Both occurred because they had broken valve stems that must've happened during installation. Rubens was able to replace the valve steam to fix the first tire. However, I was out of town when the 2nd flat happened and had to buy a new tire from Mavis Tires to replace it. When mounting the new tire, the mechanic at Mavis said the flat happened due to a leaky valve stem, and he also saw dry rot inside the tire. When I brought the tire back to Rubens, they did not want to give me a refund. They said that the warranty wouldn't cover it, but they would contact the manufacturer. However, it's been a month and they have not contacted me. Ultimately I feel scammed because new tires should not have dry rot, and I spent $750 on what should've been good tires. I am willing to change this review if they resolve this in good faith.

A co-worker was able to fill her tire with air with a portable compressor. I told her I would meet her at Tire Kingdom in Apopka. Wow! Awesome customer service! Although it was busy, they fit us in and as suspected, the cause of the flat was a large screw. See photo. They told us they should be able to patch it. Sure enough they were able to, then reset the tire sensor and all was done. When I asked how much I owed them, was told no charge, would just hope we consider them for future tire and general automotive needs. Are you kidding me? Caveat emptor A little background on me first!…read moreI went to college for Auto tech and worked in the field then joined the Air Force as an Aircraft mechanic, after I left the Air Force I manage an Auto parts store for 5 years, then built cranes in Omaha, now a top tier forklift technician. Now that you know my background we will begin. Friday December 26th, I took my car to Mavis in Apopka, I want to get my tires balanced and rotated I had been having a barely noticeable twitch in my steering wheel and believed I had lost a balance weight. Who I believe was the assistant manager or maybe a service writer assigns a tech who was waiting for work, he takes my car into a bay and raises it, A few minutes goes by and I see the tech flashing his light at the Assistant Manager and he starts to head out, I stopped him and told him I don't need a 200 point inspection I just need my tires balanced! So he goes out and a couple minutes later comes back and says we found why your car is shaking, my response was oh really show me so we go out and he says feel this feather edging on the tire I reached out and touched it and just looked at him and said really these tires were almost new with about 7000 miles on them with nothing more than absolutely normal, I said again just balance and rotate them please. It's at this point the tech looks at me and says and all you struts are blown out, again I say show me so he says you see the dirt on top so I reach out and touch now if it is blown I'd expect to see wet dirt and oil mixture on top and maybe even some out running down the strut and I'd also expect my car to be bouncing up and down like a basketball while driving, so I reach out and touch the top of the strut and pull my hand back completely clean, at this point I stated I'm a tech just balance and rotate. So they tried to take advantage of me twice with tires and struts that I didn't need probably 2500 dollars! It makes me wonder how many of the five star reviewers got scammed and just weren't automotive savvy enough to know it. The one part of the experience that wasn't a scam was he told me I had a brake light out. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) Oh the balance fixed my shake as I knew I would!
