Been doing a lot of driving to and from Miami, Orlando and Ocala ~ needed to get an oil change and rotation of my tires before the Memorial Day weekend ~ having been a long time member of the Tire Plus Advantage Plan, I decided that I had time to do my maintenance while I got fuel and had a bite to eat across the street (Cracker Barrel)~ it is right off the FL Turnpike at exit 350 (SW College Road or better known as SR 200). My friend had 2 tires blow out. We waited 3 hours for AAA to never show up. We called Tires Plus and asked about a tow. They gave us the name of a driver who came in 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly and honest. The service manager gave my friend several options. We were updated each step of the way. The employees were hard working and friendly. If I could go lower I would. Not honest , and throw prices from here to there. Only consistent in being dishonest. For 4 years I was told I need rear brakes even when my truck was new. The annoying sound started Tuesday and I had my truck in on Thursday and was quoted a new price no 3 different prices in the span of 8 hours. Now of course my rotars are gone in 2 days. I have been going to Tires Plus for years now, but only been to this location twice, the first time I went, they winded up giving me a tune up, and all was good, when I went in 2 weeks ago because my car was overheating, they said they will take a look at my car, and see what's going on...about an hour later I saw and heard the mechanic say "well that's that" didn't sound too good, and didn't know what he meant, I went to get up and look and saw that my car was parked out front and not in the back, he had to be talking about my car, and plus I knew with them bringing it back to the front without telling me anything first that was a bad sign...soon after the guy called me up there to the front (tell me why all of his employees were all just standing not too far from him listening to his every word) and tells me like this verbatim...Ms-----there's nothing we can do for your car, your head is blown, its leaking coolant, its out of our expertise for us to do anything, I'm standing there shocked, I'm like there's no other place I can take it to? he was like you can try mom and pop shop but it will be over 4,000 dollars to fix your car, I don't recommend you doing that because you have an old car, I don't recommend you drive it, and I recommend you buy another car, we won't charge you for our service and testing, devastated I said thank you and walked out...how about I find out a week later I can get my head gasket replaced, its gonna cost at least a grand, but still, nowhere near 4000 like this man said....I am completely pissed off that this man told me this like I didn't have other options at a certain price to fix this!! this shit made me mad!!!! no compassion, no empathy, nothing really, and that also pissed me off.....people if you get that kind of advice immediately get a second and even third opinion, it would have saved me some time and heartache had I known the truth then....the best part of all of that? they didn't charge me, but I I'd rather been charged and told the truth, then to to be dismissed like that!!! and what's worse is I had went to Firestone first!!! Okay for tires and minor repairs, but do not believe a word they say. My bill was hiked beyond belief for a major repair. I was lied to repeatedly, told all four tires had dry rot and were dangerous to drive on. I took the car to Tireman, had the tires inspected, and was told that they were fine. TP is run by sharks. If you need a tire, okay, but don't throw your money away on lies and drastic overcharges. read more

I had a tire split on the highway on the way up to Gainesville, and this Tires Plus was the only shop around that had my size tire. I was worried I wouldn't have enough time to get to the shop before they closed and would have to spend the night in Ocala. Waited 3 freaking hours for an alignment just to tell me I couldn't get an alignment, wasting my fucking time

Moved to Ocala in March. Needed an oil change and truck checked, not running right. I had it serviced at Tires Plus in Clearwater a few months before. In Clearwater they put on a new intake gasket on a warped valve. Luis re-did the job at no cost to me. He and his staff are wonderful!! read more

My old foreign car was so badly in need of a brake job. Tires Plus did a quality job. The man I talked to on the phone was friendly and helpful. I dropped my car off at 9 a.m., they called me at noon to discuss what needed to be done--which was a lot of work--and it was done by 3 p.m. , even though it was clear they were very busy. I liked that they alerted me to what else they discovered needed work on the car; It's good to know if there's impending danger. They gave me a fair estimate then let me choose what I wanted them to work on. So much had to be done that the total price was a little expensive, but they did a good job, and I think they were honest with me and treated me fairly. Most of the parts are guaranteed for 2 years or 24,000 miles. I'd rather pay a few bucks more for a good job than save money on a bad job that endangers my life on the road. read more

Absolutely wonderful and kind! My husband and I were on our way home from Gainesville to Sarasota and we had car trouble. We pulled in to this location and informed the man at the counter of our situation. He took the car right back, informed us where we could get some food at a walking distance and had our car done by the time we were done eating. They informed us they were not able to charge us for the service and told us to have a nice day! It was a blessing and we are so greatful for their great customer service and kindness. read more

While on a road trip, I stopped here to get assistance in checking my oil. The store manager, Harle, and his mechanic Hayes, were wonderful! They confirmed my suspicion that my oil was low and filled it up and had me on the road very quickly. They provided excellent customer service, were very personable, and went above and beyond to check everything including tire pressure - free of charge. read more

I made an appointment for 4:30. Didn't take my car back till 5:15. What's the point of making an appointment?

A few weeks ago, I took my lowered 1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24 to get an alignment done. In the past, both me and my boyfriend (who owns a lowered 2000 Chevy Cavalier X24 and a lowered 1995 VW Passat VR6) have taken our lowered cars here for alignments with no issues. This was not the case this time with my lovely lady. After roasting my front tires, slamming my exhaust and breaking my passenger skirt getting her up on the machine, the manager comes in and tells me my driver wheel hub was broke. I ask to see it and the wheel has a bit of play in it. The cost for the part (plus the alignment) was going to be over 200$, so I kindly ask if they'd put my car back together (they had already removed the wheel and hub) so that I could go and purchase the hub, install it and return. They straight out told me no. After some pressuring, the manager, rudely, told me to go get the part and they'd install it (also commenting how this would get him fired, since it's "illegal"). However, they STILL would not put my car back together. So I walk to my job and talk to the tech's there (they were very backed up, or I'd have the alignment done there in the first place). After about an hour, Tires Plus calls and tells me they have my Cavalier back together and the hub is fine. They ask me if I'd like the alignment and I tell them no. The man (again, rudely) says "Fine, whatever) and hangs up on me. A friend takes me to get my car and it takes them nearly 15 minutes to "find" my keys. Overall, they we're EXTREMELY unprofessional. I wound up getting my alignment done at my job, but have still not replaced/repaired the skirt they broke or my now dented exhaust. read more

Purchased four new tires and had them installed in May 2018, with warranty...I drive less than 10 miles total to work and back every day and in the past three months two of the tires have gone flat- they were not punctured by anything and nothing was wrong with the rims, the tires are simply poor quality. The worst part is when I bring the car back in to have the tires replaced, they first try saying there is nothing wrong with the clearly flat tires, and then you have to argue with them to get them to remedy the situation. read more

My car broke down while on a road trip from out of state. The tow truck driver took us to Tires Plus, and that was the best thing to happen to us all day. From the friendly service by Louis at the desk, to the knowledgable, friendly, quick service from the mechanic, Jay, it was a great experience. Jay diagnosed and fixed the problem in 20 minutes. You can tell he really knows what he's doing. Louis was extremely friendly and even gave my daughter a balloon to help keep her occupied. Keep in mind this was all on a Friday evening after 6pm!
