much of a wait and they do phone orders. I ordered the surf and turf supper burrito. I was not impressed with the rolling of the tortilla. I had to re-roll it to make it work. The burrito was hot and I could taste the salsa, but not the meat or shrimp. There was definitely shrimp, just not a lot of flavor overall. Not saying don't go here, it's a safe bet for good service and hot food. Just didn't do it for me- Plain jane food. read more

I would've taken a pic of the tacos too but they didn't even make it back to the car because I devoured them. This is by far, hands down the best taco truck I've ever had. This is top 2 and it's not #2. The meat is savory and not salty. I love my food spicy so the red salsa was a perfect addition. This place is so good that this is my second day in a row eating it. A go-to when I'm craving tacos. I like the pastor here and my lady likes the Asada. Their tacos have a unique flavor and are always moist and fresh and the owner is friendly and serves them up fast. Yesterday I ordered from a different truck by accident but still decided to pick up additional tacos from la bamba to do a side-by-side comparison. Started with bamba's pastor and oh yeah it hit the spot. Next took a bite from the competitor bamba blew it out of the water. Ran it back with an Asada side by side next, same result. Thankful to have la bamba as an option for tacos here in Lodi. One day I'll try some of their other offerings. read more

Big fan of the grilled shrimp tacos and grilled shrimp burrito. Been here several times at the Kettelman location, south side, across the road from Pietros. I would give the grilled shrimp items 5 stars on their own. Only reason for 4 is I haven't tried very many of the other menu items. last time I was there was 12/04/13 and I got the last of his grilled shrimp and I wanted one more item. I saw Chili Verde and asked for that but was told he no longer served it, even though it was still on the menu. I got a chicken burrito special and it was good. Word of warning, red salsa is not for the faint of heart as my wife found out. When he asks if you want everything on it, you might have him hold the red sauce or put it on the side, if you like it hot like me, say Yes Please and enjoy! (He has a milder green sauce that my wife likes). read more

It was easy to find La Bamba because of the crowd standing around. I can understand this vendor truck being a favorite. I tried the $8. 3 enchiladas. Good, but not special. The beans and rice were $2 extra , and worth it. The chicken street taco was delicious and wished I'd ordered two. I will return next time I'm hungry for La Bamba . Lots of different items I'd like to try . I give La Bamba only 3 because the management was so unhelpful in trying to order. Wearing a mask and ordering up into the truck on a busy street. I've been eating from La Bamba since 2015 when they used to park outside my work during lunch. This is by far the best taco truck on Earth. Arguably, many of their options are actually better than any restaurant in town. My family loves the super burritos the best. I prefer the chicken quesadilla and the green sauce- they are both the best I've ever eaten anywhere. I always call ahead because we are a big family and it's always a tall order. Everything is ready in 30 minutes or less and they have never gotten my order wrong (I order for 7-9 people). They also take credit cards, which makes it easier. Additionally, the price is very reasonable for the quality. Great service all around. We love La Bamba!! read more

Greatest burrito in Lodi, hands down. I always go for the BBQ Pulled Pork, al pastor or carne asada burrito. Never been disappointed with anything I ate. The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars has to do with public updates with the location of the truck. Today I drove to Lodi with the sole purpose of enjoying one of their burritos (a 40 mile round trip. It's worth it, trust me). Came up to their location as advertised on Yelp, no truck. Crushed. All I'm asking for is an update if the truck won't be at that location. I understand one of the advantages of being mobile lets you cater easier or go to food festivals/food truck meet ups, but it doesn't help if we can't find you. La Bamba has both Instagram and Facebook pages, which I follow. I just wish they updated if they're not available for business on certain days. Could have saved a trip. read more

Up charges unfairly, rude customer service, and slow cooks. Guy rips people off. This taco truck was the only food vendor at a wine event in Lodi. As we waited in line to order, we saw a handwritten paper sign taped to the truck that listed more expensive prices than what was on the real menu. I asked the rude man at the window as to why there were two different prices and instead of clarifying or apologizing for confusion, he barked the up charge price at me repeatedly. I had no choice but to order food from him because my family was starving and this was the only food vendor at the event. The food took forever to be made and was so skimpy!!!! My girlfriend and I happened upon La Bamba while cruising the shopping center looking for a place to eat and we were extremely pleased with what we found. The chile relleno, rice and beans which I had were great! There was plenty of food and I took about half of it home for later and it was just as good leftover. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit to La Bamba in the very near future and I am saving the fifth star award until I have a chance to try a different entree. read more

Food is not bad, but be careful when paying with debit or credit card. The owner will cheat you with a couple of dollars more than what it should be. I had even asked to confirm the total price, but when i checked my acct, he charged otherwise. This slick dude did this to me twice already. You've just lost a loyal customer. read more
