I was introduced to him by word of mouth marketing; a co-worker of my wife's mentioned him to my wife when her vehicle wouldn't run after she arrived to work. We called Larry and he came over with a jump pack, got the vehicle going, said it was the alternator and he could have it ready in two hours. Almost to the minute, two hours later I got a call, car was ready and the price was his very reasonable estimate. The dealership was taken over by new management. They wanted to go with more "industry-standard" pricing and upselling. Larry was not a fan and resigned rather than follow the pressure to pad bills with pre-determined hours for a service, or trying to push additional repairs that may not be needed immediately. Within a month, the dealer had to close the service department, and was towing repairs to a second facility. Within a year, the dealership closed down. Larry opened Honest Auto Repair. He is pretty much a "one man" operation, and he keeps his estimates fair for parts and labor (my brakes were squeaking last November when the first snow fell, and I asked him to check them out. He said he brushed the rust off them, so the squeaking stopped, and quoted me a price to repair them, but said I could probably wait until spring for the work. There was no charge for brushing the rust off. I got through the winter just fine, and in May the brake light on the dash board came on. I took the car back to Larry, and he did the work, for his quoted estimate from November.) He handles the maintenance that he is equipped to do, will make recommendations for anything he isn't prepared to do, and his warranty is his personal commitment to "make it right" if your repair doesn't hold up. It is the way business should be done.

They asked if I was having trouble or any issue and used the common sense of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it." I think another garage would have seen $$$ and performed unnecessary work. In my opinion, they are truly honest.

Now, I understand that they can't just waste their time chasing codes for free, but yes that was a little steep. I paid it because I needed my car repaired, and I really do like them. That being said, they now charge $253 to diagnose a check engine light. I just cannot afford to pay $250 simply to walk in the door before the repair pricing even begins, so I have had no choice but to take my car repair business elsewhere. They do a fantastic job, the techs are wonderful, the repairs have been good, but they have priced me out of being able to take my car to them. I USED to have almost all my car work done here when it was Dick Deans because they guys who owned and operated it were honest with money and work that was needed. After having work done on that wheel I thought I was just driving too fast for the curves on the interstate...... But then while on the interstate it started again. I took my car to Costco because had bought the tires there and they will rebalance any tire they have sold. They told me to be VERY careful and get the car worked on ASAP, not going over 50+ mph. I did and it was confirmed that the bushings were shot. Two separate mechanics confirmed this should have been obvious. Not to mention the VERY LARGE BILL They had this wheel off and saw nothing. I or anyone else driving the car could have been hurt or killed for this negligence.

He'd already checked with three of his suppliers to no avail, but promised to check an additional source as well as his stock of used tires. Said he'd respond shortly after 7 AM. He did, and we had the used tires installed within an hour before 9AM. Price was fair, service was quick, and we got two name brand tires to tide us over until we can get a full new set (the tires we had we're original equipment run-flats with 44k miles on them. The place doesn't look like much, but they definitely know what they're doing and the responsiveness was stellar.

They can change a tire. Beyond that do not go near tires plus. I spent over a thousand dollars and over two months trying to get my car fixed. Then I took it to Steinberg motors in omaha and they fixed it in half a day. I emailed the corporate website and they told me to get ahold of the local business myself. DO NOT HO HERE. I learned something new. Just because a business preaches customer loyalty, promises free tire rotation and repair, don't really appreciate your business. Their saying is just a gimmick. I will be a long time customer and will continue using there services. Times are tough and having my car back on the road in a timely manner is a priority for me.
