These young men worked their asses off in 104° heat, having to cart everything down the long driveway since they couldn't get the truck in due a couple of issues. I felt so bad for them & was really worried about them... gave them water & even had Travis & Em p/u Gatorade for them. All of this to say, I highly recommend using D.C. Moore & Son. The employees, yes... employees not random day laborers, are fantastic... the cost is competitive. The movers came to my home 1 hour late from the agreed time. They came unprepared and did not bring tape to wrap up my furniture. The movers also came to my home HIGH as can be and worked in slow motion, one decided to come to my house in slippers to move heavy furniture. While disassembling some of the furniture in my home, it was communicated that one of my office desks could not be disassembled as it will take about an hour to do so. My husband and father in law took care of it in a matter of 5 minutes. This is how high the movers were. They clearly were too incompetent to take care of this. After driving the furniture to the new home, the movers realized that they left all of their tools at my old house which ended up taking me an hour total to pick up the tools from the old house and bring it to the new house. To top all of this off, the owner communicated he would reimburse an hour for this and he lied and never did. We were charged an extra hour for this inconvenience because his men couldn't do their job right. The movers ended up chipping some of the framing in the new house for one of our doors and ended up cracking the brand new tile when moving in our furniture (mind you this is a rental I'm living in). Once everything was moved into the new home, i was going to make a payment with my credit card and was told that the owner only accepts cash which he never communicated to begin with. I explained to the owner that i didn't have the cash but would give him a check and he could cash it within one week. The owner Jason started yelling and swearing at me uncontrollably on the phone and ended the call. The movers refused to leave my house until payment was made even though we only had a card to pay with. Luckily I was able to contact a family member to let me borrow the funds however I was scared for my life and my family's life. This has been by far the worst moving company EVER! I wouldn't recommend them not even to my worst enemy. Save your money and go with another moving company. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in my lifetime. I am just very disgusted and disappointed with the owner and the men he hired to do the job! Responding to the owners comment: I am speaking the truth and I am sorry that you are upset by this. Between traffic and the time it takes to get to one house and then back to the other house yes it took a total of 1 hour that you never refunded. You never communicated the payment method when we initially spoke and I did in fact communicate how many bedrooms and all the furniture we had. Straight Path Moving was one of the worst moving experiences I've ever had…read more When I booked the move, I was told pricing was straightforward and everything was included. Halfway through the move, after much of my furniture had already been wrapped, I was suddenly informed that I would be charged $20 for every moving blanket used because the destination was a storage unit. This was never disclosed during booking. At that point, I was given the choice to either pay for the blankets or have my belongings unwrapped. That's not a real choice when your move is already underway. What was most frustrating wasn't the charge itself--it was the complete lack of upfront communication. Had I been told beforehand, I could have purchased my own blankets or made a different decision. Instead, the information was withheld until it was too late to do anything about it. Things got worse when the truck broke down on the way to the storage unit, leaving my husband waiting for approximately two hours. While breakdowns happen, there was no apology, no effort to make things right, and no discount offered for the inconvenience. The only concession was that they stopped the clock during the delay. The final issue occurred at the storage unit. The crew stopped unloading in order to secure payment before completing the job. I've moved multiple times, both locally and across state lines, and I've never had a moving company refuse to finish unloading until payment was made. It escalated into an argument and only after significant back-and-forth were we able to reach a compromise so they would continue unloading our belongings. I expect moving companies to be transparent, professional, and communicative. Instead, I encountered surprise charges, poor communication, equipment failures, and payment tactics that left me feeling uncomfortable and pressured. This review is not about wanting anything for free. It's about honesty and transparency. If there are storage blanket charges, tell customers before the move. If you require payment before unloading is complete, disclose that before booking. Customers deserve to know the full terms upfront so they can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

They didn't waste any time jumping right in and getting everything loaded. They wrapped all our furniture with padding, blankets, and shrink wrap so it was protected in the move and they were always cautious about making sure they didn't scrape any walls or door jams. I priced about 6 moving companies when I was planning my move and I felt like Legend Movers had the most reasonable rates. Due to some unforeseen circumstances that were out of my control, I had to cancel our original move date with them on very short notice. Sky was so gracious and kind when I explained everything. He was very accommodating and reassured me it wasn't a problem. I was recommending him to my friends based on the level of customer service he provided at that time and the actual move exceeded my expectations. I was a bit stressed because of different items going different places, and they remembered better than I did where everything was going.
