I'll try not to dive too deep in to the comedy of errors and $#%@ luck that caused me to end up stalled out 100 yards away from Tires Plus with a completely dead battery and presumed dead alternator a few minutes before they closed, but I will definitely pour on the praise for the team here that bailed me out when it did happen. Everyone on staff that night went out of their way to work well past closing time to replace my battery, order and replace my alternator and get me back on the road on a night where temperatures were well below zero, which is greatly appreciated, because I was mostly up the creek without a paddle if they didn't. While Blaine isn't my neck of the woods, based upon the experience I had I would certainly recommend this location and appreciate everything they did (with honorable mention to the kind person that gave me a jump while stranded in the middle of the highway, the Blaine PD for unlocking my car when it decided to lock all the doors with the keys in the ignition after I tried jumping it again, and to Top Ten Liquors for letting me use their phone since my cell phone was also conveniently locked in my car while I wasn't). read more

Customer Service is severely lacking. The last several times I have utilized them they have been short and unwilling to look into services that I inquired about. The last call I made to them they told me to call back when they have time. I have been using Tires Plus for over four years. Never again! My last three visits ( two at the Fridley location, the most recent one in Blaine). I have had numerous full synthetic oil changes and replaced all tires on two vehicles. An oil changes ago (Fridley) a mechanic lost a socket under my hood. I found out because when I drove away there was a grinding in the steering. Turns out the socket found its way into the rack & pinion. over an hour later it was extracted and I received an apoloft for my time. next visit was for an oil change. I made an appointment, was there early and after waiting over 45min, I left, very poor form on their part. Today, i made an appointment at the Blaine location, arrived early and was told the job would be complete in 75min. I returned 75 min later and not only was the work not started, they could not locate my keys. I waited another 10min, was handed my keys and I left. I have been more than understanding and patient. I DOT NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. read more

Poorly ran business. Called at 9am and made an afternoon appointment. Showed up to the Blaine location at appointment time to find out I wasn't on the schedule and they couldn't fit me in. Location continously blamed the Tires Plus call center and stated "it happens all the time". They even went so far to say " this issue isn't OUR stores problem" when I explained that to the customer, all these internal issues that I was being given don't matter. This Tires Plus is not a great place to take your car. I visibly saw a little old lady be up charged with add ons that clearly used fear tactics to add to the cost. I was concerned for her. Avoid this place at all costs, if they can't mount tires to your wheels properly who knows what else these guys are cutting corners on? I purchased a set of 4 tires through TireBuyer.com and had them installed via their recommended installation partner, Tires Plus in Blaine. The tires were shipped quickly, and I paid the quoted price to have them mounted and balanced on my truck the following day. A few months later, one of my tires had a slow leak which I assumed was a nail or other road hazard. After bringing it in for a check, I was told the issue was "pinhole corrosion around the bead," but not a problem they would warranty as a workmanship issue. I was heading out on a camping trip (towing a camper) the next day, so instead of arguing I had them fix the tire and hoped that was the end of it. Less than 3 months later, the three OTHER tires were also slow leaking... and after bringing my vehicle to another shop to have them take a look, they found all 4 tires had pinhole leaks along the bead. The cause? Tires Plus had never cleaned/ground the wheel surface before mounting the new tires, standard operating procedure for any new tire installation. Not only had TP screwed up the original install, they failed to properly clean the wheel I had "fixed" the second time. If you're comfortable with the prospect of a blowout and potentially fatal accident in your vehicle because these guys want to save a few bucks and cut corners on workmanship, this is your place. If you want your tires installed properly by people who stand behind their work, I'd suggest Discount Tire in Blaine/Coon Rapids, or PTL Tire and Auto in Ham Lake. read more

I took my vehicle in for a check engine light and left it there for them to diagnose the next morning, now mind you I had gone there on a Sunday afternoon but they couldn't fit me in. The next morning I was told that it was the exhaust manifold gasket and oxygen sensor and cost would be $1000 , I said okay but called back later and questioned them why the fee was so high as my son who was a former ASE mechanic even questioned the prices. I went to pick my car up and to my amazement was charged over another $400 for the service that they blame dealer for recommending total replacement of the whole sensor and assembly at over $800. Both prices are inflated , especially the exhaust manifold gasket, and then there was and extra $35 for shop supplies, didn't know I have to pay for the mechanics disposable gloves and shop towels! Very poor communication on the estimate and no communication about the increase of the repair. read more

It's going on 30 hours since I dropped my car off for 2 new tires. I was supposed to pick my car up yesterday but the guy delivering my tires never showed up. They have been giving me the runaround and actually lied to me saying they were pulling my car in. I drive the 45 minutes to the shop and my car is still sitting outside 3 hours later. I'm still sitting in the waiting area...was supposed to leave for a funeral at 6:00 am this morning for Georgia. It is now 2:50 pm. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Customer service is horrible! We called Tires Plus in Blaine and they told us if we get there by 5:50pm they would help us fix our tire. We made it in time, the lady was on the phone and when she got to us it was 8 minutes later and she said that she couldn't help us because they were closing. We drove 30 miles to get here and this is how they treat us!!! We brought the tire in - they didn't even have to remove it from the car. It was under warranty. I've been bringing my cars to these guys for about 12 years. I've had a 17 year old Tahoe, and two newer Subarus. The folks in this shop have always treated me fairly. They've never suggested things that were unnecessary, or even questionably necessary. I have a 2008 Subaru with about 50,000 miles and the original brakes. The last time I had it in for an oil change, I asked them to check the brakes. They said the brakes looked fine. Now, if there ever was an opportunity for an unneeded upsell, this was it, but they didn't do it. I appreciate their honesty, friendliness, and competitive prices. I'm going to try to get my 2018 Subaru in for an oil change tomorrow. These guys charge a fraction of what the dealer charges. I'll go to the dealer for warranty work and recalls. Prepaid for Destination LE3 tires at this location. The lady that helped me quoted me a price of $120 per tire for 265/70R16 tires. When I got home and told my husband how much, he said if the total of all tires were $800, that does not add up, so I called Tires Plus and spoke to the same lady and she said that was another tire she quoted and that the ones I picked out were actually $149 per tire. Then when I got the invoice after they installed them the price per tire was $187. My husband just said "let it go". So the installation date was 11/22/22. after about 2 weeks one of my back tires (passenger rear) was starting to go flat. I filled it up not thinking anything about it, but when it happened again, my husband said bring it back to Tires Plus it is a mounting issue. So I stopped in there on Friday 12/30/22 and told the guy at the counter that I had just purchased the tires and the one keeps loosing air. He said that, this happens and that it is probably a bead issue, and I also told him that they never mounted one of my better tires to my spare, he said we can take care of that, and asked if I could bring it on New Years Day. I said yes. Well when I got in there today, that same lady (that I found out her name is Kimberly and she was the manager) that sold me the tires was there and she said I would have to pay for it since I did not purchase the hazard warranty. I told her that this was not a hazard that it was a mounted issue. Kimberly refused to take care of it at no charge. So I stormed out there and said "your a horrible manager and you will be seeing a bad review from me!!!!!! read more

Copy of email I sent as soon as this happened, they replied and said someone would follow up in seven days and they did not.. I am reaching out as I had an experience there this week that I think you would want to be aware of. Monday morning I woke up with a flat tire, and AAA towed my car to your Blaine (central avenue) Tires Plus store. I called and let whoever was working know the car was coming. I received a call shortly after that my car was ready and the associate suggested all these additional maintenence services, but that the tire was fine, the flat was due to some corrosion or buildup or something due to Minnesota roads, and that they had fixed/sealed it, all good. I declined most of the additional work suggestion, agreed to an oil change and rear wiper blade replacement. When I got to Tires Plus that evening to pick up my car, I pay the bill and go out to my car, immediately the low tire pressure light came on. I went back in the store, and the guy working said that yeah that was on and that that was noted on the paperwork. (Which it was not noted anywhere, and the low tire pressure light is never on UNLESS theres an actual low tire pressure problem). He told me to pull up to bay 1 and a guy came out and aired up my tires. At this time the light went off. I asked the guy if that seemed odd, I mean I was in for a flat, and even with an oil change I assume tire pressure would be checked. He said yes it was and he would alert a manager. I said thank you and left. That night I was driving home from Minneapolis and the low tire pressure light came on again. The next morning I went to leave my house, and the same tire was flat again. I had an appointment at 8am in Shoreview that morning that I had had for over a month, and it was nearly impossible to reschedule. I drove my car (on the flat) to Tires Plus, and told the man (service manager Brian?) that I was just there yesterday and my tire was flat again. I asked if there was a loaner car or an option so that I didn't miss this appointment. He said there were no options like that, and with no urgency whatsoever brought the car in to check out. When he came back in, he told me the same thing, that there is no leak, they added more sealer (which is a mess and you can see it when you look at the car) used soapy water or whatever, it's ready to go. I told him whatever it takes I need it fixed, I can't wake up tomorrow morning to another flat, and his response was "I can't predict the future". Okay, but this is TIRES plus, yes? It was baffling. He refunded the 29.98 for the "tire repair" from the first day back onto my American Express and sent me on the road. Later that day, I'm driving between job sites and the low tire pressure light came on again. I called discount tire and explained the last two days, he said get there as soon as I can and they would figure it out, perhaps it was a cracked wheel or something, etc. My tire continued to lose air throughout the day but I couldn't miss more work as I had cancelled multiple clients over the last two days due to this tire, so I stopped and added air once and anxiously got to discount tire at the end of the day. They checked my car in, anticipating a bigger problem due to the inability to fix it at Tires Plus. A short while later the associate came out and told me that there was fiberglass in my tire. He said upon placing the tire under water it was bubbling like crazy and extremely obvious. The rest of the tire was fine. They fixed it, and I was on my way safety, and it was FREE?! Best experience ever, but thats for another email. Also, the man at discount tire told me I was the second person THAT DAY in with the same situation from that Tires Plus store. As the manager of a business myself, I can't imagine being okay with this going on at my store. It is not only a horrible example of customer service, it's also really very dangerous. They let me leave the store twice with a tire that wasn't safe to be on the road, and then got defensive when I questioned it. The man replying that he can't predict the future? I had to not say anything because I felt like if I did, I would burst into tears. I was so frustrated. I would never ever go to this business again, and because of this experience I will never go to a Tires Plus again either. read more

Called to see if they could fix my daughters tire that has a nail in the bottom of it. pretty simple, 30 minute fix basically. the gal that answered the phone was not only rude, but was obviously annoyed that i would ask if i could send my daughter there to have her tire fixed. She said that we could drop the vehicle off and they could "get to it in the next day or so... " i wont ever go here. flat out horrible service and no regard for kids that need a little assistance. Glad that i was able to call to Blaine Tire and Auto. The guy that answered there said, we are busy but yes, bring it over and we'll fix it quickly and get her back on the road. read more

Seriously I thought it was a joke. I brought my truck tire in a few weeks ago. I had a nail in the tire, removed it myself, and put a normal tire plug, like they would do to fix it. It still had a leak somewhere so thought I'd bring it in to see if it was another hole, valve stem etc. The manager when looking at the tire was seriously clueless on tire repair. The patch had a little bit of the rubber patch sticking out which is normal. She looked at it and was" Oh no that hole is way to big, we could never fix that" What lady? Do you even know the first thing on tire repair? I told her I had put a plug in which is what she was looking at. Couldn't even see the hole of a small screw. But nope, no way she could fix it. I laughed and left letting her know anyone else could fix it. Which they did at Blatz M&E Auto quickly and easily. Not sure what the learning curve is on tires but they dropped the ball! read more

Went in for new tires since my factory tires finally wore out after 89,000 miles. I was pleased with how long my factory tires lasted so I requested the same tires. The manager was super helpful in suggesting a much more cost effective tire that performs just as well as the tires that were already on my car. This saved me big bucks. The car drives so nice now! Really solid customer service at this place. I did make an appointment ahead of time, which is recommended as I saw a lot of walk-ins come in and get turned away because they were booked solid. I came in for what I thought was going to be fixing a nail in my tire, and my tire pressure light was on. After waiting a while, I started assuming something worse was going on, but finally they came back and said that they couldn't find a leak. The nail that I saw ended up not being a nail, but something similar looking just stuck in the tread. They fixed the pressure in all of my tires and then instead of charging me the $30 to fix my tire - which I was completely ok paying as they spent nearly an hour on it - they let me go free of charge. Terrible customer service!! I had a flat tire and this was the closest place to where I was. I got there 20 minutes before they closed. The guy was extremely rude to me. He refused to put on a new tire for me ( my tire had metal in it and was unrepairable) I asked if he could at least please put my spare on for me. He refused! Today, I went to Blaine Store for checking of brakes and one tire of my Buick Encore. I was treated like a VIP by Kristine Rober and Brandon Sack. They welcomed me to their store. Kristine also volunteered to help me to get the coffee from machine, I was confused and standing by the coffee machine.... They checked the tire and found one nail and fixed that. For the brakes they told me brakes are fine. I love their honesty. I tested their honesty again, I told them to check the battery of my car. They checked the car battery and showed me the computer results which was also fine. They could suggest me to change battery or brakes to get business, but they were honest. I love their honesty. I will prefer to drive about 10 miles to their store instead of Store at Lexington Circle Pines which is 1.5 miles from my home. In the past they also fixed the car of my son in law which was not properly fixed by Tire Plus, Lexington Store and Lexington store charged him about $500. read more
