Enjoyed my training session at Title. I went a little too hard initially and gassed out within the first 20 minutes. But after learning to pace myself a bit more and using more of my legs and hips, got the hang of it and enjoyed both the technical skills and aerobic workout. Boxing is both intuitive and counterintuitive to me. Shannon (great instructor) explained how clenching your fists or having tension in your arms counterintuitively leads to weaker punches. And that relaxing the arms up until the moment of impact is the most effective way to punch. It feels very unnatural, until it isn't. The legwork also feels counter-intuitve initially and then it starts to make sense (ex jab as your lead foot steps forward, cross off your back foot) Good mix of both men and women, beginners and intermediates. You'll get a sweaty intense workout (if you choose to go all in), and then off-ramped by some light core work and a cooldown stretch. Pro tip: come early if it's your first time. They recommend half an hour before class. They'll help you tape up your hands, pick the right sized gloves, and show you the basics. read more

My 8-year-old and 5-year-old sons attend Title Kickboxing, and we are very happy with this place! The coach, Mr. Giovanni, is very kind, patient, and professional. Update after coming here on and off for several months. ClassPass first timers will need to confirm their first reservation *over the phone* at least a day before class and will arrive for orientation 30 minutes before the class. It takes time to go over basic moves and to put hand wraps on. I've mostly attended the 9 am and 12 pm classes, which are nice because the class attendance is relatively small and you get more feedback from the instructor. Today I attended a 7:30 pm class for the first time and there were a LOT of people. If you're an independent person or feel comfortable with boxing, you'll be fine with the larger evening classes. If you're a newbie or want more instruction, it's better to attend morning classes if able. There's only one instructor after all and it's hard for them to help everyone in a 45 minute or 60 minute class while also giving class instructions for the exercise. (I did feel bad for a girl that seemed pretty new and lost that wasn't being helped who ultimately walked out before the 7:30 pm class was over.) As for the workout, there's a ~10 minute warm-up and stretches. Then there are alternating rounds of heavy bag work and "active rest" (choice to rest or exercise). The final 10 minutes are spent on core exercises and stretches. One disadvantage or advantage, depending on how you look at things, is that there is no boxing ring in this gym. There is no sparring or partner exercises. You will spend the entire class exclusively on your heavy bag or other exercises on the floor. It takes away overly competitiveness or potential hostile environment for newbies. However without partner work it's harder to train on managing your distance, timing, and putting everything you've learned together. For that reason I would say this boxing gym is more fitness-focused, although you can get helpful feedback from some of the instructors on form. Ultimately, I would say the instructors I've tried (Eberardo, Jason, Tom, Shannon) are helpful and encouraging. They do their best to motivate you through the entirety of the 45 or 60 minute work out and to teach you proper technique. I would recommend TITLE Boxing as a good place to get full body aerobic exercise. For people looking to get serious about boxing, I would suggest going to another gym altogether. read more

I've been attending this boxing gym for about 4 months now, and I originally joined with the goal of losing weight. I've seen amazing results. I train 4-6 days a week and noticed changes within just 3 weeks. I've lost a lot of body fat and gained muscle at the same time. The coaches here are great--very knowledgeable, attentive, and supportive. From day one, I always felt welcomed. The gym itself is clean, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere that keeps you motivated. In addition to group classes, I've been doing private lessons with Coach Giavanni, and the progress I've made in my footwork and striking has been huge. The one-on-one coaching really takes things to another level. Recently, I brought a friend with me for a free tryout class, and he ended up signing up right after--that says a lot about the quality of this gym. They also sell merchandise, including gloves, wraps, and clothing, which is super convenient. I'll never go back to a regular gym again. Its never open. I tried going 2-3 times. The hours are so crazy, they close around noon most days. like wtf!

My experience with Title Gym has been extremely disappointing. When I signed up, the process felt rushed--I was hesitant and even joked, "Ahh, I'm scared of commitment," to which the salesperson responded, "Isn't everyone these days? But you can cancel anytime." That reassurance directly influenced my decision to join. While the contract technically outlined the 30-day cancellation notice, the rushed and conversational nature of the sign-up process made it easy to miss. Their verbal reassurances led me to believe that canceling would be simple, which was not the case. When I later tried to cancel--after attending only one introductory class--I was told I'd be charged for an additional month. What makes this even more frustrating is that I signed up for the 8-classes-per-month package but haven't used any additional classes or drained the gym's resources in any way. I am now being charged for an extra month despite not utilizing the membership at all. I have formally requested that the final $180 charge be waived due to the misleading nature of my sign-up experience. If that's not possible, I have offered to pay immediately just to be done with this frustrating situation. I expected better communication and transparency from Title Gym. I've been going to this boxing gym for about two years. I love it. I get a great work out and I learn practical self-defense skills at the same time. The trainers are knowledgeable, show you what works in a match and give you individual attention when needed (if you ask or they see a teaching opportunity). Just starting going here and really love it. I've been taking classes with Tom and Eb who are both really wonderful. This is a solid workout and it's great to see a full class with regulars. Really happy I randomly stopped in. I was hesitant but after meeting Eb it was an easy decision to sign up. As a chiropractor, I really appreciate Tom's inclusion of a solid pre warm up with CARs (controlled Articular rotations, which you don't see often), and a great post workout core activation finisher. Super impressive. If you're looking for a great studio in a sort of convenient location (traffic on El Camino can be daunting), then I highly suggest this place. read more

The team here is so welcoming and make a genuine effort to get to know you. It's a great full body workout with a warm-up and 8 rounds of combination punching plus some core work at the end. I always leave here feeling great and have learned a lot about boxing technique. If you're thinking about checking out this club, do it. First class free! Title Boxing is located on El Camino in the same center as Smart N Final and Starbucks. If it's your first time, be sure to arrive 20 mins before class. Loaner boxing gloves are provided. Bring your own hand wraps or they have some for sale for $10. Would recommend buying from Title if you need wraps. We got a set of wraps from Target for $6.50, but they were shorter in length and not the best quality. Check-in was easy and we had assistance wrapping our hands. I took the 60 min kickboxing class. I've taken a kickboxing class once before, but it was different and the punching bags were a lot heavier here. Might be a good idea to start of with boxing if you're brand new. The class consists of a warmup, 8 rounds (3 mins long) and a min of active "recovery" aka exercises to keep your HR up, ending with core and stretch. Workout is tough and great way to let off steam. I found that the gloves and workout mats smelled musty/mildewy, but they were free loaner gloves. I appreciated that someone reached out after class to check in with us. Solid workout. read more

Went with class pass and it was better than I expected! The email said to show up 30 minutes early for a tour and tutorial which I thought was code for sales pushing sales but it actually was a 1 on 1 walkthrough of the basic punches. No sales pressure. Class wasn't crazy crowded and the teacher spent a good amount of time correcting form. read more

Like others say, first class is free and at that time they had a 20$ first month promotion going on for unlimited classes. I think it's a great deal for that. Two stars because the teachers are friendly and approachable. The desk ladies are nice too, but at the end of the day a bit unhelpful. Classes are pretty fun, and you can get a good workout in. Unfortunately, I had a really frustrating experience that really turned me off from this place. I tried to pause my membership ahead of time (like two weeks ahead), and the desk lady told me that they couldn't do it ahead of time and that I should come back later to get more classes in. They also (key point) told me I could only do it in person. I even asked if I could just call, but they said I could not. So I wait until the day my membership is supposed to be renewed to pause it. I make sure to go in person because the lady previously told me that I need to pause IN PERSON. When I get there, I see that I have already been charged. They are not willing to refund me for that month and instead prorate me for the following month. After emailing back and forth they firstly tell me that I DID NOT have to be in person to cancel and that I needed to pause a day before in order to not be charged. If their employee had imparted the CORRECT information to me (that I could email or call) I could have easily called the day before or just emailed. Since I had to go in person, I tried to do so on the day that was most convenient for me (a weekend). I tried to ask them for a refund for the immediate month but they only kept on repeating that they would prorate me the charges. They were not able to understand why someone would like to have an extra 165$ in their bank account for the coming month, and not having it sit in limbo for whole entire coming month. Originally, I was hoping that this would be a gym I could go to for the next several months. This experience made me just straight up cancel my membership with them as this overall comes across quite stingy. Clearly, their employees do not all have the same information and some may even give you the wrong information. When they do, and you suffer for it, they don't really care. I recommend you use Classpass or something so you can avoid these subscription headaches like these. FYI if you want to cancel a subscription ahead of time you also need 30 days or more. Another way to try and make sure you pay extra. read more

NEW YEAR NEW ME! I've been recommended this club by a friend from work, she's been talking it up to everybody and I said hey... the first class is free so I'll give it a go to see what the hype is all about. Went to the morning class on Saturday (8.45) with Eberardo. It was an intense 60 min, you start with some cardio to get your blood flowing and then you have at it. As a noob, Eberardo made sure I was looked out for and took it not necessarily easy, but slow, so I can get the technique right. The music was on point, old school rock and roll, although I've heard each trainer has their own style of music (and teaching). I loved it, I was dead tired but I was sold, signed up for it. I opted for 4 classes a month for $105, they also have an 8 class membership for $125. I was tempted on getting the latter, but Mountain View is a bit far from where I live. If you sign up for the class the day of your intro, you get a free pair of gloves! Other notes: Even for the free class, you will need to buy hand wraps ($10), as they don't do loaners on those. The loaner gloves STINK, so be aware. Staff is always friendly, happy and chatty. Why not 5 stars? At the end of each class, you are supposed to clean your medicine ball, punching bag and yoga mat (you will do some stretching), which is all good and dandy but not every person does it and I dont think relying on people to 'wash' their sweat with a wet napkin is very hygienic. They also smell preeeetty bad. I strongly believe and would advocate for them to clean the used mats at the end of the day, as well as the balls and bags. Not all mats are used so in the end it would not be too hard to do if you have two piles, one with unused/clean mats and one with dirty/used one. read more

They really welcome you and help give you great instruction and tips. I've really enjoyed it and it's been a great challenge for me. So motivating to work in such a fun class with some nice people. I also love how their membership options are reasonably priced too. They also have kickboxing, so jt's really nice. I have been a member here since Feb 2019. The owner, the General Manager, the front desk folks, the trainers all are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I'm not a gym person. I have never been able to stick to any kind of workout regiment... until this. I'm hitting (see what I did there) this place 3-4 times a week to workout. Not only a great way to relieve stress but you get taught real boxing technique. I've dropped 10 lbs and 13% body fat since May when you reopened. I did this with 0 diet changes. I saw some reviews that were not 4 or 5 star reviews... not sure how...or why... but.. your probably one of those people that do not read, follow direction or is very entitled and think that everything has to be your way. My favorite workout - I love that they've made me feel like part of the Title family. When I used to travel for my consulting job, it was always difficult to commit to workout classes because it was uncertain how long I'd stay in one location. Now, I finally have a workout class that I actually enjoy and can consistently attend at least once a week. Class: I've attended Title boxing classes in other cities and choose to return because I love the format of the class (personally prefer boxing over kickboxing, but both follow similar format). 15 min warm-up, 30 min of 8 boxing/kickboxing rounds, and 15 min core. Instructors are awesome and all have their own unique style. Hard not to love them when they know you by your name (S/O to Armand and David!) and fist bump you after every workout even while sweating through your clothes. Price: Pricing is pretty steep; luckily I get a wellness subsidy through work, but even that doesn't fully cover the cost. I currently pay $180 for 8 classes. There are cheaper options if you do an annual membership, but because there's only one studio in all of NorCal, I haven't been able to get myself to commit. They're willing to work with you though to figure out which pricing option works best based on your expected schedule. Overall, I'd say I'm pretty picky when it comes to workout classes. I love it when the class is fun, and the instructor is willing to change it up. Even though this isn't a cheap class, there's a reason I keep coming back. There's not much that beats punching the crap out of a bag non-stop for 30 min. read more

Not just helping you wrap, they also help you pick the right color for you. :) Instructor is very skilled, teach us technique step by step. I usually get bored easily but the almost one hour long boxing class is fun. Love how they break down the sessions. Very easy to focus and enjoy. Excellent! I did a class here on Saturday morning and it was awesome!! The staff are so friendly and will greet you right when you walk in. They had us sign a quick waiver and then they wrapped up our hands in the boxing pre-wrap stuff. It protects your hands inside the boxing gloves and will make you feel official! The instructor is excellent- Arya is a collegiate boxing champion, and the GM Tony is awesome too, all very friendly and engaging. The boxing consists of a warm up, 8 rounds of 3 minutes, and an an finisher. The instructors show you the boxing moves for each round and progress from basic to combinations. The facility is super clean, lots of space and they have a little mini store in the front. They play upbeat music and there are TV's that have the workout time and round on them. Honestly, I had so much fun and the workout went by super quick! Definitely will do it again- this is the only one like this in Northern California!! read more

I needed something different in my workout routine, and I am happy to say I found it! I've only been to two classes so far, one with Kim and the other with Tom. Both were just stellar! Kim and Tom both knew I was new to the workout, so they took time during class to help with my form and make sure I was doing things correctly. It was just enough attention to keep me going without making me feel just completely overwhelmed. After today's class, I decided that I'm going to buy a membership- it is that good! Everyone at the front desk is also such a class act. They obviously care about their gym and their clients, and really go out of their way to show that. I am so excited for my next class! A boxing class from TITLE was featured on ClassPass so I decided to give it a try. I went to a class taught by Kim and I LOVED it!! She was a great instructor and really made sure that we got an awesome workout in! The set-up to the gym is different than the average boxing gym (I've been to 3 boxing gyms total my whole life, the other 3 looked the same and this one did not). They have one speed bag, 1 elliptical, 1 treadmill, and then rows of 100 pound punching bags that take up the majority of the gym. The class I took (boxing 60) was divided up into the warm-up (interval style warm-up), the boxing round (you box for 8 rounds), and then a section that just focuses on the core. It was a perfect workout for someone like me that just wanted to try something new but not necessarily become the next million dollar baby. The class was dynamic and intense and I would definitely go back! I also want to try their kickboxing class because it's supposed to be fun and a great workout as well! read more

My coworker convinced me to take a Boxing class with her, so I signed up for the initial free class with Kim. It's my first time boxing and I really don't know what I expected, but pleasantly surprised after my first visit! We came a little late since it's suggested 15 mins prior if you're new for introductions and teaching the basics, but the front desk was pretty accommodating. Boxing gloves are available, but be warned - they leave a really funky odor (probably from all the sweat) on your hands after taking them off. We started off with some cardio in the beginning (i.e. mountain climbers, high knees, etc.) and then moved into some simple boxing combos. Kim was really helpful and she made sure that she walked me through the basics so I didn't feel lost during the class! I signed up for the hour-long class, so I think there's like 8 short rounds of boxing. There's definitely a lot of room with a lot of punching bags, so you never feel too close to someone else and you have a lot of space to move around while boxing. Lastly, we finished with some muscle toning. Boy, by the end of the workout, I was drenched in sweat and huffing & puffing, since Kim is really intense and energetic! She really pushes you to keep going and tough it out. Definitely would recommend her class for all you other first-timers! :) Overall, really enjoyed my first boxing experience. At first I was a little nervous that I would feel super lost and not know what I was doing, but thanks to the TITLE Boxing Club team, they made sure that they walked me through everything and showed me the ropes! read more

Came here for a yelp elite event. It was my first time ever boxing and it was a great class that catered to beginners and all levels. I realized that I am definitely not a boxer but if you're looking for an great arm workout, this is the place. I can already tell my arms are going to be sore. The instructors are good, and the workout is as intense as you can push yourself. It's difficult to see the instructor when he demonstrates since there's so many punching bags in the way. For many years I tried to get back in shape by going to the gym on and off. I'd go for a couple weeks, then I'd give up due to boredom and out right laziness. Going to the gym to run on a treadmill was the manifestation of hell on earth for me. For years I wanted to try out boxing and got my chance when some coworkers convinced me to try a boxing class with them at my company's gym. The class was only once a week but I enjoyed it enough to where I looked for a boxing gym near me to take it further. That's when I found Title Boxing Club and I've been hooked since. Been a member for about 2 months now and everyone at Title is extremely friendly and attentive. The trainers are very motivating/professional and they each have their own unique teaching styles. Regardless of who is teaching, you will get a great workout. My very first class was with Jenni... Her class kicked my ass but I was hooked! When I signed up for a membership, my plan was to just come in on weekends but now I come at least 4 times a week. Turning my mind off to the outside world to hit the bag has been such a great way to de-stress and build confidence. I feel better mentally and I've also shed 10 pounds (this is with a combination of dieting). My only regret was not joining earlier. Went to check this gym out as it's quite close to home. Things started off fine - told front desk I was there for a trial class, I filled out a form, and one of their staff chatted with me while I wrapped my hands. Then class started and the instructor seemed great. 10minutes into warmup, the staff person I was talking to comes to me and says I have to wear shoes. Ah, sorry, no shoes. Other places I've boxed at never have problems with or even prefer bare feet (e.g. UFC gym's bag room is padded and you're barefoot or in boxing shoes). She explained that hygiene is the issue. I get that. They have spray bottles of cleaner - I said I'd wipe my area down after class. Not acceptable to her. It's not like it's a barefoot mat and I'm wearing shoes on to it. Quite the opposite - it's a mat where you wear shoes and I didn't realize shoes were required. It was NOT on their webpage. She insisted I leave the class. We're now 15mins into the session. I had to collect all my things in front of the rest of class and trail after her, like some juvenile delinquent. Quite the worst experience I've had in almost 10 years of kickboxing and boxing classes. Being walked off the mat. Why didn't she say something when I signed in? Or when we were chatting at the mat before class started? Or even as soon as class started? Once I was 10mins into it - and mentally in my workout zone - and then to be hauled off. Utter nonsense. And not accepting cleaning with their own spray bottles of cleaner - are they using water? She should have let me finish out my workout, let me wipe my area down and I'd have worn shoes the next time. Again, shoes being required was NOT on their webpage. I'm never going back. read more
