I called and made an appointment for an oil change. They gave me a time to come in. I showed up exactly on time and waited an hour and 15 mins for my car to never be taken back. I have only taken my cars to a Tires Plus for oil changes and never wait more than 45 min. My car is typically taken back within 15 mins of my appointment time. They guy in the front office straight up told me they had a large shipment of tires come in BEFORE they booked my appointment.. then why did you tell me to come in? It was very inconsiderate. I didn't have a stellar or a horrible experience here. I made a reservation online to do an oil change the next day without any issues. I was promptly greeted and helped when I first arrived (about 9 am on a Tuesday morning). Staff were cordial and pleasant enough. Though I didn't have the coupon for the discounted oil change, they still gave me the lower rate, which was nice. I also didn't have the service time issues that other reviewers have mentioned. The staff did inform me of some other needs for my car (air filter and new tires), but I wasn't pressured to have it done that day. That was good. My only complaint would be that I specifically asked them to check the air pressure on all the tires and fill them up if needed. I knew one for sure needed more air... But when I left, I definitely could see no air was put in that tire. Normally, I would just go and inquire again but I was in a rush to get to another appointment. I went to check the psi of my tires later, and my suspicion was confirmed. Oh well. I came in just for the oil change so I guess I can't complain that my need wasn't met. Overall, okay place to come... But I did find better prices for all the other services they quoted me for. It's convenient to where I live so it might just be a simple oil change place for me instead of other services. read more

My first experience did not go so well. After explaining what happened with the Tires Plus online survey I received a call the next morning from the manager apologizing for the miscommunication that happened. He explained to me how much he values customer service and appreciated the feedback so he can better his store. That means a lot to me and I'm impressed with the managers concern to make things right. I'll visit again for my next service and see how thing have improved. read more

I never leave reviews but this place was so bad I literally feel like any potential customer needs to know. I waited 4HRS for just 2 new tires, and it took 2HRS before they even took in my car. The initial interaction with the front desk lady was just awkward, she literally just held out her hand for my keys and didn't say anything. The guys are wondering around the entrance instead of in the back working, saying they're "short staffed" when they're literally just hanging out front. No one, not once, apologized for the wait or the inconvenience. The elderly lady before me also waited 4HRS, & the manager was literally ARGUING with her when she asked for a discount for her wasted time. Multiple people came in & would wait in line for 10mins before greeted, and half of them were turned away bc "they didn't have time", even those who scheduled an appointment. They told one lady they couldn't do an oil change for her, and then a guy walks in for one & they allow him. Just plain rude & inconsiderate. Like, if you're going to waste someone's time, & they're PAYING YOU, at least let them be aware it'll take forever, if they're even accepted at all??? Literally the worst place, please don't give them business they don't deserve. read more

I must confess, I had avoided Tire Plus before because I was shopping purely on price, looking for a cheap tire. But the bottom line is you get what you pay for and that includes good service. In contrast to my earlier dismal experience with Pepboys, Tires Plus was a first rate experience I would happily repeat. My 245R45-20 tires won't be found in stock at most places (I now realize) so it no longer bothers me that they have to be ordered. I ordered mine at 6:30 pm Friday and not only did Tires Plus have them early the next morning, they called to tell me they arrived. The Tires Plus service consultant told me how long it would take and what it would cost drive out. It was not a minute longer and not a dollar more than what she said and that's what I like. No surprises. What I also like are clean service bays and a professional staff. (PepBoys take note!). read more

This place is amazing! They have checked my car a few times at no cost and even refilled my coolant for free. When they couldn't fix the problem, they referred me to another great place and the inspection from TiresPlus was at no cost! This will always be my first place to go when I have trouble with my car - they have amazing customer service and do a thorough job. another plus - they put a tire on my spare rim for $15! I had a two truck drop my car off for a new tire. I was quoted $168 over the phone. When we get there. The manager. A young black lady comes out and states she is the manager and "I don't know where you think your parking this car and if you think we are fixing it today. You might as well leave it on the truck and go". After we get past the first interaction. She then brings out an order for $389. Says that I have run flats and she can't add a normal tire to the rotation. My two truck driver over heard the conversation and asked if we can just purchase the tire then for $168 and get it put on some other place. She replies "mind your business. You don't know what your talking about your just a fucking tow truck driver". Tells me that she is refusing my service. I never said a word. Not one word. Then threatens to call the police. Long story short. My tow truck driver found another place that replaced my tire for 150 and he didn't charge me for the extra distance for the trip. Stay away from this place. The manager needs some training on how to deal with customers. Poor customer service skills. The workers had to hold her back from fighting. Sad. read more

I visited these guys sometime last year as I recalled. The front guy was friendly and helpful with informing me of my drive belts needing to be replaced and the oil change came out to be a grand total of $22.57 not bad for a van. The only put off was, I was with two children and had an injured foot, instead of parking my van upfront so I could easily get to it They parked it at the end of the last row. I had to find someone inside to drive it up for me arghh! Next time guys pay close attention to the individual customer and their needs. I'm giving you 3 stars. read more

This place is owned by Firestone parent company Bridgestone and I'll hate to say it, this place is a big rip off but not on the scale as Firestone. The good thing is the staff here is more friendly than Firestone and management appears to be a bit more respectful. Ok so here's my issue, I came here to get my power steering system fixed and it never could get resolved. After taking it to a traditional mechanic it got fixed. So I decide to give this place a shot with the oil changes and tire rotation crap and even purchasing new tires. Well after 5 months of using some new tires from Tires Plus I got tipped off that my tires was going bad after only 6000 miles and these tires supposed to last for only 25000 miles. So I decide to call Tires Plus and explain my situation to them. Well a sales associate picked up the phone and immediately got on the offensive. He was trying to make it seems like I was trying to defraud the company and I was a complete liar and on top of that he kept calling me the word BOY. Well I'll have you know this guy I was speaking to was a white guy and I wasn't no where close to angry nor disrespectful to this guy. Some how he already had his mind made up that I was trying to cheat his store location despite the fact my car was not even in the shop for them to look at! I was just trying to see what was their company tire warranty agreement because I lost my paperwork. Well I decided to come down there in person and speak with a manager so I could get the district manager contact information. Coming to find out the guy who was talking to me on the phone in that manner was a Service Manager and everybody knew about what he had said to me because another black guy was next to him at the time. So another manager refused to give me the District Manger contact information saying oh I'll just speak with him and that was case close. No formal apology, no days in the street for this guy and no type of follow up on the incident. After this I left all Bridgestone subsidaries alone and vowed to never return. Hey listen, ignore these comments form people in corporate who make it seems like they care about your complaints in reality they don't. Purchased tires and the lifetime warranty for aliment and road hazard. Now, I am stuck with them for the life of this car anyway. 2nd visit for the ailment + oil change with appointment nearly 2 hours of in-house wait time. BRUTAL! People all stacked up in there. 3rd visit replace tire with bubble in it due to pot holes in ATL. They had it all day. When I picked it up they had me drive it out of the garage. There has to be a OSHA law on that. Before I arrived home the tire hazard light was on and the new tire had 85+ PSI in it! It blew the stick out of my gauge! Should have been 35 PSI - totally unsafe! I will return but only for aliment and tires, even then I will double check their work. I wouldn't trust them to my engine!!! read more

This place is pretty cool. As a female, I'm somewhat uncomfortable getting service to my vehicle because I think they'll try to up sell me or inflate rates, but the oil change for my car is most often always $20 (even though I don't always present a coupon). Now, they will tell you what's wrong with your vehicle or what services your vehicle can use, but they don't try to pressure you into purchasing said recommendations. Also, they're usually always busy, so if you can, make an appointment. I would give them 5 stars, but A) there's a female there, Shan, who always seems to have a "chip on her shoulder" with me and B) the waiting area is kinda dirty. I mean I know it's a car place, but they could update the waiting area. . .wipe down the seats and table, sweep/mop and maybe put a vending machine or free minibar for customers. read more

I have been to this location at least three times in the last six months. Different cars/problems every time. Unfailingly the employees are polite and extremely straightforward. I never feel like they are trying to upsell me. Every time I have had work done it has been less money than I expected. Today they checked and filled my tires for free even though it was my first time bringing in that vehicle and they had not sold me the tires. We tried on a Saturday to bring my wife's car in for a slow leak. We called to make sure they were open and could fix the problem and they told us to come on in, they could fix it. So we show up and they tell us that they are really busy, it would be better if we could come back tomorrow. We go back the next day first thing in the morning. We were 3rd in line. They asked when we would pick it up, and we said around 3. They told us it should be ready by then. We told them to call us if there were any problems with fixing the tire. We also ask that they change the oil while they had it. We get back at 3:30. My wife noticed afterwards that they tried to call her around 3:25, but she ignored the call since we were pulling into the shop around that time. They still had her car on the lift, and had apparently just started on it. They also couldn't fix the tire, and had just started on the oil change. Then the guy tried to pressure my wife into buying tires. If they had called earlier in the day, we might have considered buying tires, but we were not going to wait around for another several hours while they installed new tires. My wife said no, and the guy kept pressuring her to buy tires. Overall, it was a terrible experience. We won't be back. There are better tire places that don't take 2 trips and 7 hours to determine that a slow leak can't be fixed. We have no idea if they do good work because we don't have enough time to wait around and find out. read more

This might be the worst place to drop off your car. God forbid you leave your car and anticipate a call. Two separate times I had to call days after service to see if my car was ready and it had been ready for a day and a half. Kevin at the front may be the slowest, most incompetent representative I've ever had to work with. Please avoid this place at all cost unless you enjoy wasting time. If there was one positive it is Sinovia (probably misspelled sorry!) - she was very communicative, gave me updates, basically bypassed the front desks to assure my customer satisfaction. Ripped off by Tires Plus- Consumer fraud! Sold me an Interstate battery after a day of claiming battery was coming from warehouse, I got a cheap knock off battery that was not Interstate and made in Mexico with 5 year guaranty. Next morning car would not start- they did not even tighten the battery clamps. One month later corrosion on the posts. Regional manager said they ran out of Interstate batteries and would make it good. Never heard back. read more

Poor poor poor. The folks working here were not rude or unpleasant. They advertise tire install for fifty-nine minutes I was there almost two hours. They told me it was taking longer because he could not get the tire on the rim. I have had tires done before at other places that had no problems. They guy working on my tire was moving as if the fifty-nine minute sign above him was an invite for suckers. Then the lady checking me out said she was ready for me then started talking to the rent-a-car lady. I tell you what, if I'm in a pinch again it will NOT be me being suckered. read more

Very good customer service. I don't get my tires replaced from large chain dealers but for simple plugs or alignments this is a good place to go. You could definitely find cheaper new tires somewhere else but they are open on Sunday if you're in need of a repair they rock. read more

I am sure this is not typical or they would not be in business anymore, but they need to know what I experienced and make changes. I called Friday afternoon they gave me a price and said it would take about 1-2 hours max so I made an appointment later online for 10AM the next day. I dropped the car off at 9:55 AM. They had the tires onsite so they expected no delays. The estimate they handed me after I dropped my car off was about $50 more than what they said on the phone for the same exact tires. OK, I needed to get the work done so I sucked it up. They said they would call me after inspecting the brakes. At 11:30 AM I had not heard back yet si I went by to see what the delay was and my car was sitting in the same spot - untouched. I asked for my keys back and left. read more

I'd come back. I came in for new tires, which they had couriered over (my tires were in BAD shape and I needed new ones asap). I came in at 3 and was given a wait time of 1 hour. I had to run to a wedding, so I asked about progress after an hour. The mechanic came out with a work order marked "4:30." They quickly finished putting the tires on and were only about 10 minutes later than I was originally promised. I was more annoyed about the bad math than anything else. I assume that they were managing their time based on that bad math. I was given a $60 discount to make up for the inconvenience. read more

I went to Tires Plus Decatur to have 4 new tires installed on my little Ford Festiva for the first time ever after I got a long overdue flat tire. I was super stressed out after getting the flat and randomly searched for a place to put some tires on my car. Tires Plus Decatur was the first place that came up and I am so glad it did! The person I spoke with (Elton) was very helpful in finding me find tires that fit my car, because the tires are an unusual size and kind of hard to get. After talking with Tires Plus a few times, I was relieved when they all answered my questions patiently and with a good attitude. When the tires arrived, I was called and immediately brought the car in and they had the new tires on within an hour on the same day! Not only did they have the tires on promptly, but my car has never felt better and the wheel alignment they did was fantastic! Everyone that works there is awesome! I am a very happy customer and will definitely use Tires Plus Decatur in the future and highly recommend it to anyone who needs tires and plus for their car. :) read more

This is one of those place that you go in for an oil change and theyll try to sell you a brand new engine replacement or a set of tires recommendation force upon you. W.T.F? I took my car there to get an alternator replaced. Tires Plus held on to my car for three days, I had to call to get a status update, and every time I did they would tell me to call back at the end of the day. When I finally got my car back it stopped working two days later, I had to get it towed back to them. Then they held it for two more days and said it was the starter and the battery. After getting my car back it stopped working within a week. I decided to see another mechanic. The mechanic took a look at my car and ran a diagnostic and came to the conclusion that since the problem was a bad starter and alternator, that Tires Plus sold me two defective parts. He fixed it and I have had no problems since. Tires Plus on Dekalb Industrial is a rip off! read more

I had to get to work in Gwinnett County...I stopped in at 8:00 and asked if they had time to mount the tire. What a great visit -- 10 minutes later I was on my way! No charge and nothing but smiles. I dropped off my car almost 2 weeks ago after it stalled out. When I dropped it off, I was led to believe it would be ready in a couple of days. I call back every couple of days to check on the progress and every time I call there is something they missed, or they installed a part wrong or a combination of both. I was once a loyal customer of this place and have spent a significant amount of money here over the last ten years buying tires and other services for our vehicles. Those days are over and I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. During the last two visits they have tried to sell me things that I did not need or want, and have undermined the trust and confidence established during our long-time customer relationship. Today I brought in my Honda Odyssey to have the warrantied Interstate battery replaced at a pro-rated cost. (This is the brand of battery that they sell.) I agreed to a diagnostics check of the electrical system for $24.99. They called me in a reasonable amount of time and told me that I had a bad alternator and that they would not replace/pro-rate the battery unless I also had the alternator replaced, which would cost $400. I called my mechanic, who had already checked the van and pronounced the alternator fine, and he was skeptical, still thinking that it was only the battery. I shared this information with Tires Plus, but they insisted that they would not honor the warranty on my Interstate battery until I had the alternator replaced. I took the van back to my mechanic and he tested the battery again (test confirmed it needed replacement). He also re-tested the voltage coming from the alternator with two different meters, both reading slightly above 14 volts, which indicated that the alternator did not need to be replaced. On my mechanic's recommendation, I went to Advance Auto parts (where they will test your electrical system for FREE) to purchase a new battery. They tested my system, and confirmed again that the battery was bad and the alternator was fine. So I bought a replacement battery at Advance, and now the van cranks like a champ when I start it. So after four separate trips to three different locations, taking up half the day, I finally ended up with a new battery as originally intended. However, I had to purchase this battery at full price, rather than at the pro-rated price supposedly covered at Tires Plus. I am sure that Interstate Battery would also be interested in knowing that this Tires Plus location is not honoring their product warranty. In addition, during my previous visit to Tires Plus I had a four-wheel alignment done, and the guy tried to upsell me two new tires. These two tires were more worn than the other two, but there was plenty of tread wear left. (The wear bars were still significantly deep and plenty of Lincoln's head was covered in the penny test.) After I rebuffed his sale attempts, he promised to rotate the tires, along with the wheel alignment, to distribute the wear. However, when I picked up the van, I was disappointed to see that the tires had not been rotated. If you tell me you are going to do something, then do it. This experience was annoying, but the battery/alternator experience was the nail in the coffin. There seems to be a lot of staff turnover at this Tires Plus location, which also doesn't lend itself to building a relationship with the customer. From my experience, all these folks want to do is sell you things you don't need. There are many other options out there. Try them. Tires Plus, you lost a long-time customer today. read more

We were once loyal patrons of this tires plus location however, our 2 most recent experiences have confirmed we will never visit again. A couple months ago, we brought in our beater car for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I called ahead of our visit to ensure they could get the work done soon, as we would have a toddler with us and wouldn't want to risk sudden tantrums, etc. After we arrive, we're told they won't be able to get to it for at least 3 hours. I state that we had just called and were told we'd be in and out within an hour, and 3 hours was not acceptable. They say they'll get it done within 1.5 hours instead. We busy ourselves (toddler in tow) for the 1.5 hours, return and notice the car hasn't been moved at all. They didn't touch the car yet. I raise hell, they begrudgingly put the car on the lift, and then say there's an oil leak somewhere and they can't change the oil. At this point, we're livid. I called the manager's hotline, haven't received a call back. I called corporate, haven't heard a peep. They didn't change the oil OR rotate the tires, they just ADDED oil because they said they couldn't change the filter. WTF TIRES PLUS. Most recently, I needed an AC performance check and had a coupon for one, and called once, was told that wouldn't be a problem but to call back before bringing it in on a Saturday or Sunday. I call this past Sunday and was told no, we don't do that here, we don't have a tech for that, and to call back. I call back on Tuesday and was told we don't have a tech to do that at all. As in, there is not an AC tech employed at a car maintenance and repair location that specifically says they work on AC. We're so dismayed at this location's service (or lack thereof) that we won't be visiting ANY OTHER tires plus location, either. Save your time and money and take your car somewhere else! read more

Horrible experience! Went to have an oil change to get ready for a road trip and decided to do the "summer care package" which included tire rotation and balance, as well as top off winshield wiper fluid and system check. Well they never added the wiper fluid (my light was on), had to bring it back and they gave no explanation as to why they didnt do it the 1st time. The kicker was....I went on my road trip (600 miles) and to make a long story short....broke down in the middle of nowhere. I thought my front axle had broken. Had to abandon my car at some gas station, pay to get a ride to my destination, rent a car for the duration of the trip. I go back to retrieve my car, ready to replace the axle and turns out that my front tire was hanging on by only one lug nut! It wasnt the axle at all, but rather, when they rotated my tires, they didnt tighten the lug nuts properly and thoughtout my trip, they fell out one by one until it was being held on by only one! I am so lucky the tire didnt fly off or cause an accident but this was simple gross neglect and put my family in danger. I incurred so many extra expenses due to this, not to mention stress and an almost ruined vacation. Id give them zero stars if it would let me read more

I went in for new tires. The first thing that irritated me was the guy looked at my car and told me I needed an alignment (It drove just fine). DIdn't drive it, didn't get it up on the machine, but knew I needed one. BS. He tells me it'll take a half hour to get it done, so I come back an hour later and it still hadn't been finished. It takes another hour, so thats TWO hours I had to wait. Then afterwards I realize the Road Hazard protection was automatically put on my bill, I ask him to take it off but was "Too late" because the tires had already been on and it was the only way to get the "Deal" for the four tires. Sure they are nice, but thats only so they can suck as much money out of you before you've left the store. Seriously, there are much better places, believe it or not, that wont suggest things you don't need or add things on your bill without bringing it up. Try your luck with another place. read more

Stay away! Equipment is not in good shape, tires are not first quality and staff is not honest. I gave them a shot for several sets of tires on multiple cars in our family and every time was disappointed by the life of the tires, sometimes as little as half what indicated. I should have had my head examined for continuing to go back, but the manager Val was always so nice. I'd upgrade the quality of the tires hoping for better results, but still the same. I had trouble with wobble in the drive, took the car back for re-balancing multiple times. On one occasion another customer was there complaining loudly about the same thing. I overheard one of the technicians say that he had complained that the balancing equipment needed replacing, but had not been. They told me I had aluminum wheels and one was probably bent. I found out later from the dealership that my wheels are not aluminum and not bent. All I can say is I know from a lot of experience with this shop that you should find another store. read more

i bought two new tires in june. yesterday while driving to work one of them blew out as i was driving. please note, that there was no wear or tear on the treads. however upon looking at the blown out tire after the incident it was apparent to me that the tire was defective. but the manager at the tires plus in decatur on dekalb ind, goes into this thing that i didn't purchase road hazard protection. after listening to his b.s, i was livid,because i almost was killed on 85n when the tire blew out. it was clear to me that he was trying to distance themselves from any liability for selling me defective tires. i think and feel that he or the company could have been more sensitive to me and the life threatening ordeal i had just experienced. i want him and the owners of that company to place themselves in that situation, now imagine your kids or wife was in that vehicle and this had happened to you. i will never ever do business with them again, and i would never ever recommend that place of business to anyone!!! # my life matters, but maybe not at tires plus on dekalb ind... i am angry, i am hurt, i am saddened, and i am very disappointed at the way that they do business and the way they value their customers. or at least the way the de-valued me as if my life didnt matter.... please note i didnt even want a refund, just a new tire or the exchange of the two i purchased. better yet a peace of mind to at least know that the other tire i bought wasnt defective. in which they never even offered to look at. not a very good way to do business signed brian very disappointed wesley read more
