This is what their incredibly poor service caused.

I pulled in the tire outlet a few weeks ago because my tire was rapidly dropping pressure. I dropped it off and they said they would fix it. They never called me back and ended up being into the next day. When I went to go pick it up they said it would be free and didn't give me any paperwork. I was happy about that until I got half a mile down the road and had, a complete blowout causing me to have to pull over on the side of the road and put on my spare tire. I immediately went back. Manager was kind of dismissive and said oh you have another piece of metal stuck in your tire. That's when the mechanic came out and said, "you gave that back to the customer? I wasn't done with that yet. I told you that there were, two holes in the tire that needs to be repaired. "They sent me down the road with a tire that was about to blow out. It could have caused an accident. Then they told me that I had to buy a new tire. They still didn't give me any paperwork and it took them three weeks. They never called me back and I had to keep calling back over and over and over again. They gave me a little bit of a discount on the tire, but it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The management team is absolutely worthless. And I would warn anyone before going there. I'd rather go to Walmart, and for me, that is a lot.

Pulled this out of my tire!

What to do when you're on a road trip far from home and your tire is flat? Well panic was my first response but once sanity prevailed I got a temporary spurt of air from my hotel and headed to Old City Tire. Definitely not the fancy type of garages I'm used to but these guys know tires! They've been in business a long time, have decent prices and made me feel comfortable from the time I pulled in (no small feat for this big city girl who relies on her car to work!) And the price? Just $15 for the repair (clearly I'm not in Chicago anymore!) I was in and out in no time and reassured that all was well so I could continue on my journey. If you find yourself in St. Augustine and you need tires- this should be your go to spot!

Had my rims delivered here for installation. They called me to reschedule my appointment that was for next week. I literally was there 45 minutes later to drop of my jeep and they called me 2 hours later to pick it up. My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service and everyone I encountered there was professional. We would definitely go back to them and I am glad to support local business.

I had an incredible experience with Melvin's. I was told By Advance Auto that my alternator was…read morebad on my 2013 Toyota Sienna. After calling around to a few places, I decided on Melvin's. First, they honored the lifetime warranty that Napa and other auto parts places gave the alternator. Secondly, they gave a year longer warranty on labor than the local Toyota dealerships. Lastly, they have the best price. Replacing the alternator is nearly an $800 job. Because of the high expense, Adam took it upon himself to test it before simply replacing it. It turns out, it wasn't bad after all. My van has a lot of specialized driving equipment that allows me to drive, even though I am a quadriplegic paralyzed from my chest down. When Adam and his team were unsure how to troubleshoot some of the specialized equipment, he did not hesitate to call the handicap equipment company that built my van. They took the time to properly diagnose the problem and even helped me contact a local company specializing in the equipment installed in my van. Furthermore, they did not charge me for all their help! So instead of costing nearly $800 to replace an alternator that was not bad, I was able to replace a $26 backup battery that tied into my Specialty Equipment. I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Melvin's! Adam and the others treated us with respect, honesty, and like family. I know who to call first with any auto issues that my family and I may have in the future! Thank you for all of your help!
