I LOVE Peña's!!! One of the BEST taco trucks around. The Pine Street location is my favorite (they have others), just know that they are only open in the mornings and afternoons Monday - Friday. The truck is located in the parking lot of Kludt & Sons on the corner of Pine Street and Cluff Ave. I haven't had a bad meal from Peña's. They have an extensive menu to order from but a few of my favorites are their asada tacos, burritos and chilaquiles... you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. They give you grilled jalapeños and onions with their taco plate orders. Limes and jalapeños are available if you ask. Do yourself a favor and visit their Pine Street location. You'll know that you're in the right spot when you see the small gathering of people either eating their grub or waiting for their order. read more

We needed some food coming back home from our Thanksgiving vacation, and found this gem of a taco truck. Needing some relief from turkey, pies, and all the other holiday food we decided to get some burritos. These did NOT disappoint. We got two breakfast burritos made with chorizo, and my son got the super burrito with chicken. That thing was as big as my forearm. This is a great stop if you are cruising through this area on 99. Peñas is my favorite taco truck in Lodi. I've tried a lot of them but few have the same quality and consistency that Peñas has. I usually don't go to food trucks mostly because they have limited options and often poor quality, but that's not the case here. They have great refried beans, and salsa roja, which for me are a must. Also, breakfast burritos all day! Minus one star for two reasons: first, their pollo is steam tray like everyone else, not fresh grilled. Second, because you can't always count on the truck being at its spot. read more

Birria ramen was delicious! My only complaint would be the ramen noodle ratio to the birria meat, I was completely done with the noodles and left with a whole lot of meat at the bottom of the bowl. I've also tried to breakfast burrito and it was a large sized burrito that could actually serve 2 people lol, however, I can't pinpoint it, but it was missing something. Every time I drive through Lodi, I make sure to grab a bite at Peña's Taqueria. On my last visit, I ordered 3 Asada Tacos. The meat was flavorful and was topped with delicious salsa. The order of tacos comes with some radishes, limes, grilled onions, and a chille. Customer service is always so great and the cooks really put their best effort into every dish. Was introduced to this tick during the Lodi Taco Competition Festival. This truck by far had the best chicken tacos. The tacos are street style and come with perfectly grilled onion, Japan's and freshly sliced radish. I was beyond impressed and knew I had to have these tacos again- soon. Found this particular Penas taco truck (there are several Penas taco trucks in the area). However when I visited this truck again the tacos were not the same. The tortillas were dry, the tacos weren't as seasoned and juicy. It honestly was disappointing. Maybe they were having an off day... may try again for good measure. read more

This taco truck is legit! Ive tried multiple burrito places around here and this is hands down the best. Never would've thought this place cause the location. But the burritos are packed with flavors and authentic. Not massive in size, 8.8/10 in flavors and overall. Pretty generous when it comes to the meat and nice spicy salsa, not that El pollo loco weak sauce. Dont overthink and hit them up! read more

The sauces were also unique and I enjoyed alternating between them for a different experience each bite. My favorites were the Caesar and the spicy ketchup. My coworkers said they liked their orders as well. The garlic fries looked and smelled amazing but I didn't want garlicky breath for the rest of the conference, so I'll have to try those next time!
